My wife is from Singapore, so I am guessing you are from there as well. (Assuming you are from Singapore) what church do you attend, next time we are home we would like to attend.

  • @dakinebrowns hi, thanks for all the encouragement. I am from Singapore and I am attending a church called Bethesda Church Bukit Arang. It's located somewhere in Serangoon Ave 3

  • Hello Daniel, In your intro you have G, D, Em, and you said E7 is it the same as C? comparing this key with the one on Jesus lover of my sou, you said it is C. Thanks man

  • hi, for this song, the intro is D, Em, C. the Em, you notice that my ring finger and pinky is on the 3rd fret of the 1st and second string. that makes it an Em7, but i just refer to it as Em. I did not mention any E7

  • Thanks Daniel, I am leading worship next week and needed to learn this song, thanks for the help with the strumming

  • TNX for the vid...but i have problems learning the strumming and timing pls help me

  • Thanks for explaining the strum pattern. Lots of people show the chords - strum patterns are harder to find lessons for!

  • u sound awesome was wondering if u had a tutorial for show me your glory?

  • This guy is great in teaching. First time I am actually learning how to play guitar.

  • cool, you sing good too!!!

  • Nice Voice

  • that was excellent!@ and yes that definately helped me out alot...especially the strumming! keep making more of these worship songs on guitar! id love to learn more!

    Thanks!

    (amazing voice by the way)

im also trying to learn how to play more love more power...can u help ?

  • omg really nice, yeah u should do another video of you singing the whole song. ty daniel!

  • can you also teach another third day song cry out to Jesus? Thanks Daniel

  • Daniel, are the introd chords D, Em, D9 or D ,Em, G?? Changing from D to Em during UD,UD?? Pls advise

    rgds,Newbie

  • D,Em,C9

D to Em you have to strum (D)d,d,u (Em)du,dd,du

then C9 use the full strumming pattern for it, which is d,d,udu,dd,du

  • Daniel, can you teach us another song by Third Day called "I've always loved you" ?

  • 5ive stars bra!

  • bro I'm not being sad, but you're singing voice is not wat I was expecting to sound like!!!! good stuff, you should do another vid of you just singing the whole song!

  • i do have a video of just singing this song, this video is a video response to it

  • wow! im learnin again.. T_T

    thanks for this upload

  • So is the video strumming pattern (D,D, UD,UD,D,DU,D) correct or is (D,D,UD,DD,DU) correct?

  • i would write it as D,D,UDU,DD,DU

  • ok... that helps alot ...

    thx man

  • so the strumming is like down down up down up down down down??

  • Hi Daniel, My name is Renzo from Perú, congratulations, Good is a inspiration for us. The Chords are the original? or is your interpretation? thanks, I play guitar in a Youth married group, and I ever see your videos. Chau

  • the chords are my own interpretation

  • Hi Daniel, thanks for your response...i have a question ...this chords could be used in a electric guitar????

  • hmm... it really depends. most of the time, the electric plays small parts at a time, not usually strum chords. but if you have a clear tone, i guess you could strum it on the electric

  • you know what dude...

    your awsome...

got it in like 5 mins after watching this video. thanks alot dude :)

oh yeah and great voice btw :)

  • thank you soo much for making these instructional videos. You Rock..

  • I was just wondering, in the verse, when exactly (in the strumming) do you change chords from D to Em?

P/S - Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question; It's just that I'm pretty new to guitar-playing and am literally learning from scratch from your vids. Thank you so much :)

  • the strumming pattern for the song is D,D,UDU,DD,DU. So D,D,U (use D) DU,DD,DU (use Em)

    hope it's easy to understand

  • That was brilliant, thanks!

  • what about the Em to the G?

  • it's the same strumming pattern, just that you change from Em to G while strumming the pattern

  • so for D i do down down up then EM down up down down then G down....

  • oh. wait, i think i got it wrong. from D to Em you are correct. then when you get to the C, you start the strumming pattern all over again (D,D,UPD,DD,DU) and then repeaat D, Em, C

  • ohhh okay. Thankyou so much.

  • great instuctional

do u know how to play You Said by Shane and Shane Cover cuz i would like to see it

  • great instructional video!!

i wish i had a video camera like that.

  • another thing i notice that when you are strumming you use the strings e B and G about half the time and D A and E the other half....is this right?

  • hmm. i think what you're trying to say is that i don't strum all the strings? well, let me give you an example, if you strum a G, strum all 6 strings. if you strum an A, strum from the 5th string down. if you strum a D, strum from the 4th string down. it's kinda hard to explain, but usually, you strum the bass note of the chord. if you play a D and strum all 6 strings, it will sound weird.

  • Hey, I'm new at playing the guitar but I am doing pretty good on this song. I was wondering when you strum upwards, do you actually pluck all the strings or is it only like a couple? I'm kinda having trouble with the strumming part and my fingers are killing me so I need to figure something out soon.

  • oh.. for the upstrokes, it's usually just the first few strings. (1st 2nd and 3rd)

as for the fingers hurting, it's usual. as you play longer, you'll get used to it and your fingers will adapt :)

  • that's right... they'll even get callus...

  • thanks for showing how to play it! you're really talented and am shure a lot of us can learn lot from you!God bless you!

  • Hey! U got a great voice..

    Nice guitar sound..rich n smooth!

    Great guitar skills!

    God is great!

    God bless u!

  • CAPO 3

  • thank you so much!

how much is your guitar coast?

    얼마애요?

  • about $400 if you convert it to USD

  • wow your voice is awesome

  • thank you so much! just in church today, playing along with my church group,i was like.. what on earth is the actual strumming pattern on this song? thanks so much for helping me out; God bless you,and continue in his work!

    God bless,A

  • Great Job,,, thanks for showing us how to play this awesome song!!

  • This guy I know started up a jail ministry 20 years ago and recently he asked if I could lead the worship. I was panicked because I literally knew 4 chords and nothing about strum patterns. I prayed and God brought the answer. Now I have 6 songs down thanks to your instructional videos. All I can say is thanks for doing this.

    SINCERELY,

    Chrissy

  • great song nice singing

  • wow thank you soo much man this is exactly what ive been looking for

    god bless

  • man it helps me a lot .your a good teacher may be u sud do it 4 more songs

  • dude the lord has given you this talent stick with it

  • you sing like an angel. great job.

  • i actually like this stuff...haha. nice explaination

  • thanks alot most helpful!

  • nice voice

  • um, exactly. the G bass is not right. sing along and try the basslines, G is pretty off. my take, of course. as for tuning, it's either your intonation's not right (neck warped etc) or the guitar's not tuned, coz the G you strummed in the beginning is definitely off.

    again, my take.

  • C/G in the chorus as you said is wrong. it's a C bass. and sorry to say, your guitar was out of tune...

  • erm, the C is a standard C chord, but i add in a G bass on the 6th string as well (3rd fret 6th string)

as for the guitar being out of tune, it sounds perfectly fine to me

  • can u repeat the bridge again explaining the fingering of the chords

  • thanks! I'll try to put up my own version soon. with some chords different than this version

  • God Bless You! I also play the guitar in our church. Thank you so much for generously sharing ur talent to others who want to learn.

  • thanks!

  • Hi! You're video is very very helpful. Thanks and God bless! Keep it up!

  • Great job! I play Guitar too and I love playing this song.

  • really good job Danial!! I appriciate your taking the time to clearly show how to do the chord transitions. I too am learning to play (at 60 years of age), and i am able to follow your lessons. Thanks, and God bless. Please keep up the praise, i think you were made for this purpose!!
