Media does play a large part where as you can tell the difference between an Irish, Scottish, and British accents. Not all of us are ignorant fat lazy rednecks, just about 40% are though *sigh*. @KoolJayJ The thing with that is that we don't have the expirience to tell people apart based on looks. Its not stupidity, just inexpirience. Also Most people don't live on the east coast so we are not that used to immigrants in Ohio. Besides, a lot of immigrants tended to stay together so they could keep practicing their traditions. When my great-grandfather came here from Hungary to avoid getting conscripted again, he settled in a Hungarian neighborhood. Over generations, people mix.

This brings back memories from when I used to play GTA SA all the time :) GTAIV may have its fancy next gen graphics and physics but it can never really beat that great atmosphere that San Andreas had. I also love how Paul and Maccer have proper examples of southern and northern English accents instead of some fake posh "British" accent that most Americans think we ALL sound like. GTA SA FTW! :D
