Fue compuesta en el 78 época en que Latino América sufría una de las peores páginas de su historia, esta canción fue un himno de esperanza para mucha gente, y León como a muchos artistas populares debieron recurrir al exilio para salvar sus vidas. As far as I know, this song is from a poet from Chile, I have a video of Mercedes Sosa performing this song along with Leon Gieco and they said it was from some one from Chile.
