Though I do have my reservations about the some of the drowsy and dull dialogues and historic inaccuracies(but still much better than that HERO crap), the opening battle sequence is just classic. On par, if not beating the best Kurosawa moments out there

The movie Hero isn't meant to be historically accurate - it's a classic fantasy-wuxia movie where the characters have super powers and can kill enemies by the thousands. And the dialogue in the movie Hero is excellent.
