Hey scripps88 Fuck you, you have no clue what your talking about. All AR15/10 rifles are expensive. Having the best in the business including having had the original designer in your company means your product has brand appeal and top notch quality. Therefore priced high. And retards like you don't have a clue to properly employ such a weapon in the first place. Or here's an idea, perhaps you should have skimped on the PS3 Couch and TV set so you could afford an AR. To the poster below me: The SR25 IS NOT an AR15, therefore it cant be compared to an "LMT AR15". When it comes to .308 semi autos in the AR platform theres just no question about going with a KAC. Many companies tried to put together a 308 AR but KAC did so while maintaining it reliable and lightweight. I will one day own an SR25, as of now my SR15 keeps me smilling every time I fire it.

@sr15dude I'd really like a KAC SR-25 EMC, but they are overpriced. There is no doubt about that. LMT's 308MWS is good enough for the Royal Army, it's good enough for a civilian. It costs right about $1,700 less than the KAC. Then there is also the LWRC REPR for $3,400 with a 16" barrel. LWRC's stuff is every bit as well made as KAC, every bit. Then there is a little rifle called the SCAR-17S for $3.3K What further baffles me is why the SR-25 Carbine is $500 more than the SR-25 Rifle.

@AusJackal How the hell would you know living in Australia? As far as direct gas impingement AR-type rifles go, Knight's Armament is the best. LMT and Noveske are two and three depending on how you want to rank them, no doubt as to who is number one. The only thing that KAC needs to do is an SR-15 E3 chambered in 6.8 SPC. There are two names you should look at when buying a high-end AR, KAC (DGI) and LWRC (piston/op-rod). That's the end of the story.

@ethosflux actually piston in a AR platform wasnt a very good idea since with a bolt design like the one on an AR you get bolt tilt which grinds your lower receiver. I remember reading Kev's post about it being a big fail and that most piston AR arent really good except the 416.

I know Kevin from my days in army service and believe me he knows the in's and out's of the products he's marketing.Putting a camera in his face isn't his style. I've seen him on an episode of "Top Tens" on the Military Channel with regards to a sniper rifle produed by Knight's Armaments and he was very clear and concise in that segment.Talk to him one on one and and you will see what I mean.Like "5speediroc" said a few posts ago this guy has "been there and done that",he knows his product.

Kac is the best of the best in my book i ordered the old pn 20208 rail and its great, id like to buy more kac stuff truly pro grade quality durability.

its not cheap though.

How about a DMR role... Shorter barrel (a 16" is still decent for most modern engagement ranges)

and a collapsing stock is good for mobility in urban environments.
