@SauceGucci is there a noticeable difference in performance? what transmission do u have? i was thinking about putting one in my 2.5 6mt coupe. cheers
@liej010 I have a 6 speed "tiptronic" for lack of a better term. It's an automatic with a linear shifting mode. I noticed a sizeable difference in responsivness and a larger gain in the power band with both the intake and exhaust (I got a magnaflow and ran one pipe for nicer back pressure as compared to the fake dual that comes stock on the 2.5). It's no F1 drag car rocketship, but it's quicker and I love the car.
lol you are both wrong!! The new 2.5's that are in the altima coupe and sedan as well as the Senter Ser and Ser spec-v is now 200hp. Not to mention most new Nissan's have CVT'S.
I don't race... but it's funny that I GO the speed limit (50-60) and I have acuras and hondas try to keep up. You can hear their engines roaring too. Poor kids.. I'd feel worse if I had gotten the 3.5. Then they'd never have a chance to see my car =[.
Nah but in all seriousness. The 2.5 4cyl is a beast. 4cyl cars aren't like what they used to be!
honda engines are high dead horsepower because they lack TQ ... wtf u gunna do with 200 hp and 120tq... doesnt make sense to me... 175 hp to 150tq(somewhere around there) is a little better
im saying if you put exhaust and intake it will produce more than acuras 205hp and yes offcourse torque of altima is better cause it can accelerate faster......acuras engine is for top speed....yah i own a 2008 2.5sl and love the leather and the bose system and oh and the navigation
i actually raced a type s in my 06 2.5 altima w/ nismo intake and magnaflow exhaust. from a dig it was tied but then he pulled 2 car lengths on me. rsx had an intake and exhaust as well
lol not possible i raced my brothers acura rsx-s over 20 times, we even switched cars one time, altima still beats the rsx...be realistic man unless the driver sucked or wasnt racing, theres no physical way it can beat the 3.5 unless heavily modded
I daily drive a 2.5 coupe with a stillen intake and with luck a stillen or magnaflow catback soon. This video made me happy. :D
