i have the htc inspire and i went to best buy and seen the google nexus s, its a quick phone, and also clear 5 mp camera and to include it has a front facing camera, but htc phones are a fun phone it is also a fast phone too but you cant really say that one is better than the other.

the htc inspire may come with more customization preloaded on the fone but the nexus s is more faster and better looking than the htc inspire and the nexus s has the nfc chip which is a great feature u failed to mention. My winner is the Nexus s and its a google phone come on!!!!

Hi,

It is possible install diferent keyboards on this device. You don't need root.

I'am using Multiling, SwiftKey and Swype. Just download and select input method.

My Inspire isn't rooted!

As a nexus owner I do with Google stuck with HTC. If j could have gotten the nexus one I would have. I agree with Aaron though not having a camera button is frustrating, taking a clear shot one handed is a pain. Still think to compare the cameras you have to out them on the computer.

Regarding the internet speed. I'm not sure exactly how brands and carriers work in the US, but can't you get an unlocked Inspire 4g and grab a T-Mobile plan?

@wzrdwid0w yes but if you do, 4g is out of the question because its a different carrier. you'll be lucky if you get 3g because most unlocked phones on different carriers will get edge internet speeds

You can sideload keyboards on the Inspire 4G, just longpress a text input field and change the text input. I'm using Smart Keyboard Pro on my Inspire 4G.

Nice review but word of advice,

If you use quadrant I recommend "quadrant advanced" the regular quadrant only shows scores as a whole when they're actually divided on quadrant advanced with CPU, 3d games, 2d games, Etc... That's where you see re nexus s is actually much better for gaming

i wish you talked more about the screens. the one on the inspire 4g looks grey-ish while the one on the nexus s looks very nice, the black is very black and all the colors seem to be alive. apart from that great "fight"

Aaron has not updated the os to 2.3.3. If u look carefully when he opens the application menu, there is no Google Books. On the latest update, Google added the books app and it can't b removed.

That's a lie. You can add keyboards without being rooted. Just that on sense it doesn't show the input method button unless you have another keyboard

The Nexus' display is far better and everything is faster on it. And stock Gingerbread is definitely not ugly. But the Inspire 4G may be better for Newbies but what did they do to the battery?

I love the inspire and the battery isnt as bad as people say....just make sure you charge it 3 hours more than when it says its fool the first 2-3 times you charge it. Let it totally discharge each time...this will insure that your cells are trained correctly. I get better battery life than i do on my iphone 4. i havnt plugged mine in since yesterday at 8 am so its been over 24 hours and im on 12 %. Also you can get different keyboards without sideloading...slide it in android market and others

@jakezabo OK, this is such a false claim, the inspire getting more battery life than an iphone is BS. Don't make remarks like these because they are bad and misleading, unless the iphone was running ful brightness and playing music and the inspire on standby I don't believe you one bit.

@TILINwho how are you going to say im lying when i own both phones? they are both good phones...the battery last about the same for me. i put them both on full brightness and never lock screen and ran them both for about 4 hours while i left and came back and they were almost on the same % the iphone was like 4% more because the screen is smaller

@yash7654321 i have the insprie 4g or Desire HD for those outside the united state and im happy with it for the most part out of the box . it's fast , sturdy and reliable . the metal frame gives it much more of a premium feeling . the only downside is that the battery isnt hte greatest . in a full charge , i get about 7-8 hours on moderate use . the galaxy S is notorious for bad software and horrible support . the gps on my vibrant still aint working :( . the pentile display annoys me .
