  • Who did this is a genius! FinalCutUnproX resembles those who have devised it.

  • lol many feel your pain Hitler.

  • Was this video made in Final Cut Pro X?

  • @migueltb how do they work?

  • i don't care what they mean but like it lol x 10

  • never gets old...

  • This reminds of the New Coke debacle back in the 80s, I wonder if there'll be a Classic FCP on the horizon . . . ?

  • this is hillarious man

  • Lightworks

  • I was expecting to hear gun shots at the end of the video.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • ey,

My name is Victor and I host a Youtube Channel

    Who does VFX,

Our films are all under 2 minutes

So if you just have a few minutes to check out our videos.

And comment giving some feedback would be great

    VR

  • There are parts of FCX that I love, and then parts that make me want to beat my head off a wall until the concussion causes me to go into a coma and die.

  • Wouldn't the simple solution be to NOT upgrade to Pro X and remain on earlier versions?

  • it doesn't like .avi files!

  • @abrindley123 if you like .avi containers you might as well use .gif for high resolution still photography.

.avi is the aids of multimedia

  • Never thought I'd say this but... I support Hitler.

  • wtf

  • ich kann mich gar nicht wiurklich auf denn text konzentrieren wenn addi da die ganze zeit rumschreit ^^

  • @LostJomper yeah, its probably not as funny if you understand German.. a non-German speaker cannot understand the word and therefore links the text with the emotions much better!! I thought this was hilarious!:)

  • just find a pirate version of the previous Final cut pro and keep using it till the end of time.:)

I use skype screen share to co-edit with my daughter - didn't know about iChat video. Both cool - except I don't have an apple and she does :)

  • It may haver rendered the tools of your profession unusable. But at least they're rendered in the background.

Lucky they didn't tell Adolf about the multi clip function disappearing, he might really have lost it......

  • Love FCP 7, but the new version has forced me to learn Avid, to be honest I findd I can cut stuff alot quicker in Avid

  • @OceanwhispererStudio I'm considering learning Avid also simply because knowing both (7, not X) can generate more work. I see that more TV work is done using Avid, which means higher profile credits for the editor.

  • Amen

  • Sucks that I am german and understand what the really say D:

  • My favorite video of all time! Had me crying in tears of laughter

  • so..... He didn't like it?

  • fucking hitler.

  • 2:54 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • this is so funny as i am austrian and understand what he really says XDDD

  • I love how the video suggests that winning an Oscar and working with David Fincher is the same level of achievement. Which it totally is.

  • seems like Hitler took it pretty easy.. compared to my own reaction ;)

  • @taroClips Excellent comment!

  • Great content, and also a really nice job creating clearly visible subtitles - I wish all the other parodies were this polished.

  • This is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Just brilliant! Bravo! What an excellent subtitle version of this scene! The best by far!

  • I gave up on it - back on Premiere Pro!

  • They have really screwed up because a beginner can't use it, and pros won't! This clip is ver funny.

  • that is so wrong there talking about moving north wth hve they got so many of these on youtube

  • Yaa! Und Fuhrer filter functions!

  • Lmao! XD

  • Everyone needs to stop complaining about FCP X and move on...

to Lightworks. Google Lightworksbeta. It's FREE, OPEN SOURCE professional video editing software. It's been around for 20 years. Moulin Rouge, The Kings Speech and Hanna were all cut on it. There is a $60/year subscription for the pro features.

Mac & Linux versions are released December 11, Windows version is out now in Beta and official release is late November. It fully supports R3D, ProRes and Avid DNxHD media...

    MOVE ON!

  • OMG! I'm german and i understand that but the the movie is not about Final Cut Pro X, it is about the second world war.!!!

  • This is some premo work! Nice.

  • There are no lock buttons for the sequences in final cut pro x. This feature is great in the previous Final Cut Pro versions.

  • @honey4xi No lock feature?? Seriously??

  • fucking magnets....

  • Did Steve Jobs retire because he saw this coming?

  • I love you. This is brilliant...so funny, for FCP geeks everywhere.

FCP 7 STILL RULES...why can't we have a version with the background rendering tool? That's all we wante...maybe a bit of help with color too :(

  • "It's ok anna we can still go back to avid LOL"

  • You are genius!!! BTW now I understand why Hitler killed himself

  • Bravo sir....bravo!!

  • Comment removed

  • Dbeldctube, did you just call it an app......a pro editing software SHOULD NEVER BE AN APP!!!!!

  • Well done, this is interesting &funny enough to watch all the way through

  • I love the ending! XD

  • fucking magnets

  • Excellent and hilarious video. And the metaphor works, because just like in real life, Hitler's beliefs will prove to be wrong in the end.

Truth is, FCP X really is an improved product. Missing a few features, yes, but it has many more powerful features to make up for it. Take some time to work with it, you'll find that it really is a pro-level app, you just gotta get used to doing some things differently.

Even so, I couldn't stop laughing at this video. Awesome writing.

  • It's ok Anna, we can always go back to Avid. :)

  • Really funny...but the truth = You and everyone else convinced me not to buy this new program.

  • XD JAJAJAJAAJAJA!!!!! yo uso el final cut pro X y me parece muy bien solo hay que saber utilizarlo y acostumbrarse

  • These things never get old....but they make me agree with Hitler, all of the time. FCP X is appalling, and Hitler is 100% correct (in this video, he was totally wrong about the jews and that)

  • Apple loves to kill pro products. It doesn't make any sense. They should sell the source code to FCP to a deserving company.

  • hahaha.. wie lustig...

  • It pains me that this has happened, and I don't even use Apple products.

  • This is so amazing

  • OK. are all of these dumb hitler movies the same video but with different subtitles!?! that is fuckin retarded...

  • As an Adobe Premiere Pro editor, I actually find this to be no surprise. Apple has ALWAYS had their eyes set on the consumer and it has been like that from day one when they planted all those little computers in the Kindergarten classes many years ago. They are now creating a million untalented video editors who have pretty much taken down the entire video industry with their lame imovie videos.

  • @POINTEBLANC91

What do you mean the entire industry? Anyone who edits with iMovie can only go as far as Youtube so its not like their impacting on the film industry right. Besides, isn't it good that a prosumer level editing software is there as to nurture talent. Cause you can't go far without talent anyway right?

  • @POINTEBLANC91 You couldn't of said it better. Apple has turned consumerism into a religion and this is the perfect time for Avid to go in for the kill.

  • @POINTEBLANC91 couldn't said it better than this...AVID and AE FOREVER!

  • I plugged "POINTEBLANC91" into Google translate and the result was "elitist douche-bag."

  • @POINTEBLANC91 that's good business. Taken down the industry, my arse and by the way

Coming in early 2012 Multicam Editing Broadcast-Quality Video Monitoring according to apple fcp x site

  • @alanbstard4 Good luck with that!

  • @POINTEBLANC91 nothing to do with luck. I have abobe master suite, but I know fcp X will surprise the " professionals " who are so stupid as to pre judge something

  • @alanbstard4 "Coming in early 2012 Multicam Editing Broadcast-Quality Video Monitoring according to apple fcp x site"

Hm, I'll believe it when I see it. As of late, Apple's "promises" have fallen rather short of glory, so forgive me, and everyone else, if we don't QUITE believe that Apple can pull it off anymore.

  • @AndrewDeLong it will come. It will be first rate. Adobe will do for now, but FCP X will be excellent

  • @POINTEBLANC91 Probobally the most true thing i've heard today.

  • Ok Anna we can still go to Avid haha good one

  • I just read the Walter Biscardi review and well, holy shit, is all I can say. I'm searching the depths of my brain to find a reason for such a colossal Fup. The only reason I can fathom is that their professional FCP customer base is no longer a profitable division, and they are trying to entice all the wannabe film makers into paying more for and believing they are using a professional platform.

  • Simply Brilliant. Sequel?

  • well done man,, well done,,,

  • what software did you use to edit this video? :P

  • @droolies FCP7 and iChat theater preview. My brother and I used iChat to collaborate on the script writing in real-time between SF and LA. It's another fantastic feature missing in X.

  • @dhlawrence I didn't even know this feature existed! And they took it out of X?

  • @MrEddieBTV It's a fantastic feature. You stream the output of your timeline straight to iChat video. You can talk and collaborate just like being in the same room together. I use it with my LA-based partners all the time and when I use it with clients, they think I'm a rockstar because they can watch me make changes and immediately see the results from their offices. It's awesome and in FCPX it's gone.

  • This piece is brilliant not only as humor, but as a review of the product itself. It gets to the kernel of the problem like no other review has so far. The screaming is also appropiate: this is tragic for professional production houses. We can only hope Apple releases Final Cut Pro 8.0 and renames the infamous "X" as iMovie Pro 1.0

  • what the fuck they were thinking when they made final cut pro just another app

fuck you fuck you why why im moving to adoepremier or sony vegas fuck u final cut app

  • HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THIS VIDEO?!

I love the Fincher reference! Greatly made, man :)

I'm going to make my own one's haha

  • What movie is this from? I'm now curious why he was yelling at the four officers?

  • @zeroflux It is from Der Undergang , 2006.I could send you a youtube link with the original translation of this part

    if you'd like

  • Why don't Apple teams call it iMovie Pro instead of Final Cut Pro X? And Apple should make an update Final Cut Pro 8 with the same Final Cut Pro interfaces so that many Final Cut Pro editors don' t have to spend time, money, and efforts to learn the new software (Final Cut Pro X) which they don't like. This "Final Cut Pro X" causes so many confusions to many Final Cut Pro editors.

  • @honey4xi

I'm a Final Cut Studio Master Pro and just by looking at the new FCPX, I feel as if Apple FUCKED all these years of studying Final Cut Studio and Final Cut Pro. You are right about many things. It will take time and allot of effort to learn in depth a whole different "app" that isn't as close as powerful as Final Cut Pro 7 or Avid. Many people complain and say they are switching to Avid or Premier Pro but in my personal preference, I'm staying with FCP7. It still gets the job done.

  • Comment removed

  • just the way it's put. FCP sounds like shit now... I was looking to switch from Adobe Premiere Pro but maybe... maybe I should stick to it

  • Time to move back to CS5.5 chaps...

  • I was laughing my head off until they used final solution ( the term used by the Nazis

to kill all the jews) in the video. I may be more sensitive than most because my

parents were in the camps and they lost most of their family there as well. Otherwise

these parodies are really well done,,,just one poor choice of words. By the way after

playing around with the program for a few days I have to say it does not suck.

  • Hey did you edit that with Final Cut Pro X? ha-ha

  • @VideosCGPOST if he did it probably wouldnt be as long as it was

  • That shit was hilarious.

  • you forgot only coming to app store and not disk.

  • The "AndiePandaVideo" /watch?v=ZVV9wEQZmGE&feature=player_embedded is funny and good too. That one was posted May 11. I wonder if this was inspired by that one.

  • 3:07 Hitler is now deeply depressed.

  • 02:10 for the win!

  • this is gay

  • THIS IS THE BEST HITLER FCP

  • Less than 1700 units sold as of today.

    FCPX is officially a bomb.

  • OH THANKS APPLE - WELCOME TO 2006

  • Hilarious, and so true, it's crap, Apple haven't so much shot themselves in teh foot as dropped a thermonuclear device on it and totaled their reputation and client base - clever!

  • I fell off my bed laughing xD

  • ‎"Does Walter Murch use that fucking piece of shit?"

  • as a Jew, i completely sympathetic with Hitler. apple has created alliances unseen before.

  • @neocon70 Best comment ever hahaha

  • Just found out that AVID is offering a huge discount to former Final Cut users through Sept 2011. I'm porting over to that system by the end of the month. After 10 years of using Apple FCP - Apple has abandoned those who supported them when no one else would.

  • So, Premiere and the Adobe Alliance wins another battle with a preemptive attack...

  • FUCKING MAGNETS... Final Cut X is not so bad, but it's not so good after years using Final Cut pro... Fuck apple...

  • 3:06: "All I wanted was just the final solution they promised years ago." -- that doesn't even make sense in the context of this parody (at least not to me), it does, however, in the context of Hitler's real-world mindset. Weird and creepy moment, otherwise good, funny vid.

  • I sold my boxed Final Cut Studio a couple of months ago and started using Premiere Pro. I've had a play with FCPX and to be honest, it's just iMovie - a pretty good version of iMovie too but you can see the way Apple are going with this. Prosumer is where the money is I suppose and I'll have a play some more - maybe it will grow on me!

  • Premiere Pro FTW.

(If it wasn't superior before, at least it's more compatible with Final Cut Pro 7 than Final Cut Pro X is!)

  • 2 words: Adobe Premiere. After moving completely to the Apple platform, this is how us converts are treated. 2 more words: F*CK APPLE.

  • @BruceTube65 Did you just compare Final Cut Pro to a fucking antenna? GTFO.

  • At 0:20 I face-palmed and knew where this was heading

Anyway, apple did this because the CONSUMER market is much larger than the PRO market! And come on, guys. It's still version 1.1! Apple has acknowledged the problems and they will add everything like old final cut project compatibility and multicam!

I predict the same will happen with Lion. People will freak out but later not care.

And, remember what happened with the iphone 4's antenna? Ever hear people complaining about that anymore?

  • @Onewa80 You're obviously not a "Pro" This is a total back stab to all the professionals out there who supported and made FCP the amazing software it was!

  • @lmucinema

Don't take it so hard. People aren't putting a gun to your head forcing you to upgrade. Oh nooo, Apple made a video editing system that WAS MADE FOR NORMAL PEOPLE! *gasp*. I don't care because this is a perfect win for a 15 year old wanting to step up. Not TOO complicated, and I can always upgrade/downgrade to FCP 7 later. Sheesh, I'm so horrible because I'm part of the group apple was targeting: Nnwbies in the Film world wanting to step it up.

  • @Onewa80

Uh, being I and 1000's of other professionals have spent 1000s if not millions on FCP,

justifies taking this "so hard." Being a high school video instructor as well, I'm

also well aware of how this is not a "perfect win for a 15 year old wanting to step up." My students use FCP Express which is way more complicated than FCP X and they're cutting with ease after just one project.

So long story short, you don't know what you're talking about. But don't take it so hard ;)

  • @Onewa80 FCP X is the world's biggest drumkit falling down an infinite flight of stairs

  • @Onewa80 I agree, but I think Apple release FCPX six months early. Also, I think a lot people don't like change.

  • Great video. It is sad but true, Apple's market is consumers, that is where their future lies. I am a developer and have been using OS X 10.7 Lion for a few months now. It is going in the same direction, simpler, less control, 10.8 will get rid of the Finder totally. FCP X is not a surprise, but sad. Apple want to make money, not great software. Fine. For the moment FCP 7 is pretty solid, take this time to investigate ADOBE & Windows.

  • The tutorials are talking about rethinking your personal workflow. However, what Apple also apparently paid no attention to at all was the standard workflow of the overall studios. They *aren't* going to change for one piece of software. Adobe Premiere 6.0, anyone? Time to make a change..... (no tracks? iMovie? Are you KIDDING? We're not in kindergarten here.)

  • I'd have chosen a different sample of apoplexy. Are folks really that worked up over Final Cut Pro? Has it truly been dumbed down? I think I will watch this again, with the sound turned down. As for iMovie: arf-arf. With such hardware muscle, there seems no plausible excuse for poor functionality or user interface.

  • The guy that wrote the last version of iMovie DID write FCP X. But he also wrote all the previous versions of FCP. So, go figure...

  • Fucking magnets

  • GREAT LINES !! Walter Murch line priceless. I was brought to FCP kicking and screaming as an Avid editor. I do like FCP 7 although it has its peculiar limitations. Had high hopes for FCP "8". The look on an editor I know to be a FCP evangelist when he told me of his disappointment in all of Apple. that was shocking.

    Steve Jobs = Lonesome Roads

Strange that I bought a boxed Avid 4.5 last summer. Must have had some psychic notion going on there. Will have new 8 core PC later this summer.

  • The Walter Murch line slaughtered me!

  • OMG I love this! It's like the words came out of my mouth! Have been trying to use this piece of crap now for a week and it has me as sick as iMovie did after v.6. I agree, it looks like the same clown that screwed up iMovie wrecked FCP as well.

  • Love it :}

  • funny/sad! a great job.

and to the folks who think slackalicefilms invented hitler reacts, I refer you to know your meme, by googling "hitler reacts"

  • brilliant script! tears of laughter. Pity it's all true though...

  • Haven't laughed so much in long time... really funny funny made... and the worst and best thing of the script, and about all this, is that it is true... sadly.... excellent job..!!!

  • This is too funny... I think I pee'd my pants a little.

  • I enjoyed this video - thought the writing was great, but not giving credit to the guys who came up with the idea originally is pretty crappy. It's pretty obvious that slackalicefilms uploaded their video of this exact same footage regarding the exact same software product with different subtitles over a month ago, and thus deserve some credit for the concept.

  • I hate to see Hitler making so much sense.

  • He should have seen it coming . . . Didn't he have the battles with Mobile Me and the data that would never sync? Hadn't he watched non-Intel machines get abandoned while "upgrades" of software made older computers obsolete? Imaginary improvements wreaking havoc with Contacts and iCal that even the "genius bar backs" could not solve? He should have known that the Apple of his eye would become the mote.

  • Brilliant! Great writing & timing with the movie. Very funny & expresses the sentiments I've been reading about. I heard about Adobe's 50% Switch offering for Premiere- cant believe I'm even considering the app that got me started in non linear editing way back last century!

  • Script & timing is puurfect and sadly NOT non-fiction! Amazing & Amusing!

  • The attention to script detail in this one is about as good as it gets. Bravo!

  • Hitler should move to novacut

  • Spot on! Nice work.

  • It's OK, Anna, we can still go back to Avid!

  • I'm so happy to be using 64 bit Adobe Premiere with the Mercury Engine. Plus, you can't beat how it ties in with After Effects and Audition.

  • My company is an Apple Pro Video reseller, and we have about 5, new, sealed boxes of FCP7 (the whole Studio box) for sale. If interested, shoot me a note at

    tim (at) appogee (dot) com

  • I actually agree with hitler on this one

  • Comment removed

  • @trackmatte - reading your comment is clear enough that you don't know what editing means.

  • ha ha ha.

  • Never thought I'd say this but, I'm with Hitler on this one.

  • Hey dhlawrence,

    Good job mate! I laughed

I was actually thinking to myself a few days ago that Final Cut Pro 7 is one of few things left from Apple that doesn't make me feel stupid.. It gives you all the tools you need to get what you want done, while still being relatively simple. It's one of the primary reasons I got a stupid Mac apart from stability.

I don't mind too much tho as I'm monitoring the market to see where it takes me, and if Avid is what I need, so be it.

  • fantastic job. you captured the pain of professional FCP editors and skewered the traitorous, malicious douchebags at Apple who released this stillbirth of a program

  • We went FCP at our shop a few years ago, we were using a terrible pro-software based Velocity editing software developed by Leitch/Harris. It was a nightmare. FCP has been a dream come true and I will be damned if I authorize upgrades to this software after reading all I've read. This was a great piece of creative work, good stuff.

  • Too long. Maybe if you learned how to edit in FCPX you could have cut it down to something watchable.

  • @trackmatte

    Booo,,

in case your not aware, most if not all the "Hitler Reaction" videos are pretty much the same length,, if dhlawrence wanted it to be shorter I'm sure he could easily have managed that in FCP 7 or any other normal editor...

    What happened to creativity?

I personally don't think software should have any role in decision making.

  • A seriously good point about the pro thing. Today all products are labeled with "Pro" that it's totally lost it's meaning. professional tools are not supposed to be for the average consumer and it's completely screwing over the real professionals when their tools are being dumbed down so those average consumers will use them. Why Apple, WHY?

  • Seems Apple has gone out of the video editing business. Hmm....I think I'll go look at some Avid stocks...

  • was a matter of time
