  • You forgot to wash your hands at the beginning :-/

  • @stevedizzle84 As you see, I omit washing hands before the procedure due to the limited time of performance. But it does not mean that you should not do it. You know that you should wash your hand before, in-between and after each procedure of each patient. You also need to wash your hands with form soap in-between of your task even without patient contact. Great! you are watching and getting it.

  • This video is oh so wrong. She made so many mistakes! If you are a student preparing for your skills test.. DO NOT copy thi video. You would be better off winging it by just reading your candidate handbook steps and practicing on a family member or friend

  • @Chrisneson Gee miss "know it all." If you think you're so fucking perfect with the bedpan skill, then go ahead and make your own video and upload it onto youtube. Stupid losers like yourself only live to criticize others, but can't do jack shit to make your own "good" video.

  • She adjust the bed with gloves on after she touches the bed pan.

  • I think this video was clear, I am preparing my CNA test ,I thing if I get this skill I will try to do it like you did

  • I dont like this video she is doing everything wrong first you do not put anything on the residents personal bedside table and after it is used as well and she didnt wash her hands before she put on the gloves. you are suspose to wash your hands before and after.

  • @crystalp2425 not everything just a few things. But it means you are paying attention. With so many wrongs in each video I wonder if its on purpose to help students pay attenntion so the professor is like "tell me what didnt she do right?"

  • mr smith looks like the montrose lvn guy with an attitude problem

  • I am so glad that you are showing the proper placement of the bed pan, though we assume we don't over expose the patient. Because in another video I watched, they were covered up and I could not see which way she was placing the bed pan.

  • @Lx3ForHim She's lifting up the top sheet and exposing the resident's rear-end because she's teaching a group of students how to place the bedpan under the resident's butt. But if it's a real work situation, then yes, you don't want to over expose the resident's butt.

  • @TwistyTies90 ...Great point. We need to adapt the real situation when care the real patient in different settings.

  • for the exam are they picky about whether you remove your gloves before giving the resident their tissue, wipe and call light or is it fine to remove your gloves after?

  • @ob2be maybe it depends on the state, but n my handbook you must remove your gloves after giving the bedpan, because you'll be touching the call light and other things. then you put a clean pair on when removing the bed pan.

  • I was about to ask about the urinal for the man when she explained the we are assuming, in the skills test that the pt is a female. :) This is very helpful to me, I am about to recert in two weeks, and have not actually been working as a CNA for many years. Very nervous about taking the skills part of the exam.

  • came into the room touching things and not washing your hands, or even mentioning "this is where you would wash your hands", until you were leaving. you came from maybe another room? or anywhere else. so contaminating or bringing other infections or bacteria into this room. when removing your gloves, you grabbed top edge of the glove instead of sliding your other fingers inside to get it off. didnt turn faucet off with a paper towel. Or maybe that is just washington state that we do all of this?

  • @PMSxPRiNGLeZ Well, im sure that it is common sense that we would wash our hands before giving the pt the bed pan or urinal.

  • @PMSxPRiNGLeZ Its always the ppl with no video uploads with snide comments. if you dont like it, make your own skill videos and be a hero to all the potential CNA's out there.

  • @darkstar1485 those are trolls but then thete are CNA students like myself who were taught a certain way and have no way of doing our own video so constructively (or in some cases bluntly) we try to correct her. The vids are helpful they just forget procedures that are expected on the test

  • The bedside table can be cleaned at any time. You can cover it with a towel to place any equipments before the procedure. If you want to put things on the floor and step on it, you will soon regret why...

  • If you place a towel on the table for a empty and rinsed bedpan while you are positioning the patient, you are not contaminating the patient's belongings. If you place the bedpan on the floor, you are more chance to kick it and more chance to hurt your back if you do not practice the good body mechanic. After the procedure, dirty bedpan can be removed and again you can still place it shortly after you put the towel to cover the bedside table.

  • @EKlearningcenter You should never place a bed pan on the bed table. This is where the patient puts personal belongings, food and drinks on. There is always a chance that urine and feces can get on the outside of the pan. I have seen a few of this persons videos and either she is a new cna student or she was never trained properly.

  • @hawaii5093 For the bedside setting as you see, the side table is the best place to place the bedpan after you place the towel on it. You do not want to place the bedpan on the floor because it will be highly kicked by you, and you would understand what I meant. All your equipments even if they are dirty and soiled are placed within your eye-site while you are attended to your patient.

  • @EKlearningcenter One more thing, the bedside table can be cleaned with hospital wipes at any time. You can clean it after you use the bedside table, so don't be afraid to use it. Make sure patient's foods or belongs are removed while you use the bedside table.

  • where should it go if its not suppose to be on the table???

  • The bedpan should not be on the patient's overbed table.

  • thank you for make thevide it will help me on my gna basic skill test
