But whilst we can admire Stockhausen and Jarre fo their importance in promoting electronic textures, their influence on dance music is somewhat tenous compared to the ubiquitous 4/4 kick of Disco, or the syncopated breaks of James Brown.

Kraftwerk (and Moroder for that matter) realised this more than their average fans care to realise. They had the funk as well as the technology.

THAT is what' modern DJ orientated dance music' is all about.

But a studio recording is polished up and liewise the video is too (meaning, they seek perfection with retake after retake so they use poepl who most appeal poeple to the masses). I don't agree with it but I reckon that's the reason behind it. It's almost like photoshopping cover models to achieve the "impossible beauty" look.
