  • Love All Hyenas. Nuff Said.

  • were the fuck can i get one?

  • As nasty as Hyenas are these are damn cute

  • I hate how people think they are monsters but they never really look at how they live and how loving they are.

  • @Widwo1324 blame the lion king

  • I wonder what they eat. Hummmmmm

  • My favorite animals are the Grizzly Bear, Spotted Hyena, and Southern White Rhino.

  • So docile!

  • I think the other hyena wanted some screen time too!

  • holy shit thats fucken awesome. they're like dogs.

  • Love Hyenas. Best Animal for me.

  • I think Hyenas are adorable

  • what's their temperament like compared to dogs?

  • Man i would love to have some Hyena's as friends.

  • THEY ACT LIKE GIANT CACKLING PUPPIES! I'd want one as a pet but I'm concerned it could bite my hand off if it was mad at me.

  • r they pets? ♥

  • @tse4129

I'll save OP the trouble of answering.

    1. They are not pets. OP's profile says he works at a zoo, and the video description mentions that these hyenas are "at work." From this I can safely say that they are residents of the zoo OP works at.

  • all hyenas r harmless unless they have raybies i love hyenas theyr cute

  • @tse4129

    2. Cute, yes, harmless, definitely not. ANY wild animal can be dangerous, especially large carnivores. Hyenas are more than capable of killing a human, and in Africa they sometimes do so. The animals in this video have likely been around humans their whole lives, but it's still likely that they aren't safe with people they aren't used to.

  • @tse4129 You are a dumbass. It is spelled rabies, and your statement is false.

  • holy crap lol they look so cute how can they have one of the worlds strongest bites (their bite exceeds the lion's) you treat them like a household dog lol and they act like one

  • awe! so cute! WHERE DO YOU WORK I WANT YOUR JOB <3

  • if you scratch them fast on the chest, do their legs go really fast like dogs?

When they're lying down on their back they remind me of my dog

  • @miameow91 haha, you made my day by saying that.

  • @hetekos hyenas are not realted to weasels they are related to mongooses and meerkats which go in the same relative branch as cats, while weasels are go into the branch that consists of dogs, bears, racoons etc.

  • @dragondudeification Mongooses are related to both cats and weasels.

  • what if it bit her hand off right on camera...that woulda been AWESOME!

  • they are soooooo cute man

  • Their eyes weird me out. They're just straight black, like. Like a fish.

  • @Resurfaceful Actually, If you think about it, They might be dark brown. They just give the look that they look Black in colour. :D

  • @xMagicalWaterz

Seconded. I found some higher-quality photos of hyenas, and they definitely have dark brown eyes.

  • Then it bites your arm off.

  • naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw

  • I love hyenas, they are so cute!!!

  • Nope! it's just Chuck Testa!

  • Ok everyone stop making me feel stupid

  • Aaaawwwwww cute but dangerous =/

  • Cute, but I'd rather keep my German Shepherds.

  • @cquity1 I honestly feel like a retard now

  • Hyenas don't attack the living unless

Ss the have To they are scavengers in the wild so it won't attack him as far as I know

  • @skullenbonez

Incorrect, hyenas are highly efficient and organized hunters with a higher kill rate than lions, who are more likely to scavenge and steal kills off other carnivores. Big predators are opportunists in a very competitive world. There are many documented attacks by hyena to human, think about it - if you were lost and out on the African plains alone, and stumbled across a pack of hungry hyenas, trust me. They will definitely check you out. Easy meat like any human.

  • @skullenbonez

Very in-correct friend, Hyena's are one of the top predators in Africa right behind Lions..

An all predators are scavenger's, no matter the size, power, or shape.. They do what is needed to survive. esp when food is limited.

  • @skullenbonez I read that they actually kill 95% of their food, the rest is scavenged.

  • They look like they are smiling!

  • where do you work?

  • Oh my god, they are so damn cute. They're just like dogs. Now I want a hyena as a pet.

  • They are beautiful creatures.

  • How long do you have to work at a zoo before they allow you to interact with the animals? I was thinking about working at a zoo so I can do something like this.

  • lmao

  • awwww!It's so cute!

  • daaaw :___: hyenas are so cute and cool, i really want to pet them too ;;__;;

  • @ jamesHatake i could of sworn the zoo i went to the zoo keeper told me hyenas are related to dogs, wolves fox,s & what ever looks or act like dog , i dont mean to be rude but the hyena do resembles a dog i cant see any cat in this beautiful creature. because would'nt the hyena look more like a cheetah or lion & so on ? i also have this book full of animal life kinda like a big dictionary with pics & the hyena seems to be in the dog catagory.

  • When they start to laugh... RUN !

  • OMG they're so cute!

  • I gotta admit, those hyenas are adorable. But they're still wild animals and must be treated with respect and caution. They can just as easily rip your throat out as roll over and let you give them belly rubs.

  • Awwwwwwww omg where in the world do u work. I would kill to play with a hyena they r my favorite animal. Ur so lucky!!

  • pssssssh just a hyena

  • "they are just hyenas nothing to worry about", writes the poster of this video.

Urm. There's plenty to worry about. There's nothing "cute" about hyenas. These animals are ruthlessly efficient predators with bone crunching jaw power. It matters little whether or not they've been raised since cubs; they're wild animals and not pets, and are more than capable of suddenly turning and killing a human with ease.

Now THAT would be a YouTube video worth watching!

  • @bofursgun Yeah, any wild animal is like that. Even wild horses. But if you're around a animal since it was a baby, it will view you as part of it's family or group. and you can interact with it. And personally, I think Hyenas are cute, especially their laugh.

  • @naruhinafan274,

You're being very silly. It is unwise to portray killers as "cute", as people such as yourself misinterprete this and go "aaaaaah" with an animal that could rip your face at any given moment.

    Hyenas are not pets.

  • @bofursgun I know Hyenas are not pets. I'm not "silly" and I know perfectly well that they can easily kill someone. All I'm saying is that, if you are around a animal for most of its life, it is more likely to trust you. It's the same thing with dogs. If a dog has never been socialized around humans before in its life, it would likely behave either timidly or aggresively, depending on how it was treated when it was younger.

  • @naruhinafan274,

No. Hyenas, like many other dangerous animals like big cats and chimpanzees, have an inherent wild streak to them that dogs do not due to being domesticated for centuries.

And even if you do "domesticate" them for multiple generations, they have the raw power, artillery and sheer strength to do a great deal of damage. Remember, it's a wild animal and as such is unpredictable. This is why you're silly.

If you had a baby, would you leave it alone with your "pet" hyena?

  • @bofursgun You shouldn't leave ANY animal alone with a baby, even a pet dog. Besides, I have petted a Hyena before at a zoo and it was very friendly towards me and everyone else because it has ben socialized at a young age. Am I saying that it would never attack? No, I'm not. And since you're either too stubbern, or too stupid to ackowledge that you're wrong, I'm just going to save my breathe(so to speak) and go somewhere else to have a intelligent conversation

  • @naruhinafan274 Remember Charla Nash? Had her face removed by a "tame" chimp that was a "pet." Remember Siegfried & Roy? Just a big cute kitty cat rat, and a cuddly monkey, right? Both "socialized at a young age" as you so smartly put it...? So a hyena was friendly to you once, eh? Very nice.

Good luck in the emergency room next time when you have no arm and piss off all the staff who have to treat you instead of people who are there because of a genuine accident and not stupidity.

  • do they eat humans and devour our souls?

  • Cute. Might want to go into witness protection though...I hear some of his relatives are currently wanted for accessory to regicide in a canyon.

  • @picoides1

    Gentlemen, we have a winrar.

  • They are technically closer related to cats than to dogs but they really are relatively far away from both so either way it's just easier to equate them to weird cats than anything else.

  • When I was little I always wondered if they were related to cats or dogs...or perhaps bears....it took me until recently to discover that they are their own species.

They're so unique. Their bodies slant downward at the end like a german shepherd, they have the same nose as a bear but the shape of their face, their eyes and ears are different. I think they're cute and I love 'em!

Their sound is also unique, I love how it's a laugh Lol <3 <3

  • CUTE! :)

  • i want one :(

  • amazing animals!

  • I have a pet hyena that i stole from a zoo and i ride it around and steal shit for people

  • @mickmos That was YOU?? Dude I want my curtains back, bro. The blue ones, not the pink ones.

  • @TheTundrawolf

    Well played, sir

  • @aspergersKids Dyslexia? That was interesting to read, i've never seen someone with Dyslexia type before.

  • @Ubuuuroi

oh yeah thats my cousin. yeah he has dylexia,

  • "Oh no you can't have the cam-..."

    He got the camera.

    XD

  • it's amazing how they are related to the mongoose and they have soo many dog like features

  • hes so cute, but is he trained?

  • all doggie and kitten like creatures just want to hug and be hugged <:)

  • awesome video i hope to work with carnivores after college and hyenas are one of my favorite animals i honestly dont think they get enough credit.

  • Lol, dude i envy your job. I would love to have a job like yours and be able to spend time with animals like that. I love hyenas... they are cute. Lol

  • Nice hyenas. Happy as can be, and healthy looking. ^^ All you people asking about hyenas and exotic pets, go to work with them as trainers, or get a special permit through school.

  • "It's just a hyena"? That's a joke, right? That's saying, "It's just a carnivore that can steal prey from lions, hunt them in packs, and has a bite force that can crush bone." I'd worry like mad....

Since this is your job, I figure you're just making a wisecrack—and have training in how to handle our pal, Crocuta crocuta. ;) who is a beautiful animal with baby-talk inducingly cute young. You sir, are a lucky man to have such beautiful creatures in your life.

  • Oh I think they're so adorable! Love the eyes!!! :-)

  • How long do they live ?

And how much for shipping ?

I'm willing to pay handsomely :)

  • dont be stupid. its a fatal attraction. if you think pitbulls are dangerous, a hyena is 50 times more dangerous than a pitbull. a hyena would shred a pitbull.

  • @urAllanimalz damn right

  • OMG, this is adorable!

    I wanna pet it <3

  • @yukiichigolollipop Seriously??? :)

  • OMG they r so cuuuttee!!! o.o *explodes from to much cuteness cunsumed at once*

  • Fatal Attractions, bets show evuuur

  • I would love to have a spotted!I am having alot of trouble finding someone who is honest about it.I live on 470 acers and in alabama. Can you tell me a little about them and how to own one!

  • @armymom20 "in Alabama" I think you might have some problems there. Unless you are a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, you will have a hard time adopting one of these creatures. They are dangerous apex predators, and require intense care. Start with cats and work up from there.

  • I want one! wait no... I want a couple of them! :P

  • awwww

  • @JamesHatake is it true that they smell really bad?

  • When I think of the Hyenas I think of Lion King.

  • there just like doggies.... but if yhu get it pissed off it will eat yhu fucking alive!!!

  • Baaaaw!!! I'm so jealous! T^T

  • I envy you :c

  • cute!!!

  • I didn't know hyenas can be affectionate! I always thought these creatures were cold hearted killing machines

  • I mean, wild animals are just wild animals. It's the same kind of thing with dogs. I wouldn't go near a dog that I don't know, in case it is not used to humans or untrained. But Dragon clearly is used to people, so I would cautiously approach it with a professional nearby if I wanted to pet it.

  • they so beautifull .. i love them .

  • hes like my dog!!! SO CUTE<3

  • Hyenas have been know to sometimes attack humans in the wild, the usual scenario, humans in the wrong place at the wrong time.

  • i want one :-)) so cute :-* i lvoe hyenas

  • i want one :-)) so cute :-* i lvoe hyenas

  • thats cool they are friendly like a dog lol

  • @jameshatake dude really hyenas are related to dogs and they also have feliformia which is something cats have but there related to dogs thats what they are COME ON MAN

  • @goose9100 They're actually closer to civets and mongooses than other animals, but fit closely into the "cat" family. It is simply coincidence that their physical characteristics coincide with canines.

  • No they arn't they are not related to a cat or dog they are in their own family. Related to nothing.

  • @JamesHatake well they do share a recent common ancestor with cats and dogs and are most closely related to cats and dogs that way. Order Carnivora. Not contradicting you, but I think both of you are right. According to Wikipedia, they are categorized as being more catlike than doglike which really surprised me

  • @JamesHatake They're canines, actually.

  • @SloeElvis They're not canines. They actually more closely related to cats than dogs. But they make up their own seperate species hyaenidae. Their closest living relative is the mongoose.

  • @AJice1980 Oops, yeah, you're right. Just did some research. Sorry I was so arrogant.

  • @JamesHatake

you don't felt afraid with them? waw..u r so brave..hyenas have most powerful bite in the animal kingdom..but i think this animal cute n funny, especially when they laugh..hehe..

  • @JamesHatake

they are Feliformia, cat-like carnivores, they ARE related to cats

  • @immortalx50 No hyenas are their own species they're not a sub-species of cat or dog

  • @JamesHatake More related to cats that dogs and they are even more closely related to mongooses. Check the order.

  • @JamesHatake Hyena's are more closely related to felines. Do your research.

  • @JamesHatake Well, they're related to the other three hyena species.

  • @JamesHatake Actually, they're feliformia (cat-like), meaning they're related to mongoose and the likes.

So actually, they are closer related to cats. They're a lot smarter than dogs, having shown to be able to understand human behavioural languages as well as dog, plus the females are always the dominant gender in their family groups (and even have a penis-like genital appendage to match).

  • @JamesHatake They're closer to cats than dogs, apparently. They're in suborder feliforma.

  • @JamesHatake imho if you look them straight in the face they look more like mice than cats and dogs.

  • @JamesHatake

actually hyenas whil not part of the same family are actually very large weasels which are their closest relatives

  • @JamesHatake They are in the suborder, Feliformia, within the order Carnivora and includes cats (large and small), hyenas, mongooses, civets and related taxa. They are definitely unique, but if had to be related to something it would be large cats (as opposed to canines).

  • anyone know a hyena is acually realated to a feline? not a canine

  • lol at the end! "noo, you cant tap the camera!"

  • awww...

  • I am so jealous. Seriously. This would be one of my dreams come true.

  • ADORABLE!!!! <3

  • awehhh <3

  • i wanna pet hyena...they're sooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!!!

  • @There4leonskennedy They may be cute, but there is no way you would ever get me that close to one.

  • I have said this before, i'd look like such a badass walking a hyena... think about it

  • @MrRogers1771 Yes but once it grows up, it would start walking you. XD

  • @MrRogers1771 It's been done. Google "hyena people" and you'll see it. But I don't recommend it to the casual animal lover. The people who walk hyenas are bad...

  • atleast someone loves animals.my country has no animal protection leuge.damn my country to hell!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AW there so CUTE! <3

  • Comment removed

  • Hyenas are disgusting! Why would you want one?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @niggajust2comment hyenas are not disgusting there cute and sweet as long as you train them.

  • Most smug title and description ever.

  • lol those are so sweet. Too bad they're capable of biting an arm off with one bite or I'd want one as a pet haha

  • Amazing

  • Awwww so gorgeous! I want to squeeze one.

  • When I worked with wolves I had the same love with the ones I was a handler for. I really do miss it. It's an experience that can't be put into words unless you've been that close to an animal... that if it didn't love you... could hurt you immensely.

  • pitbulls of africa...lol

I usually see hyenas as the annoying ones on all the wildlife show but they are actually really cute when they arent laughing....but i heard theyre jaws are super dooper strong...

  • AWWWW!!!!!! :3333333

  • @TNPKGB

    TNP fucking sucks

Nutnfancy is just a piece of shit 50 year old man playing Lion King putting labels on people.

His project is a joke I'm simply a guy who think his project sucks! I do like Hyenas though and I pretty much like all animals =)

  • @TNPKGB lololol haha you rock!

  • i want one as a pet!

  • James was eaten shortly after shooting this video

  • @natedawg3654

    We can only hope

  • @natedawg3654 stupid kings lion racistfan ¬¬

  • more video please :) great animal! love those eyes

  • I never really thought of hyenas as pets. In my head they were, like, huge predators who hunt to kill and stuff. These two of yours are so cute and I adore them already! :D

  • They're so sweet. But also terrifying if you're alone in the bush at night!! I love AND fear them. We always did, in the African bush where I grew up as an Mzungu Mswahili..
