He didnt have Yao (the entire series), he didnt have Skip (the first two games) so he was scoring, defending, getting assists, running point!
So he barley got a rest the first three quarters. Not to mention in every first three quarters utah would keep switching players on him.
It means he ran out of gas doing all of that stuff. But when Skip returned in game 3 it was dif story.

actually i think mcgrady is better without yao. stretches last year and even this year, tmac did it by himself and proved he can do that.
a shame he didnt do it in the playoffs. and yes, the team is a contender when healthy and with everyone on the same page.
