@MxQuestion572 Ken Roczen got 4th in the last round of FIM GPs on a 125. If you have ever seen Barcia race a 125 he KILLS it. I would bet he is faster than Roczen on a 125 easily.

If you also watch the way Barcia rides you can see how he would be better off on a 125. The aggressive riding, trying to rail berms harder than a 250F can.

So as I said, I bet he would likely be faster on a 125, and win more races.

the lites just don't have the torque to get around that turn and up to speed fast enough to clear it on a consistent basis. the pro circuit 250f guys (rattray, wilson, baggett) and others could probably do it with confidence. but w a championship on the line, it's prob not worth it to try in a real moto cuz it's so risky. not worth it to crash and lose a close champinship race when nobody else isn't jumping it anyway. the top guys can make up the time on other parts of the track.

we used to do laraccos leap on the 250's back in 98 99 but it has been stretched to 130 ft and back then it was 120 and you had to come clean from the corner before it, the 450 does it with ease but its a up and over jump thats what makes it hard, the two strokes are still fun to watch and ride but you just feel really old when you say you used to race them!!!!!!!cool video!!

@yz250frider4 - Well, I'd have to defer to you if you saw it, but it sure sounds like a 125. Just listen to him hit 12,000 to 13,000 RPM. Rarely does a 250 two-stroke rev that high. Then again, it's Barcia - who in his 125 days sounded like he was riding an 80, and when he rode 80's it sounded like a hair dryer, so I perhaps you are right. But geez does it sound like a 125.

Personally, I'd rather see him out there racing 2-strokes.
