@karonvick I bought a similar type of peeler and I returned it the same day. You can adjust the depth of the cut by adjusting the razor, loosen the wingnut adjust then tighten. If you don't put the apple perfectly straight, it doesn't core well...it wobbles all over.
So I searched around abit and found a peeler that works really well with no fuss. Its called Starfrit (about $13 on amazon).
I posted a video of how it works.

Mine is eating up the entire apple,,, verses just removing the skin. I cant find any tension on it to adjust the peeler part? HELP lol
