  • I dont blame them i would freak out too

  • woowwwwwooowwwwww

  • My name is Dana Rudelier from DDB Canada, and I am working on behalf of our client the Canada Tourism Commission.

We are interested in your footage "Killer Whale Scared Sea Kayakers" on your YouTube channel and possibly editing a clip for possible use in an advertising campaign to promote Canada as a tourist destination. If you are interested, please respond via private message. Thank you in advance, and looking forward to hearing from you.

  • I'll remember to bring a change of underwear next time I go kayaking!

  • I would give my first born child to be in their place

  • Dun dun.....dun dun dun dun........dun dun dun, DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN.....Wait Jaws was a shark. What's Free willies theme tune?

  • That is not a whale, it is a potato...but nah seriously it is not a whale but a type of Dolphin. Either way the Japanese would eat it.

  • @WackyZacky1000 The word "whale" can also be used to refer to all cetaceans, including dolphins.

  • @SayaAensland whale = a toothed dolphin.

  • @dmacid Hey bro, dolphins have teeth too. Just so you know.

  • Whales are smart and humans are constantly coming out to visit them. I'd bet the whales knew they were gonna get a rise out of that raft of kayaks and to them it's fun. No one can really know what they are thinking but from the whale watch trips I've been on it's pretty clear they show off and try to interact at least on some level.

  • thats actually a hunting tactic that orcas use to create a wave to in this case flip or wash an animal off of something

  • If I was in their situation I would be so freaked out.

  • Not sure about anyone else but.... I don't see an orca breaching.

And they surely don't seem scared, and I don't think anyone would or should be.

  • oh, these guys are poofs, whats to fear from a 30ft, 7 ton dolphin thats one of the smartest animals in the world and eats great white sharks

  • I don't think I would be happy if out orca did that here. Ours are not the resident salmon eating whales but the ones that hunt and kill things like Minki and small humpback whales.: To say nothing of porpoise, dolphin and seals. Nice vid.

  • holy crap....I would've been praying to the heavens above once his dorsal emerged from the water...lol

  • thats a lot of filled adult diapers.....

  • lol I wouldn't be so amused when a big ass whale did that 30 feet away from my holy arse...

  • Do they have to stay close like that to make it seem they are bigger to the whale? What if it was just one or two people there? Now that would be scary if that fin was coming at you and you were the only one there.

  • You would shit a brick if you saw that thing coming at you

  • WOAH!

  • More thrilling than anything Sea World could ever do.

  • I didn't see any sort of intense "breaching"

    A magical experience nonetheless!

  • i would be pooing myself !!! but i would still be like omg haha :)

  • i can smell the wee and werthers originals from here .....

  • Old people are cute

  • @sickboy932 only about 2 of them r old?

  • Laughing and hollering like a bunch of idiots. Those people could have died in seconds. I have witnessed similar behavior used by orcas to wash seals off of ice floes. Followed shortly by CONSUMPTION.

  • @ioscope they enjoy what they're doing and they're being expressive. holy shit dude. jesus, people like you need to just keep to them fucking selves.

  • @ioscope They're not in the Antarctic. Different populations of orcas hunt different food and use different hunting methods. Orcas by the American coastlines typically eat fish. Transient orcas (that swim in the open ocean and occasionally pop in at the coast) eat larger mammals, such as other whales and seals.

Furthermore, no orca population actively hunts humans. If they did, we would be hearing about orca attacks. They just don't consider humans as food.

  • I didn't see any breaching there....maybe a porpoise...but still, just incredible. When I can lose enough weight to squeeze into a kayak, I'll be doing this as soon as possible. lol I can't imagine how incredible it would be to be there...my heart would be ready to leap out my throat!

  • @sophie8739 a fancy word for saying a jump. Whales jump in a curve an it's called breaching

  • 0:03 reminds me of my grandpas laugh we always spent time talking about marine life but he died 2 years ago because of cancer

  • @ShadowFist237 sorry to hear that

  • i would have jumped in . one life fuck it

  • whats breach??

  • @sophie8739

when a whale jumps out of the water.

  • it didnt breach...did it?

  • Wish I was you!!!

  • I would have been scared to DEATH. If that thing leaps and lands on you...

  • its hard to tell if the orca really did breach, but its amazing non the less.

  • Breath taking and amazing...

  • ok like,on a real,i would have shit myself! lol

  • such wonderfull creatures! Awesome!

  • @opoptimus Ahaha. Suggestion: Put "almost" in front of harmless and "to humans/people" behind harmless and you'll have a more valid statement, although still not perfect. "Killer Whales are harmless" kinda doesn't make sense when "Killer" is in their name. They don't always intentionally attack humans but I'm sure when you're hungry and can't find food or pissed off you're stuck in a glass tank a little snack would do just fine. Sheer size, power, and intelligence make this animal a killer.

  • OMG... Those things are my worst fear... I do not trust any animal that can plan how to kill me.. Killer Whales are not harmless @opoptimus.. They are the A-holes of the sea.. Goggle that

  • @sweetnaughtylove

Killer whales are large dolphins, and like other dolphins, aren't aggressive or dangerous to humans. Only in very rare cases. There's no such thing as any animal being "an a-hole of the sea". Grow up

  • @FreeTheGhetto

When I said they are the A-holes of the sea. Its my true opinion of them. I do not know how much you paid attention in Marine Biology in High School, but they got their name because they like to torture blue whales just to get them to open their mouths, so they can eat their tongues. After that, they let the blue whale bleed to death. Even bottle nose dolphins kill other species of dolphins for fun. Here in Florida more people die from "harmless" animals than the news reports.

  • @FreeTheGhetto Pt2.

Wild Manatees here in Homsasasa Springs have killed a lot of people, by holding them underwater. This is why you can no longer snorkel with them. Orcas are very very intelligent. Any animal that can analyze a situation, and find a solution is not to be trusted in my book. Ocras play with their prey and let it die on it's own. Like a Kid pulling wings off a fly and watching it die. More trainers than reported dies in Seaworld. So we are not surpised when it happens anymore

  • @sweetnaughtylove How would you know more trainers die at sea world if it's not reported? You're just a conspirator

  • @storm1580 is she saying people die from orcas and know one knows? wow thats pretty sad cause you know the media eats that shizz up...

  • @opoptimus I'll pretend you did not just say orcas are HARMLESS. Do they attack people in the wild? Not really. Can they be harmful if they want to? Most fucking definitely.

  • RIP guise

  • good thing it wasn't hungry

  • haha noobs

  • Damn, if I saw that coming at me in the wild, I'd be pale as a sheet. Smart, bigger and stronger than a great white, and they travel in groups. I wouldn't take it for granted they were all like Shamu...

  • That must've been scary..but a great experience!

    Lucky you!

  • that's awesome.. not scary..

  • whoa! i guess they were holding hands so that it seems that its too large an animal ffor the whale to hunt..

  • now that must intense

  • freakin amazing 5/5

  • I can't believe it. That whale was playing with you guys!
