I've been looking for an MMO like this, the freedom offered by games like UO and AC far outperformed all the "next-gen" mmo's that have been dumbed down to expand the market. Compare AC/ACDM to AC2 for example. In AC for example you had so much freedom in development that it was possible to gimp your character... most next-gen gamers have no concept of a gimp due to balancing. But balancing also means fewer choices in those games.

The games good, great ideas are implemented, but unfortunately not very well. It's very unpolished and hard to learn, mainly because the development team is fairly small for a fairly big project. There's a lot of problems with other things in game, some mechanics are unfair, things are imbalanced, UI is shitty, but they know about most of these issues, should only be a matter of time till they fix them.
I didn't like this game at all- The concept was good. The fact that you could bring up your own city/towns is awesome. I guess I was looking for something more refined.

This game looks pretty interesting. I used to be a hardcore Asheron's Call player and Im still in search for a game with its Story line, dynamic characters, pvp, and community. I've been playin WoW for awhile now but its nothing like AC ever was. Is there a free trial game? I'd hate to pay $50 first out and then come to not like it.
I've played this game. It is a fun game if you like to go through what's required to get you into the shape where you'll be able to actually raid. But if you don't find yourself a clan or you get kicked out, You're fucked. The world itself is huge. It can literially take 4 or 5 hours to get to another city. I don't know if that's necesarily a good thing, Because when your group gets attacked the rules of the game change really fast: It becomes every man for himself -game.
I want this game... looks like a lot of fun, looks skill based, epic PvP that isn't instanced... just one question, is it a faction based game? I like being able to kill anyone who ticks me off lol. Though, I imagine Id be gearless, poor, and kinda unhappy when friends of the guy showed up eh? :P

This game looks pretty interesting. I used to be a hardcore Asheron's Call player and Im still in search for a game with its Story line, dynamic characters, pvp, and community. I've been playin WoW for awhile now but its nothing like AC ever was. Is there a free trial game? I'd hate to pay $50 first out and then come to not like it.

I've played this game. It is a fun game if you like to go through what's required to get you into the shape where you'll be able to actually raid. But if you don't find yourself a clan or you get kicked out, You're fucked. The world itself is huge. It can literially take 4 or 5 hours to get to another city. I don't know if that's necesarily a good thing, Because when your group gets attacked the rules of the game change really fast: It becomes every man for himself -game.

I want this game... looks like a lot of fun, looks skill based, epic PvP that isn't instanced... just one question, is it a faction based game? I like being able to kill anyone who ticks me off lol. Though, I imagine Id be gearless, poor, and kinda unhappy when friends of the guy showed up eh? :P

yeah you can kill anyone.
some races are allied though, but you can still kill them if you choose.
the game does require a bit of time to level up and can be a bit tiedoius at times just because when you get killed you can lose everything you own.

It switches between 1st and 3rd person depending on what type of weapons you use. If your going to be playing on the NA1 server, sign up and give us a shout in game. Cheers.

Totally agree, a free trial would be nice, and hopefully AV does this soon, but there is a 30 day free trial after the initial game purchase which is better then nothing.
