Cinema is the all the poorer without Kubrick. Amongst the saddest days of my life when he died. The last true genius of film is gone. Whenever I hear of some modern director called "visonary" it makes me cringe. It's all flsh and no substance. Kubrick knew how to manipulate the best of both worlds.
