  • What chord is that on 4:49?? :)

  • @UberStrikeBaylie E minor7 (so the notes are E, G(natural), B, and D). Hope that helps!

  • @hilightnotes Thank you!!

  • My personal favorite piece from Lost is "Moth of a Plan" which is from the final season episode "Across the Sea".

  • whats the code a 4:36 ? its hard to hear u over the piano on that one

  • @JMayzler D Major

  • Oh the "John's redemption" is actually called "Locke'ed out again"

  • Okay I love you for this!! Can you please do a tutorial on the "Traveling theme" and "John's Redemption" too?? Both are from LOST

  • cake?

  • I luv lost music

  • Great videos mate! Now somthing you dont explain in your tutorials however is i notice when your playing the bass in richard theme, your fingers tend to do a wave (like play the notes at different times) to give it a very aw amazing sound.. Would you mind explaining that a ittle more :-) I'm trying to catch it but just cant grasp it yet!

Love the tutorials! And your piano skillz, such an inspiration

  • i might buy a crappy keyboard off ebay or somewhere and make it my mission to place these songs

  • hmm your chords seem kinda wrong.... is it tuned differently? your c min don't sound like a c min

  • TEEHEE

    i heart the lost music

  • Wow. I doubt ill ever play as good as you, especially since I just got my keyboard! But I can still maybe try the melodies. Anyway, thank you, ive been looking for good tutorials, and you have three very good songs all in one great tutorial! Thank you very much. I can play the Richard Melody just from a almost 10 minute of practice, thanks to you. That Jacob melody is scaring me though lol

  • I like your tutorial, I am currently playing Richards theme by ear as well, but im using a program that is telling me the notes. Your playing yours using different keys than mine, but ours both sound great in our own unique way. Yours sounds good, mine sounds a bit different but still definitely richards theme. Here were my chords: A#-35 F#-31 A#-35 C-37 C# C-37 A#-35 A#-35 F#-31 A#-35 C-37 G#-33 F-30
  • @BickeringBlokes Thanks.

The notes you posted are notes, not chords (unless the numbers mean something - I wasn't sure what the numbers meant!). But either way, it's the same notes per se just in a different key :)

But yeah, I can't comment on the chords you're using because I don't know what they are! Let me know if there's a way I'm supposed to read the numbers to understand the chords :P

  • @BickeringBlokes What software do you use?

  • I think there are many of us that would love to have the piano sheet music. I know I'd happily pay to have them!!

I just don't understand why the producers haven't released any of it. There's a big market for it. I've seen requests online for years... I know because I've been looking for them for years as well! ;)

  • Maybe try putting the camera on top of the piano and just try and not bend over the keys :)

  • aweosome i've just take piano lessons since yesterday and tthere are two reasons why did , first because i wanted two scince 5 years old , and the other is so i could play all the lost piano piece this video has helped me alot thanks

  • thanks so much for these tutorials!!!

  • I have the sheet music for There's no place like home;

message me your email if you want it

  • I love Richard's theme so much!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You should do the tune that plays at the end of "Across The Sea" when Jacob says goodbye to his dead mother and brother.

  • Thank you so much!! Thanks to you, people like me (beginners!) can play the music they enjoy ;)

  • Hey is ther a way maybe that u could email me the sheet music or maybe even this vid.... cuz i dont have a piano close to my comp so i cant really go back and forth... i will let u know wat my email is when u tell if u can snd me anythin... PLZ!

  • @lostrox1456 I don't have any sheet music made, sorry.

If you want, send me a message about it (to my inbox), and then if I ever get around to making sheet music (if I did it wouldn't be for another couple months), then I can send it to you. But yeah, otherwise, sorry! Hope the video at least helps a bit :)

  • Is there a way you coudl email me the sheet music or maybe even the video cuz i dont have a computer right next to my piano so i cant relly go back and forth trying to figure this out...... tell me if u can and i will give u my email

    PLZ!!!

  • Do you take requests at all? I'm kind of new to piano, but I really want to learn how to play the songs from LOST. Would be maybe consider making a tutorial for the Rose and Bernad theme as well as the Sawyer and Juliet theme? Thanks man for any help.

  • @Kubrickjunkie I'll consider it :) it's more an issue of how much time I have/when I can get around to it. I'm working on some other pieces right now (some Lost, some not), so I probably wouldn't do it for another few weeks at least.

  • Well at least you will consider it haha. I cant wait to see what other LOST pieces that your working on. Cool! I really look forward to your videos on youtube and keep up the good work.

  • Dude, this was amazing. I have been looking for tutorials on all three of these. I'm pretty sure your the very first to make one for jacob's and richard's theme! Amazing job! Your going to be a LOST god!

  • Thanks for doing this! I haven't played piano in almost seven years, but recently decided to start playing again so i could play the music from Lost. Giacchino is fantastic.

Oh, and as for something you could do to make better tutorials, i saw a video once where they had the individual notes in come up on the screen like a karaoke thing, which is quite useful for those who want to play but aren't actually practically trained or know the theory.

  • Anyone else notice how Mike Giacchino is spewing out new motifs every episode now? It's insane.

  • Great job! There are so few Lost tutorials on the web((

  • Oooo snazzy HD ;) : ) i have to say ive been watching your videos for a long time! You do the best piano covers i've seen from LOST. You dont just choose the simple "Life and Death" themes, you find ones which have never been sheet music and just play and it sounds amazing, My favorite lost piece is Bobbing for Freighters because its the freighter theme but that wouldn't be easy on piano ;) : ) You should create a tutorial for all your covers! : ) Well done, very professional tutorial!! (:

  • @AwesomeDylnamic Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback. It encourages me to do more! :)

I was actually just thinking of doing parts of Bobbing for Freighters in my next video - I won't do the whole thing of course, cause it wouldn't sound great on the piano (mostly percussive and intense brass :P), but I'll get the main bits.

  • Oh wow tht would be amazing! : ) Well im subscribed so ill be looking out!

  • I LOVE You!

  • Awesome. I'm actually almost done learning your part 7 by ear (and what little I can see from the side view). This will make things much easier. In any case, you inspire me to want to learn piano! Thanks!

  • @emersonmafia Glad I can be a source of inspiration :D

  • ALRIGHTY MY CAMERA IS ABOUT TO BE DONE :) thanks again

  • @Piano8myhomework My camera is evil!! Makin' me rush my tutorials... Geeeez

    :P

  • yay congrats on your first tutorial. WOW AWESOME :)

  • Yay!! its great im so happy you did this

  • @kev36092 Thanks, glad you liked it :)
