  • Gonzaga rugby

  • There b side sang the entire match last year

  • The song they are singing is the Non Nobis Domine.

Translation: Not to us, O Lord, but to you be praise given. (rough translation)

  • For those who can't follow what's going on:

The boys are singing in Latin, some sort of chant which I can't translate. Then they are praying the Ave Maria (i.e., the 'Hail Mary' prayer in Latin). Then:

"St Gregory the Great" - "Pray for us!"

"St Sebastian" - "Pray for us!"

(I think, not too sure here) "St Joseph" - "Pray for us!"

"Our Lady Queen of Victory!" - "Pray for us!"

  • Do these kids all go to small private catholic colleges or do any of them pursue competitive collegiate rugby? St. Greg's has some pretty good players

  • @CollegeRugbyUSA they all go to a small boarding high school these boys here have all graduated i believe and gone on to college and what not. i went there myself. and many of the students continue to play on college teams and club teams after they leave.
