  • R.I.P. Major Richard D. Winters and God Bless You.

  • Can someone link to the part where that guy got that hurt?

  • Song seems like it would have gone better with a Doc Roe montage.

  • You sully this great series with crap, whiny, bullshit music. Have you no common sense?

  • hi oh silver !!!!!!!!!

  • But it made it more emotional when the guys were bleeding, hurt, or dying

  • Good vid an all but the song kinda didnt fit the feeling of war

  • im becoming a medical officer atm. shit's really hard mentally.

  • What song is this who is it by

  • @ronman325 how to save a life by the fray

  • Winters was a good man and so was the rest of easy company may they and the good German soilders such as the German general who surrendered at the end of the show and spoke to his men and other Germans who didn't kill or hurt Jews rest in peace cus if you notice when the war with Germany was over alot of Germans and Americans were getting along I noticed that at the end like when this soilder helped this one legged German soilder get a ride that got to me a little you know any may they rip

  • @evidentmagicman its ahrd to work for the money we get paid very little for the hardest job in the world for those who do they will die quickly or leave faster

  • @evidentmagicman i was gonna join to keep the family line going but my mom said no. my 2 great grandparents were marine generals in WWII my grandpa was a army engineer and my uncle was in the navy during the gulf war it might strand further but thats all i know but i have a knack for strategy and have a tenacious appitite for pushing thru the enemy lines

but anyways i rlly liked WWII it rlly was a war that had to be fought

  • I gotta tell ya, when listening to this without watching it, the explosions, gunfire, and screams seem just a little out of place with this sort of song.

Watching it, though, everything seems quite well put together. Very emotional video, excellent work.

  • @Dutchstopmotions Okay this was from a year ago.......but anyways I can forgive anyone, but I don't know how you can forgive the Germans and then not forgive the Japanese.....I'm not saying treat one better than the other, but i think you have only read "The Pacific" and not any books about the German occupation in world war 2, because that was just as evil as anything the Japanese did, i guess you can say, the Germans just did there evil in almost a more polite way, but it was just as bad......

  • Found myself crying after watching this. beautiful<3

R.I.P to every man from Easy Company. You will forever be remembered.

  • best band of brothers vid ive ever seen

  • My dad and brother passed away 3 days ago and this song help me get through it and im not gonna give the whole story..... my friend just told me my mom,my other brother and sis died just now .... why is thus Happening *Crys*

  • Hats off to any man who fought in that war. Allies or Axis they were all brave men and deserve respect.

  • Richard Winters

    January 21, 1918 – January 2, 2011 (aged 92)

    Rest in pace!

  • btw saw this show (didnt see a full episode though) and loved it made me feel like i was really there and even though i already had a good understanding of ww2 it gave me a better one. One scene that's stuck in my mind is when easy company is in a belgian city (that was the first episode i saw so i dont know names well) and one of the soldiers (a young boy) was shot and how he was screaming about how he didnt want to die.

  • @warhawk9566 saw this like 8-9 years ago in HBO bt never really understood as I was bad in English but never the less loved army movies.........and when few weeks ago when I saw the whole series all 10 episodes I remebered almost half of the events; STILL.......UTMOST RESPECT 4 THE MESN OF EASY COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @nepal9211 yes hats off to them. they where extremely courageous men. My favorite moments of courag was when a squad was pinned down by an mg-42 and one of the men ran straight up to it an through a grenade inside and when one of the soldiers needed to get to a flanking position so he ran in the open where two mg-42's and a tiger tank was shooting at him. situations like that would scare most men shitless

  • @warhawk9566 so...true situations like that wud scare most men........bt the training and discipline given to them by Sobel was also a major factor.......these guys went through some of the toughest trainings that surpassed normal human beings capacity..thats why their the BEST!!!!!!!! my fav part was probably when they were landing......Day of days....CARANTEEN....and Battle of Bastogne..........their COURAGE!!!!!! BRAVERY!!!!! COMERADSHIP!!!!!! was put to the TEST!!!!!!! that was so...SAD

  • @nepal9211 there training helped in those situations but they didnt recieve special training. they recieved the same training as anyone else. A saying from Sun Tzu the man who wrote the art of war "Put a normal man in an impossible fight and he will become a better warrior than any elite." that's not word for word but u get it. the impossible situations easy company faced and their will to survive was what made them such badasses

  • well, good luck....i hope to be able to do the same thing soon, you never know,we might not know it but,we could meet over there, doubt it,

  • I'm sorry to say this, I really like the video and the music, but it showed me again how stupid we humans are to kill our own species. I'm joining the military myself soon though. There's so much messed up in this world. Where are we going?

  • @Devellish well, when you go over there, god, listen to hero of war and anything bad he sings about in that song, only do half

  • @gamerzhelper101 War is shit. I know that. People ask me often enough if I know what shit I'm probably going to be in and if I realize it. War is and never has been pretty. That's not why I'm going there. I'm going to do a job. Just like they say; I'm not here to look good, I'm here to be good. I don't know what I'm going to do but I know nobody should leave a man behind so I'm sure as hell not going to do that. We'll be in hell together and we'll get out together.

  • holy shit, the video sucked me in tottaly 0__0

  • @dannybar9 marines of course are the best but i give the thumbs up to anyone whoo will commit to our nations armed forces no matter what branch they choose unless its the coast guard they are all pussies

  • @dannybar9 Marines, and every other branch.

  • The fray e Band of Brothers!! fala serio!! PERFEITO!

  • this is by far the best video on YouTube thanks for the vid,the song does go good with the footage! 5/5! :)

  • Chek ot my video!

  • cant you guys below get peace and enjoy the song?

  • awsome song...amazing video

  • I like how you put some audio from the actual show in this. Beautiful video. :) Gave me goosebumps.

  • Im a WW2 Fantic and the germans wounded a troop or 2 and shot whoever helped the wounded and kept doing it cuz they knew american soldiers wouldnt leave a man down. So technically they did shoot some medics. But This usually only happened with German Snipers.

  • Dylan is right.

Im half japanese and my grandfather and his brothers were on the japanese side...

    no soldiers but food transport..

his brother died cuz he had to protect himself

    my granddad survived...

  • easy company fought germans but anyway that goes great you did a great job mate.

  • Awsome! The song go's good with the footage!

Re: Band Of Brothers - How To Save a Life by marylouharrah55

  • Amazing video... Nice job!

  • @TheBobismyuncle I dont think it was back then, as the UN, and more importantly the Geneva convention had not taken place.

  • The Geneva Convention (the rules of war) is actually four conventions - the 1st-3rd Geneva Conventions (the ones that dealt with medical personnel in the field) had all taken place before WWII. So it was against the rules. But rules only go so far when you're actually in combat.

  • at 2:11- I thought it was technically a war crime to shoot medics?

  • it is but the phrase war is hell is true once again

  • it is in the Geneva Convention, but it is overlooked by everyone. the idea being if that soldier is saved, he could come back and face your army another day. Plus the Japanese sought out and shot our medics specifically.

  • @TheBobismyuncle it is =(

  • something gives me the feeling they didnt care

  • Comment removed

  • it is and it is against the geneva convention for medics to shoot back but if you ever look at the copy of signatures america never sighned it but we do follow it war is war if yer there you will probably shoot someone

  • Really?! thats pretty dumb because the japaneese in ww2 targeted them because americans would "use many soldiers to save 1 medic"

  • I thought it was too,but then I read the book "Flag of Our Father's" and it said it was very brave to be a corpsman because the Japanese would try to shoot them and the medics. They say said that they would see the bags that the corpsman wore.I'm not to sure though.:)

  • well this was a new type of war, blitzen war. lightning war. very quick and different from just WWI.

  • oh yes, they are..

  • uncommon valor is a common virtue

  • respect

  • good job

  • this is so good, amazing series i remember being in grade 5 and getting mum to tape me every episode so i could watch after school haha. I own the box set now, awesome video btw!!

  • this series is my fav and im only 13! good job with the timing

  • Wow. Nice job on the video man! Simply awsome and excellent!

  • nice video!!!

  • this is so sad why did they have to shoot a medic i thought u didnt have to shoot the medic anyway R.I.P all the soilders that died in WW2

  • While I was in the Army and stationed in Germany from 98-01 I spent a couple of four days weekends touring the Battle of the Bulge battlefields, there are places around St Vith were you can still see the foxholes that were occupied by the U.S. troops defending the town, there are still rusty ammo cartridges on the ground, and Bastogne was a very nice little town to spend a day in, I would recommend a trip there to anyone who loves this mini series.

  • You know you don't have to say troops, because there were only soldiers fighting in Europe during World War 2. Not one Marine

  • I know that but using the word "troops" is an easier term instead of trying to identify every unit fighting in Europe.

  • we dont make wars like they used to

  • we don't make them, they just happen. Over oil. Terrorism

  • Tank you marcd2k7 that's exactly what i meant !!!

  • i think you al are missing the concept behind thefunnyman217's comment. fighting side by side, fighting and living for a cause and even dying for a cause is a noble thing... aint no rascism, hate or anything between men who shed blood together... i agree id like to have fought with men like these, maybe i and others today would be better people for it and just maybe we wouldnt be looking over our shoulder or going to war again, but then again mankind will never learn. R.I.P Heroes!

  • flaschenfab.. bin deiner meinung =)

  • this is one of the most stupid things i ever read....

    1.: Stop playing CoD 1-2.

    2.: Its "Krauts".

    3.: Idiot.

  • u would love it untilled you got killed

  • U are fucked up man bad comment

  • Trust me, you dont wish you were there, be thankful you wern't. You either died of bloodwound or worse, away from your family and loved ones, or came out with horric/ scarring memories and mentally disabled from the horror or remembering your best friends dying beside you.

  • After watching Band of Brothers and really thinking about the real men that risked their lives just for our country, it really makes you wondering if we're worth it sometimes. Cause out country, not matter how great, got so screwed up.

  • One of the saddest things about Operation Valkyrie was that even after seeing what the Germans did to occupied areas, the plotters thought they could negotiate a peace that would make Germany exactly the same as before 1914.

  • Great video. Very well cut.

  • And what dose this have to do with fucking football?

  • everything..

and at the same time..absolutely nothing haha

  • wow ths is really good montage. the clips fit the song in time and everything. love it

  • The Band of Brothers AKA 501st 101 airbrone Easy Company. This was the only really war that everyone Was supposed to be there. Americans Paid a great price for that war and i Salute to all of the soldiers Dead,Alove and future soliders God bless them all.

  • 506*

  • this song can make you think a lot, i never realized how bad war was until now, i knew it was terrible, but not like this

  • go look at casualties from iraqi freedom and you will see how many men have died. then think about WWII. WWII was one of the worst in kills.

  • worst war for us was the civil war.

  • yeah true, a lot of good men died. our country divied into 2. id say so. but besides us WWII was the worst.

  • yea casualty wise anyway. but also we must not forget what everyone else lost and what is to blame. or it will happen again and i am seeing it happen again.

That is the saddest part. right now the american people are just like the germans in 1933-34. "the savior is upon us to bring change and all that other shit" unfortunately in a couple years we are gonna wake up and find history repeated itself again. I pray it doesnt for the sake of millions of americans lives

  • yeah i know what you mean. its just as bad but we have a better moral compass than germany back then...

  • id like to think so anyway haha

  • well since we havent gone against any certain races in our country, and havent put them in concetration camps id say we arnt. and i dont think we will kill 11million innocent people in our own country.

  • well we did imprison the entire populatu of japanese americans. wasn't as bad. but thenn when they helped fight they were kind of like civil war black armies. the generals were mean, they were cannonfoder, and they were slandered by their own poeple. yet they stilll fought to prove a piont. pardon my spelling.

  • yet japan imprisoned chinese and britians and other people from enemy and random islands. japan was a weak enemy, the war in Europe was the biggest turning point and to me was the most interesting

  • Japan was weak???? Are you kidding me?

Sure the European front was more interesting, but in many ways the Japanese were 10x more brutal than the Germans.

  • @Dylan52689 more brutal than the Germans?! more brutal than the SS?! get your facts straight man. you ever see a battle so deadly so bad between the 2 most nationalist and stubbern countries before?! its called Stalingrad. look that up, the Russians may have won but look what the Germans did. and all i see the japs did was torture people because they couldnt fight worth shit. fuck the japanese.

  • the japs fought to death and used traps horrible torture and had a shitload of suicidle people but they couldnt beat the USMC Ooorah

  • @Iisainfidel damn right!!!!!!! Oorah! even the germans who were tough called the Marines "Devil Dogs"!!!

  • I think you need to get your facts straight pal....

    The japanese shot our medics.

    The Germans didnt.

The japanese sent 60,000 americans on a march killing half of them. And then when they got to the prison camps.. They herded them all into air raid shelters and burned them alive.

The SS was just a few units.

The whole japanese army was brutal.

So next time you try to argue, remember there are people who were there or are descendants of them.

  • @Dylan52689 dumbass my uncle was in the death march. and the Germans killed 11 million people. and shooting medics just means your fucking stupid because they were weak.

  • How am i a dumbass, How was i supposed to know that your uncle was in the death march.

And the 11 million comes from the holocaust... A completely different thing from the war.

  • how was it a completely different thing? if the holocaust is irrelevant to the Germans than all the torture and death march is irrelevant to the japs. and your a dumbass because everyone pulls the death march card when it was really a show of cowards who couldnt follow simple rules and lied.

  • @MrAMERICANxMUSCLE ok, if you can spell the whole word Germans, cant you at least give the Japanese respect and spell their whole name...i hate when people shorten it down and say japs

  • @kalo484 japs? because i respect the Germans. 14. i respect the way they fought not like some cave men like japan. They had some good morals and good thoughts.

  • @kalo484 IN WW2 we called german jerries and japanese japs lol

  • @webster22221 we also called the germans "fritz" and "krauts"

  • @Philliesrock97 ya i heard about krauts nd stuf but not fritz lol,do you have a psn

  • @webster22221 yea some called them fritz or fritzie and i dont have psn but i do have xbox live

  • @Philliesrock97 whats yur live mssg me it lol i got a free trial

  • @webster22221 i was talking specifically to that guy, not all of america back in the 1940's

  • @kalo484 i know im just saying

  • @webster22221 hey im gonna sub for you but can you please tell me what they do anyone tell me please lol

  • @webster22221 i have a great respect for japenese people i was just saying

  • who thinks they should make a band of brothers video game for the consoles i know i would buy it woudnt you

  • @kalo484 i always call germans GERMS hahah

  • @kalo484 yeah i have freinds that always call the germans GERMS omg i hate it!

  • @kalo484 Americans=Yankees/Cowboys, Japanese=Japs/Sneaky Japs, Germans=Nazis, Englishmen=Lads/Chaps/Arses...Etc...haha

  • @mehl3 you've missed a few like tommies jerrys slantys

  • @mehl3 also japanese: tojo

  • @mehl3 also germans are called krauts short for sauerkrauts (yes that's spelled correctly)

  • @kalo484 i use the name Kraut and japs

  • @MrAMERICANxMUSCLE

well you know they were allied together the nazis were deff. evil and certanly brutal however the fighting style was deff. from jappan. in japan they were taught to fight until the last man, untire islands were still held by one person at times the found a jap. spy from ww2 on honolulu still thinking the war was going on and he did not surrender its a matter of opinion who was more brutal but historicle records show jappanesse fighting was harder

  • @emerychandler ok well i want to change the subject here, not that im disagreeing anymore but i want everybodys opinion. Do you think the NAZIs were evil? becuase NAZI was a nationalst and socialst party for workers and the swastika means to be lucky. im just curious because im tired of people saying all Germans who were even NAZIs were bad.

  • @MrAMERICANxMUSCLE...I dont think anyone who believed in the National Socialist part in the beggining was evil it was at the start a good part but as soon as lead party members aimed their sights higher and it got worse anyone who stayed around and new about Nazi going ons and stayed was evil, they then supported a wrong cause

  • but why do all japanese have to be bad

  • @kalo484 they all thought the Americans were evil. men and women jumped off cliffs when Americans conquered islands the japs controlled. thats why, they were all brain washed.

  • but dude, they dont now

  • @kalo484 i know but back then thats why they were bad.

  • do you hate them now?

  • @MrAMERICANxMUSCLE at first i dont think the people were evil but once when they tried taking everything and hurting the jews (and otheres) thats were people began being evil there were people who knew about the camps and it certanly was nopt a secret so i the they were evil not all germans were bad thou and some nazis may have actualy been fighting or working for something just those with hitler were evil those who carried on were ok but thats my opnion

  • @emerychandler but a lot of people part of SS (which was hitlers private elite fighting force) being in the SS was honorable much like being in the Marine today and if you didnt believe in what hitler was doing you werent part of the SS anymore. and some of hitlers top generals didnt believe in it. just i hate when people think all NAZIs and Waffen SS are bad. thats why i posted that comment to get peoples ideas on it.

  • @MrAMERICANxMUSCLE hm i see your point i geuss its with killing innocent people not all were bad so i geuss it was those who wanted the jews and others dead

  • @emerychandler yeah i guess it can go both ways on that question as some werent bad and some were.

  • @MrAMERICANxMUSCLE i understand its hard to take in and hey i like your photo
