  • Padrão solução sempre ou ...

  • If someone you really trusts tells you the circuit's dead.

    you test it anyways

  • that is sooooo Wreckless!! What ever happened to Testing/Testing your tester??

  • check out "man electrcuted on train" now thats fucking brutal

  • These guys didn't get shocked it's an electrical flash. Don't go around telling people they can touch a hot wire as long as they aren't grounded. Your basically asking someone to kill themselves. Too many dumbass's in this world, and too many dumbass's doing electrical work.

  • Yea, working on switchgear sucks. Many time there are still live control circuits in the cabinet even when the mains are off. Ungrounded systems and "grounded B" systems are still common in Milwaukee area as well. A phase rotation meter only works on live circuits though, but they have to be able to handle whatever voltage is present just like any other meter. I've seen meters explode when used on high voltage circuits. We used to work on live stuff all the time, now we rarely do.

  • new underpants please

  • i think they DID piss their pants,i know i would have.

  • STOP, DROP, ROLL HE REMEMBERED.

  • So Jim how's the wife and kids doing ? Kids are great but the wifes a bitch ! Shit sorry to hear that , mines been acting up too , hey can ya pass me the BOOOOOM !

  • Quick, take your clothes off!

  • 0:07 - Shiiiiiiit! Stop drop and roll!

  • Is this on? Watch Henry, I'll bet I can touch it real fast and nothing will happen!

  • One flash and your ash!

  • this shit's scary. i will always wear my ppe and follow proper safety procedures because i am terrified of getting electrocuted. i am going on deployment on my first ship in one week, and between this and that crazy Final Destination 5 movie, i feel like rolling sleeping in my ppe lol.

  • Never assume ANYTHING, because when you ASSUME things and people find that I was with you, then you only end up making a ASS out of U and ME

  • @starguard Only assume EVERYTHING is going to go bad... so you are prepared for the worst and everything that could happen (^.^)

  • They wont need to shave for months now....

  • bloody fools they should not be working in the electrical industry.safe isolation is paramount.

  • ppe??? i have rubber boots, gloves and a full face visor worn at all times working live never mind the oldest saying in this trade " treat everything as live untill proved and locked out"!!!

  • ppe??? i have rubber boots, gloves and a full face visor worn at all times working live never mind the oldest saying in this trade " treat everything as live untill proved and locked out"!!!

  • Union chit chat clause in action....sheesh

  • assumption is the mother of all fuck ups. In the UK you must do a switching schedule and have it checked by another HV certified engineer to avoid this happening

  • What the hell is this two apprentice to one journeyman bull crap? If that ratio is allowed in your union contract, you need to elect a new business manager.

  • Yep, that would make me change careers.

  • holy shit, did you see his clothes get shreded?

  • rule number one the power is always on

  • back to the future marty lol :D

  • Omg i love how they just walk away xD

  • what ?! They are a live !

  • Lesson 2: I Quit!

  • I licked a 9V battery once...

  • how are they still alive?????!!!!!!

  • @kusucks991 they only use 1 hand when working on electrical equipment...

  • i thought they were toast.

    no pun intended.

  • Where da fuck is the sound????

  • @romafern2010

it's a security cam, they normally don't have sound.

  • People: This wil wo... Holy Shit

  • Damn! They got knocked on their asses. Always respect electricity, it's some powerful shit.

  • Допизделись! Как будто в сторону отойти нельзя было,предварительно оградив ячейку от подобных идиотов!!!

  • @zelen08 word up

  • Guy in my neck of the woods was to work on a lighted interstate sign. Don't know what kind of power is running up there. He was told power was off, it wasn't, blew his freakin arms off. NEVER trust someone else. Check for yourself.

  • They should put some comedic piano music on this video like they did in the silent film days.

  • what if he went into the future.....

  • You know what they say, when you ass-ume, you make an awful smelling char-grilled mess.

  • No PPE. The story here is that 2 of the 3 guys ended up in medically induced comas for over a year in order to recover from their injuries. In one frame you see a guy pull his hard hat off. That big stringy thing that appears in that frame is his scalp, his hard hat wasn't FR rated and it melted to his head.

  • hahahahahahaha Its not supposed to be funny but it is

  • @tonymengela You're an evil prick. How can that possibly be funny? Anyway, funny videos aren't choppy and slow, they're in fast forward with the Benny Hill music in the background.

  • @thepigeonsmustdie Thank you for the compliment,, your such great authority on comedy huh. your probly one of those who masturbate to benny hill as well.

  • My Father a long time lineman was on a crew working on a transformer . When it blew and sprayed flaming oil all over his buddy up in the bucket . He jumped from the bucket on fire to escape the arc and larger fire . His friend never worked again and has some nasty scar's . But he lives to talk about it .

  • Luckely they where wearing safty cloths...

  • See. Never walk into a disintegration chamber.

  • Arc flash awareness has led reputable union shops to start taking more proactive measures against these injuries.

  • I couldn't help but think the guy in charge (no pun intended) was saying: "Come here son and watch the proper way to do it."

    BZZZZZZZZZ

"Now see?! That's what you should NEVER do!!!"

  • wow lucky guys that they are alive the flash had could burn them in pieces

  • NO KOMENT!!!!!

  • ok they knew it was live. its in a food processing plant and they needed to do it live. I am an electrician and we do stuff like this all the time. the guy screwed up and slipped she shorted and blew up. the only thing these guys did wrong was they werents wearing proper arc flash gear which would have saved them from the burns. you cant always shut off what your working on

  • @scizot12 right on

  • thats why most electrical plants and power grid stations have you ware rubber sole boots and specialised grounding suits

  • it's really dangers, in electricity you make mistakes once

  • i think they nearly pissed their pants

  • @Nnovata

I think I would have done

  • @C4285 me too

  • @Nnovata i think they did

  • @Nnovata Nearly? I practically pissed my pants just watching it!

  • @Nnovata

    they pissed their pants!

  • @Nnovata yeah they did it just crystallized b4 it wet their pants xD

  • @Nnovata If they got shocked, which looks like it would have likely happened, they would have shat their pants because voltage tends to clamp peoples bowel muscles so quickly it pushes you know what out.

  • hahaha

  • they`re indeed some lucky guys!

  • What happened to 'lock out tag out' there guys? Sheesh.

  • @spencnaz

Ever herd of hot work?…you can’t always have electrical components “locked out” due to testing and other things that require the components to be energized.

  • @paulthesteelman Ever 'herd' of a spell checker?

  • @spencnaz LOL apparently not…

  • @paulthesteelman thanks for having a sense of humor :-)

  • @paulthesteelman I've seen guys with their meter connected to 480 and then close the unit's door on the leads pinching through the insulation and BOOM!

  • @Nivicoman Oh yeah arc flash is a very real danger the only time I have to mess with hot panels is when we are doing our annual thermography so everything has to be under normal working loads when we take the IR pictures I hate wearing the PPE’s but at the same time welcome them over the alternative. Other than that I love my Lock Out!

  • killer-watts!!

  • bet hes got no eyebrows now

  • There is no way to lockout/tagout before doing any work on these?

  • @johnorlitta They probably needed to check for voltage or phase without shutting down and interrupting service. I do so and hold my breath at anything over 240.

  • @Nivicoman Thanks for the response, after I posted I thought about it and figured that what they were doing was exactly the procedure that you mentioned. There has to be a safer way to do this though, right?

  • Otimo ninguem morreu!

  • What do you expect from the state we lovingly nickname the people "Cheesheads"

Yeah failing to de-energize the panel what a GOMER! not a rocket scientist move there chief!

  • I think phase detector was evaporated....

    :-O

  • @HFsurfer It was probably a 600 volt phase detector on 138 Kv. I heard of a guy using a 120 volt test light on 480-bulb filament collapsed and shorted setting his shirt on fire.

  • Yeah Assumed!!! LOL glad no one got hurt doing that!

  • Is this a current event?

  • @madamerotten

    ....it certainly was SHOCKING

*Tap dances out of the room, shaking his top hat*

  • Tencate TecaSafe Plus dudes!

  • Shocking!

  • Lesson 1: Never assume the panel is de-energized. Your life depends upon it.

  • @chrisose I saw this in my electrical class at school. Remember, assume and you make an ass out of you, and me. Ass(u)(me) Haha.

  • @chrisose Thats the best advice in the world right there the day you assume the power is off could be you last

and it has been the last for a lot of people.

  • @chrisose Capacitors, particularly the bigger ones, can hold an enormous amount of current long after they are disconnected from their power supply. They are a lot like batteries that constantly charge and discharge themselves, saving electrical cauurent for when it's needed.

  • @MIKON8ERISBACK

Capacitors are not typical in sub-station applications and are normally used at the point of use, particularly to buffer motor starts and power supplies.

The incident shown in the video was most definitely NOT a capacitor discharge.

  • @chrisose 99% of all sub stations I go into have cap banks. Capacitors do not "buffer" motor starts, they are used for power factor correction.

  • @chrisose to bad that most times people don't get a chance to learn that lesson.

  • Lol wow ... his pants were on fire o.O

  • We use this in training. Thanks for the upload.

  • i think it was still live.....

  • insane

  • "Assumed" !!

  • @fmdsv Assume-Never make an ASS out of U and ME.
