@ZR1Terror It will sound a lot like it, yes. One of the first mods I did was the exhaust and it changed only a little when I did the rest of the mods.

Yeah I've had a tune without a dyno run before and it was so lean, I thought I heard it pinging all the time.... Great for emissions but ran way too hot.. Good luck!!!

@ss11racing It's been tuned, but the initial tune, the tuner wanted to go a little rich to start out with, to keep it from blowing itself skyhigh. He's the tuner, I'm not, so I took his word. I haven't been able to get back down and have it retuned.

its running way too rich...tune up the air/fuel ratio so its not throwing so much soot..you probly have to re-mapp the ECU

Very nice TA. i am looking at the same set up for my 01. i was wondering if you daily drive that. And if you did how well it works as a daily. Also thats all on the stock block and no notched pistons?

@TheGara09 I kinda wish I'da gone more aggressive on the cam and think I will now.. It was a daily driver for the last 3 years and I would do it all over again.. I've just picked up a new vehicle so this one will be a toy.. I'd love to put a blower in it.. :)

@csgtfaught I'm not sure of the actual gains.. I didn't put it on the dyno when I threw it on.. Was there a SOTP gain? I was not sure.. It seemed to pull harder in the upper RPM's after I put it on..

I really like that you don't get that choppy idle. Has the idle been moved up or is it at the factory setting? Whats the maximum that the TR224 cam needs to be revved to?

The idle is pretty much stock.. It's bumped up like 100rpm or so, just to keep it nice and smooth..

The 224 stops making power at around 6,600.. So you don't have to rev it through the roof to make power.. :D

Yeh, it's running a lil' rich though.. I need to get it tuned again.. We went a touch rich right after the work to keep from cookin' it..

I'm pretty happy with 420 to the wheels in an automatic.. :)

Yeah but the power gains are sometimes pretty impressive when you get a cam. But this car sounds good and it does not have a huge cam so i see what you mean. BTW your silverado sounds sick.

by the way the car shifts, coming out of your driveway you would have slightly raised the rpm to get off the hill, you would hear you shift into 2nd gear once you went around the hill,and such
