  • what is the difference between the pro and normal version of the 990

  • @MountainBoysTV The dt 990 premium(normal) was made for home use, and pro for studio. The difference is the look, the cabel,(pro have longer cabel,3m, and it's coiled) and clamping on the pro is a bit higher i've heard(not tested). The sound is the same more or less.

  • @shadk89 do you know if there is any sound? i imagine the pro version will be more neutral sounding

  • @MountainBoysTV I think this page may help you - headphoneinfo(dot)com/content/Beyerdynamic-DT-990-Headphones-Review-867/Beyerdynamic-DT-990-PRO-Comparison.htm - oh, and last difference is the prise :P

  • Where can I find the DT990 Pro (pre 2005) in 600 ohms?

  • @NuvoCirocPatron I don`t know, sorry!

  • Ronald Jenkees!

  • I want them so much. But I must be happy with Senn. 555s for a while :-)

  • pc?

  • @GamersUnite4Life What? =)

  • MADE IN GERMANY : d

  • Hi. I have the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD sound card and it already has a headphone amp. Do you think this is suffice for thess headphones? Do you recommend this to listen musics like Rock, Metal, and Dubstep? Nice video =)

  • @guiga0cs Hi. I've never used this soud card, but I think it will drive the DT990 250 Ohms well... This model is a hard headphone to drive. I don't have it anymore, but when I was using it with my Alo RX and iBasso D6 portable AMP, I had to turn the volume not in high gain almost to 95%. When I was using the DT990 with my Bravo V2 amp, It could drive the Beyer well, but the high frequences was a bit to much, and the bass seemed a little disconnected from the mids and highs.

  • @rmappita So I think the DT990 will be a little "slow" for Rock and Metal. Now I'm using a Denon D5000 and I liked it more. =)

  • @rmappita denon is quite a lot more money though and its closed i think?

  • @guiga0cs In my opinion these headphones in the music you want to listen are not working very high up the treble a lot and I really need a decent headphone amp to tame them. They play the styles of my audio carat ruby second I'm pleased with their sound:) but zauważałym hard rock that still dominates the top.

  • @guiga0cs hi, how did it work?

  • @TranceDjFate Well, the headphones are really good, and they have an exceptional clarity, so I can hear every part of the music. However, I think that the bass is not strong enough, so I'll probably have to buy an amp, but the problem is that I'm not an expert, and I have no idea of what amp to buy.

  • @guiga0cs Hey! If the best/affordable thing you can do it buy the Zo2 and its portable and its got really great reviews and it is specifically MADE to increase bass! Like a lot :D! also if you want good sound from your PC, bu the E10 which is a DAC/amp and then conenct it to the zo, and itl sound AMAZING! enjoy ^_^

  • @guiga0cs i have the dt990 pro's running off of a fiio e10 usb dac/amp,and they sound sublime. the fiio dac is under a hundred bucks and is well worth the money if you need to run headphones such as these. the dac doesnt mess with the sound noticable. but over all, once you get into headphones at this level of sound reproductionfidelity, low bitrate mp3 files are noise, and in a bad way

  • @natospec1 so glad yo usaid that, i got that amp/dac and im waiting for the dt990s pros in the mail! cant wait!

  • @guiga0cs dt990pro sounds wonderful with amp schiit asgard

  • I have these headphones, I don't like the low end, it's very treble..

  • @NasseerBoss Yes, I did not like it too.

  • @rmappita WHATS WRONG WITH THE BASS?

  • @NasseerBoss what do u not like about the low end?!?

  • I love how the iPhone was in the shot. :)

  • how do these sound unamped, or powered by a small portable amp like my Fiio E5?

  • @AlteredVisionz Hi, this headphone is very difficult to drive. I had to use my iBasso D6 in High Gain and almost all the volume nob up to drive it well. So I really think the E5 won't drive it.

  • @AlteredVisionz An Indeed Tube amp ar a Bravo V2 with 6922 Tubes will drive it well!

  • nice glimpse. Have you tried anything else down the line in the beyers? I heard the 770, 880, and 990 all have pretty varying characteristics. What headphones have you tried and what kind of sound "signature" do you like? (ie forward and engaging, layed back and calm, bassy, bright, warm, cold) and who would you recommend these to?

  • hey just wondering, how much can other people around you hear the music since they are open back headphones. Is it like really loud or mostly quiet.

  • @CHRONO1911 Not too loud, and not too quiet. People will be able to hear! =) Peace

  • Nice :)

  • @mrdeathamore Thank You =)

  • @rmappita What you can say about this headphones? I want buy it with Asus Xonar Essence ST - I think this is great combination :))

  • @mrdeathamore nooooooooooooooooooooooooo way. get a fiio e7 and e9. that sound card wont do these headphones justice.

  • @swuggl3 Why not? And fiio e7 - this is the amplifier? this is wiil be good with my integrated realtek sound and DT 990 pro?

  • @mrdeathamore the e7 is the DAC, the e9 is the amp. it uses usb 2.0 so no soundcard is needed.

  • @swuggl3 so I need to buy it both (e7 and e9)?

  • @mrdeathamore yes.
