  • Love my adopted home beyond words... My heart goes out to those missing it today.

  • 6 years and counting...God Bless, Y'all.

  • Just beautiful

  • It is because of Katrina and the devastation that the entire nation witnessed, that the Eastern seaboard was saved. When the mentioned the "army corps of engineers", here most people thought and spoke about the devatation they wrecked in New Orleans. Thank you so much for outing "the amy corps of engineers" for what they really are, which is useless.

  • Thank you for remembering and honoring the people of New Orleans. I am a NOLA native , many of my friends and family members lost homes. I am still contacting Congress to BUILD A STATE OF THE ART WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR NEW ORLEANS AND THE GULF COAST. The Netherlands did that over 50 years ago, the USA is failing its people. ReBuild this Failing Infrastructure, especially in New Orleans where it was never correctly built for safety and stability and PROTECTION for citizens.

    Thank you.

  • It is a true crime that the Corps does not have to pay the victims for their blatant corruption. My parents in their 80's at time of Katrina lost their home of 54 yrs in Gentilly. Had to move to Jeff Parish to have hospitals, grocery stores, restaurants, fire, police, churches etc.Their home went to Rd Home and is still boarded up. It accelerated dementia and severe depression for one of my parents.I pray when the criminals from the Corp meet their maker they have to pay for their crimes.

  • thank you all for what you do people. nobody can beat you. i'm a european but i feel as part of you. please go on.

  • Six years ago this evening the clouds were gathering and the monster was preparing to lunge out of the dark and rip a hole in our hearts. There's an old joke among journalists, to the effect of "don't tell Momma I'm a reporter, it'd break her heart; she thinks I'm a piano player in a whore house." Think that's what I'd tell Momma if I worked for the Corps of Engineers.

  • Quite sad! Unbelievable!

I carry NOLA in my heart -

    Beautiful music! Lets cherish

our Home, people and work together!

Now we must think and pray for the New England States!

  • If not for the lack of government care we would not to have this plaque to memorialize this disaster. What a shame!!!
