  • The brush knee push is supposed to push up. Also, remember to keep your arms bent slightly (Especially at Repulse Monkey).

  • Rigid, not fully developed, lack of mildness and roundness. NO GRACE. I'm sorry, Tai-Ji is not for every White men, you should learn ur own kind : BOXING.

  • your gona get some flaming posting yourself doing tai chi - i have seen this done way better - however i did this form ages ago and have forgoten it but watching your set has jogged my memory as the movements are clear

    thankyou have booked marked

  • Esse é o estilode luta dos dobradores de água do Anime Avatar

  • Nice Job. Most TaiChi books I read say it takes many, many years to perfect. I am also learning TaiChi, even the old masters will say they are still learning. I really like your training hall.

  • Good effort. Do you study a hard style martial art? It looks as though you have the moves down. I would suggest that you begin to "feel" the movement of the form, secondly make a conscious effort to soften all your movements. Once you have done this everything will begin to "flow" for you and your movement will become more fluid. keep up the practicing.

  • Thank you for comment and suggestion. Yes I was studying Sankukai karate when I was started with martial arts and I can say that I was learning mostly hard styles and kobudo weapons. Now I am very interesting in soft style and tai chi chuan.

    regards

  • you need some more lessons!

  • Not even close. Arms keep moving long after the legs finish. Read the classics and take it back to the drawing board. Best bet is to take a year or more off, allow your body to forget all this inauthentic movement, and then find a China-trained teacher to help you start over.

  • What's that? You're an asshole?

  • @YangTaiChiChuan1 there's a lot of bad Tai Chi going around China and a lot of good Tai Chi in other countries around the world. What you're saying is lame. If you want to help someone out you should not ridicule what you feel they're doing wrong.

  • ey good^^

  • I'm very impressed with the choice of your music. It is so appropriate for this form and movement.

Good work and talent, my friend.

  • Good but you appear to be too stiff, especially your back. You need to become softer and focus more on internal structure and on developing chi. Focussing on the breath helps.

  • slavkomajkic your stance is weak. You should practice basic stance everyday. It help =) and i hope on your next vid u would be better

  • thanks for comment and your advise,I will do that and I hope my next videos will be better and better of course also I gona be better

  • The only thing wrong with your stance is that you double weight yourself, Ref: 1:39

Imagine one of those Perpetual-Motion-Wave Desk Toys. Make your weigt behave like that. Also less, "holding the ball", you're not actually holding a ball... you're pushing and scooping. Another point, when you adjust your foot 1:25 toes in, not heal out. You loose a half a foot. Try on a wall, you'll see quickly what I mean. Taiji is very difficult to learn, so don't give up. :-) Do you still practice this form?

  • What do you mean : a weak stance ?

  • I think evrbody means that beacuse I dont have extremly bent my knees, I dont know...I have problem with my right stances and movement beacuse I have ingured anckle on my left leg , and when is the hard presure on... its hurts a little

    thanks form commnet

  • Hi,

I don´t think, that it is the knee problem. By the way, please do never bent the knees "extremly".

    It´s "extremly" bad for them.

When you are doing the form you very often lean backwards. My tiny advice would be, that you should do an exercise like "Standing position" (zhan zhuang) to build a "root" for a stable stance and for relaxing the hip and pelvis. Than better you can relanx that parts than better will your stance be.

    Happy practicing!!! :-)

    Greetings from Germany

  • ok, im kinda confused. I just started Yang style tai chi and the DVD i have says tai chi is to be performed slow with your knees always bent. So can you you do it at you own rate or how does that work?

  • Is taichi ur learning for self defense or health? It's true when u perform u suppose to keep ur knee bent but its not to keep you at your own rate.

  • Hi there,

There should be no difference in the knee positions in self defence or health.

IMHO the knees always should be bent. Even if your stance is very high. If your knees are straighten, you will have problems to relax, to sink and to build a "structure" or connection between all parts of your body .....yes, in self defence too.

  • @MetalPanda777,

Taichi exercise (forget the martial art P.O.V.) should be performed with bend knee at all times, except when you do the right/left heel kick. The rest of the movements going back to bend knees again. Do not EVER perform LOW FRAME taichi exercise. You will ruin your knees later in life. If you havent acquired strength in your knees, bend slightly first, but must maintain it at all times. Bend your knees while brushing teeth, washing face, washing dishes as you practice.Good luck.

  • look at fu sheng yuan's videos (forma 85 parte 1de 2). Although it's a different style, the movements are clearly seen.

  • Thanks for advise, I will do that

  • given this is self-taught I find it laudable, you have excellent potential, need to go find a master for essential corrections, and bring back Tai Chi to your own town.

  • thank you very much sir, I know that and I am trying beacuse tai chi is my pasion. I hope soon in the future we will have master

    best regards

  • I agreed with DanShteFan your tai chi show many weakness especially your stance

  • Es la manera más extraña que he visto de la forma 24, tu video confunde a los principiantes. Debes equilibrar tus extremidades superiores e inferiores

  • Muchas grazias for comment. Guys be awere that I am learnig tai chi by myself without master, only a few seminars beacuse in Slovenia we dont have realy masters. I know only one true master and that is Tone Ancnik from Ljubljana. I am learnig by instructional videos and books and I am doing my best.

    Best regards to all

    kar tko naprej

  • hvala

  • pulu si bagumba. that's the facts Jack

  • Can you tell me the name of this song please? thanx

  • Oliver Shanti and friends, album Tai chi too, song Sacral Nirvana (radio edition)

  • Thank you for the quick reply;) Respect;)

  • No problem, you are wellcome

  • He did a good job as a beginner. More exercise will become better.
