0:38 though... Franklin and Jefferson were about as atheist as I am. They were generally deistic; they believed in a generative "prime mover" creator god but not the sort of intercessory god found in the Abrahamic religions.
One can (and people have) argued that's essentially a functional atheism without the guts to be philosophically atheist... but I'm comfy with my beliefs so I'll stick to my fence-sitting deism. ^_^
