There is a fuse that u can pull from the corvette that will allow all 4 exaust pipes to open all time, instead of just when it is about 3500 rpms. When the fuse is removed ur vette will sound even better than this
The sound becomes slightly more aggressive. The camshaft controls how fast and how long of a duration the intake valve and exhaust valves are open for. Obviously the larger the intake/exhaust and longer the duration then you will get an increase in power along with that.
if you install a hotter cam in your car it changes the torque curve in a way that you get more torque in higher rpms but less torque in lower rpms, so you will also get worse fuel economy and less power when doing a get go from zero unless you first rev it up and then a bit of drop the clutch, so that means it's bad for fuel consumption, but yeah it does make the peak torque and horsepower higher but it substracts from the bottom end and also the car will sound like it too :P
I love the sound of the exhaust, but I wonder if I could live with it on a daily basis... I have a Z51 C6 with the PNP exhaust and I get tired of the noise all the time when I set it on loud. It sure sounds nice when you want to hear it though....

I think it sounds better. My dads friend has a 1970 GTO with a crate engine in it, and it sounds killer. A modern Corvette sounds more controlled and modern. You can actually cruise in a Corvette no problem. You cruise in an old goat and pretty soon your ears are going to start bleeding and you'll wreak of rich running V8 (doesn't smell that bad to me but others might not think so).

Does anyone else notice there are more domestic or japanesse imports posted on here racing than say lambos and ferraris? Are they afraid of losing or are they unreliable? corvettes are the same or even better then some of those imports. they are very reliable, i have had mine for a long ass time, and my dad has had his sence before i was born. so yeah, people with these imported cars aways think they are better when really they are no different. Personaly i think that people how buy these imported cars are dumb to pay that much when they can just buy a vette and have the same thing for way less money.
That's what I think too! Plus minimal upgrades can be fairly cheap, and there wouldn't even be a race. I got old chevy truck and my buddies toyota truck a 97, the bolts sheared right off the a arm and busted, and messed up his fender. Plus you never see a 1960 or 70 somethin import.

That's what I think too! Plus minimal upgrades can be fairly cheap, and there wouldn't even be a race. I got old chevy truck and my buddies toyota truck a 97, the bolts sheared right off the a arm and busted, and messed up his fender. Plus you never see a 1960 or 70 somethin import.
