  • My drums Simmons SDSV

  • @SimmonsDrums Mine too ;D

  • @photosynthesi you're too Simmons SDSV brain and pads??

  • diese 12 spacken sind bestimmt solche die so ne techno kacke !

  • 12 leute die kein sinn für gute musik haben!

  • @hsver1994 absolut! du hast so was von recht!!

  • Richard Page was an amazing singer as this live performance shows. This was back when true talent ruled the day, instead of the "talent" we have now who are are all packaging and no substance.

  • I saw him on Sunday, 10th July with Ringo Starr and his allstar Band in Düsseldorf/ Germany. He was great <3

  • I like Mr. Mister, but does anyone else think the singer is biting on Sting's style? Maybe that was more the record company pushing that image.

  • @corganb Nah - Sting was far more flamboyant. Both had short, blonde hair, cut in somewhat similar shape but not styled identically. Here's a photo on imdb of Sting appearing in Dune -- Sting's raised arms in this shot are for dramatic visual effect; Richard Page's raised arms while singing the Kyrie introduction are for dramatic vocal effect -- raising the arms like that opens the chest and creates a different vocal sound.

  • I take that back, it sounds live, and 'well-polished'.

  • It sounds "canned".

  • Remember when singers had to actually be able to sing? Awesome!

  • Very good Live!

  • Why are all the good 1980s songs on Youtube in shitty quality or being deleted while absolute garbage from modern "musicians" like Kesha or Amy Craphouse is allowed to stay here!/ WTF!?

  • @cawimmer430 i agree this new music is a crock of shit and people who like it are silly and im being polite

  • where are the 80's???

  • Richard Page is an awesome singer!

  • chorus:

    "well it's amazing..."

    and it is

  • Love it. Happy days they were.

  • Such a shame i was born in 95'

    Wish i was there

  • This is probably my #1 80's song!

  • back in the 80's people could actually sing.

  • Wow, didn't expect the live performance to be this good. Truly impressive.

  • Dude, I was here!! I skipped school (I was a senior) and got my ass beat for doing it. Whatever, it was worth it, these guys were killer.

  • @tonepoet KYRIE ELEISON, KYRIE ELEISON (LORD HAVE MERCY, LORD HAVE MERCY) I bet you did (get your butt kicked) and bet they were (worth an ass kickin'). You were getting a education of another kind - you should've told your teachers and school admin. that. :) :) :) lol lol

  • "Kyrie eleison" is sung at all Catholic Masses but it is actually Greek.

  • I wish I had been at this concert :-)

  • difficult question for 80s freaks: is that rob fisher (of ClimieFisher) in the background appearing left from the drummer? who knows!? did Climie Fisher also play on that venue?????

  • Kyrie eleison is actually Latin for "Lord have mercy." We sing it at our Latin Mass.

  • Que excelente Recuerdo,....esto es Musica con clase!!

  • Mr MIster just released a new album on their site LittleDumeRecordings

  • so good.

  • 2:55 who remember those cameras? lol

    The 80's gooooooddd goooooddd memories

  • This is my favorite song ever ¡¡, Mr2 is my favorite band too.

More videos of Mr. Mister in richardpagemusic com, click Mr. Mister.

  • One of the greatest pieces of music ever made!

  • Man I so would love to go back in time for that beach concert and I'm only 28.. F*cking what a day I would have had..!!!!

  • The national anthem of

    Tatooine, the so called

    "Skywalker Hymn".

    What else??

  • Amazing performance, amazing voice!

  • Playing a Yamha five string in '86..now tht is ahead of its time..

    Leslie

  • I was at this show in Daytona and it was Great.

  • @ronpen123 I'm so jealous..

  • His voice is AWESOME!!!

  • This is truly one of the greatest songs of that decade. The Lord has blessed Richard Page, he has to be the best male vocalist I've ever heard.

  • Amazing singer.

  • very Good live vocal. Also drums simmons sds 5.

  • "Kyrie Eleison" is Latin for "Lord Have Mercy." They use it in Catholic masses.

  • @birddoc47 it's greek. trust me

  • @1054grams ...I respectfully disagree but it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong. :D

  • @birddoc47 They do use it in mass, and it does mean "Lord Have Mercy", but it is Greek, not Latin.

  • I think Kyrie Eleison are beautiful words. I remember asking my dad what it meant and he said it's Greek for Lord Have Mercy.

  • He has a high C to pick up rhythm... During droning guitar solos. So much frakking cooler than the mud bone B(imho)!

  • yeaaaaaaa .

  • Listen to His voice in the opening of this song. Look at His outstretched hands and arms. He was pronouncing a blessing upon the crowd. "Kyrie Eleison" is Greek for LORD HAVE MERCY!!! They had no idea. I wonder how many lives were affected for the good, by His actions? The crowd was worshiping God and didn't even know it! LOVE IT!!!

  • Great voice

  • Back when bands and singers played and sang.......They didnt have their little ear pieces telling them where in the song they were to keep up with their lip syncing.....Its funny how now when one of those little ear buds act up it seems like the "artists" cant continue performing without it. They need to bring back more performers and quit selling us the BS that they call performers now days.

  • @kcstepp92 I agree with you about todays music etc! and also I am a big fan of Mr Mister! but its worth pointing out that this performance was not totally live!.....Lead vocal is live, Guitar is Live, Bass is live, Keys are live and finally drums are live, BUT the drummer is hooked up to a click track so he can keep in time with the backing track, which features electronic drum loop, plus sequenced keyboards and also backing vocals to make the chorus's stronger.....

  • I dont feel this is cheating on their part because this track was written to have that big massive chorus, and you couldnt get that sounded live, their just aint enough voices on that stage! and the keyboard player just dont have enough pairs of hands!

  • @Dgh1234cba your totally right. If all these new rapper bastards can use digital samples live then having a couple extra vocal tracks to pull of those beastin harmonies is fine. What about queen also, bohemian rhapsody, the part that they do play live if pre recorded and no-one gives a flying fuck. Mr Mister are amazing, i wish they brought a few more albums out like!

  • Godness me! He's got a fantastic voice. Powerful

  • One of the most epic songs ever.

  • I saw them here in Cali. Great time. Intro gives you chills. Powerful buildup. great music.

  • Wow!

I love this song. Inder the sun and blue sky, beside the sea, this song suits them very much!

Thank you very much to upload!

  • Great, great!!!!

  • That was music!! Back when strats had floyd roses!! I wish i was there

  • "Take care of yourselves and Love each other!"

  • I will *NEVER* get tired of this song. Ever.

It's amazing that Sting became such a huge star and Richard never did. Such an amazing voice.

  • So few people sound this good live. Awesome. One of my favorite songs of all time. Thanks for posting an awesome video.

  • Listen to his VOICE! Like, damn. This was back then when you had to a) write quality pop compositions like this and b) be able to sing and play.

  • @samsamba08 SO VERY TRUE

  • They sounded so GREAT on the radio. If Richard had had a little bit more stage presence this band would have ruled the 80s and maybe the 90s too. It's a real shame no-one plays their songs anymore. All we get is Stayin' Alive and Workin' Class Man... not that those aren't good songs but variety is a great thing!!!

  • 0:52 massive 80's drumsound!!

  • wow -- dude got a hella good voice .....

  • Richard is going out on tour this summer with Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band. check out Ringo's website for tour details. I can't wait!

  • POCA SU PUTA MADRE!!!!!!

  • Best band of all the 80s in my opinion. And they had the hottest ever singer!!!! I am so sad that Mr Mister split up.

  • Alot of people don't even realize that it's a religious song. :P

  • Why did I miss this time? I guess too dumb and too frightened. My God what I missed and cannot go back to.

  • The last of my 'Pages' CD collection is due to arrive today. I think I will have just about everything Richard has recorded. I can't get enough of that voice, that passion and that amazing musician. I recently downloaded the acoustic stuff he released on iTunes. Heartwarming and gorgeous!!

    RICHARD WE MISS YOU!!!!!

  • @83Brokenwings, LOL!!! I've been wanting to clone Richard Page since 1985!! lol. GORGEOUS guy, inside and out. SEXXYYYYYY. lol

  • I used to have this whole Dayton Spring Break concert on video when it was shown on MTV in 1986, and watched it constantly. I was obsessed with Richard Page and Mr. Mister. To this day I still have to listen to their CD's on a regular basis to get my "fix." LOL. Long live Mr. Mister and the 80's!!!!! :)

  • Thank you for showing your extreme non-knowledge of, performing, music, and putting songs on the internet. I would love to hear your music. If there is any???

  • what an incredible jackass we have here. Mr. Mister is without question, one of the most AMAZING bands of the century. You wouldn't recognize talent if it byotch slapped you in your clown head. You are still listen to Nirvana, the heroin band with the dead singer. nice, jackass!

  • wow..... his voice is amazing and what an awesome song.... 10 stars on this one!

  • Yeah this was back when dudes in bands actually had to know how to sing well. Great tune!

  • Spring Break '86! God bless GOD! And God bless SEX!

  • so good to see/hear them again. miss the era so bad!

  • Thx. for posting this memory of the most fantastic era for progressive atmospheric and riveting music. Memories of a better time (in my mind anyhow,) before the shit and misery of 9/11, the evil of the bush era and all the other mediocre crap which made the noughties a decade of dickhead decadence. I wish I could back to the time 1975- 1989, when motorcyles had spokes and kickstarts, you could buy 4star, play records on a Pioneer Pl12, smoke inside a greasy spoon cafe not worrying about a diet..

  • 0:05 - 0:12 = Mr. Mister performs Tiger Wood's excorsism to rid him of sleazy affairs and sex addiction

  • @sebbbo77 lol! that's kinda funny, although I doubt Mr Mister would go near Tiger Woods with a ten foot barge pole let alone a Bible lol!!!! Who would? I'm a girl and I wouldn't touch that if it was the last man on earth!!!

  • Kyrie eleyzon down the re-hab road that tiger must travel ... Kyrrrrieeee Eleyzon through the countless sluts and prowesses of the niiiiiight

  • @sebbbo77 sluts exactly!! what decent woman would touch that asshole?

  • OOOOH YEAH!! This is what a live performance is meant to be. Excellent vid. Thanks for posting it.

  • Pure talent. Pure class. Pure 80s !! This is what music should be all about. A unifying force among the people. A force to "expand" the mind. Nowdays its all pimps n' hos. Back then it was TALENT, initiative, public good will, egalitarianism and respect for democratic freedoms. Now days its the "idol" effect, commercialized musak, Britney Spears and BEE ON SAYYY. BRing back REAL music like this !!
  • @phileustace I'd love to see this whole live performance!

  • @phileustace lol bee on sayyy

  • Thanks a million for posting this

  • The title's meaning is as old as Christ, the song is a pure joy to hear....

  • What a voice...GOD...what ever happened that Page doesn't sing anymore???? I love this song and this band...

  • Reminds me of why the 80's were so f+ckin' awesome. Records had great intro's and outro's, 12" mixes were remixes that bore some resemblance to the original, and groups like this produced powerhouse tracks that today would knock the socks off most bands/vocalists........and synths ruled the day! God, the intro chords to this track are orgasmic.

  • @littlenige

The 70s and 80s were awesome. Early 1990s was good to. Music today is just crap. Plain crap. Look at the untalented shitheads performing these days. Amy Craphouse? Justin Beaver? Tokio Motel? Dear fucking Lord...

  • I love that line, "It reaches in to where I cannon hide, setting my feet upon the road!" Nice.

  • I wish there was such a thing as cloning, I'd clone Richard Page lol!!! Well he's so cute! Every household should have one LOL!!!!!!! joking aside, i just think this is the greatest song like, ever!!!!!!!

  • LOVE this song! When it first came out very few people knew it was a religious song. :P It's just plain good rock n roll. :)

  • where is broken wings from the same concert,,,cannot find

  • Page has an AMAZING melodic voice! One of the most underrated males vocalists of the time. Wonderful range, power, and emotion. Wish they would reform for a reunion tour!

  • reminds me of when I got sober

  • Damn... Even sounds great live...

  • I love hearing this such a nice music way back in 80's...

  • looks like an awesome concert there on the beach

  • And what a crying shame that was, they coulda been phenomenally big. They were ALL talented and ALL good looking, obviously Page was the cutest lol!

  • OMG this sounds soooooo good!!

  • What an amazing voice

  • cool gorgeous and talented..what else is there to say...

  • gives me shivers everytime I hear this amazing INTRO! Page's singin his soul out, that's what music should be about...

  • say what you will about the 80's, at least they could sing live..fantastic

  • Thanks Rojojo!

  • bueniiisiima versión!!!! por diosss!!!!

  • 80s, the best. Mr. Mister were awesome, you can't go wrong with amazing songs like this. Proper music! :)

  • Dude's got a good voice, catchy tune, whatever happened to them?

  • One album and two Top 40s after Kyrie, the group worked on a fourth album that was never released. After a fight with their record company, Mr. Mister didn't live to see 1990.

  • Tantos recuerdos se vienen a la mente, ese año 1987 fueron muy hermosos, tantas anècdotas.Todolo q puede hacer una canciòn tan linda, ademàs de la excelente voz. Gracias mr.mister.rafael taboada.lima peru

  • massive drumfill at 0:52 !!!

  • I'm embarassed to admit it, but Stopped playing Fender basses to get Yamaha because of Mr Mister. I thought they were so cool.

  • Stay embarresed I hope a nice warm sweet Fender is at home again :-)

  • I'd have to say this is my favorite song of Mr. Mister. They had an album in '87 called Go On... but for some reason it didn't make the same splash that Welcome to the Real World did two years earlier. Try listening to Watching the World from their '87 album. That song should have made it big but for some strange reason didn't.

  • Creo en ti Señor, Kyrie Eleison!!

  • gosh he can SANG! Love Mr. Mister!

  • I think the 80's were the most inventive decade ever. Technology took off big time. Synths, guitar synths, electronic drums. Musicians became programmers. Bands like this came along with their rich gorgeous synths, processed guitar riffs. Suddenly it wasn't just about the song or message - the actual 'sound' became an entity to sell a song by itself. Modern day synths can bring me to tears by themselves - the ethereal sounds are indescribably beautiful.

  • @littlenige Very well put. 80s music has the most amazing sounds and textures that make the hair stand up on the back of your neck and lifts you to another place!

  • Well, bleedingmuledeer, if you think that, why do you watch vids like this. I don't think all todays artists are brats, not at all. My opinion is, good bands don't make it today, there is so much overlooked talent, and garbage like Lady Gaga gets to number one!!

  • do you think that by chance you are a bit biased. maybe you like this music for the things you associate with it. you might have listened to this when you were a teen. teens listen to current music that you call crap. did your parents think the same of your music in the 80's? i am not saying that this music is better or worse than the stuff made now, but for you to say that the new stuff is bad is way out of line

  • This is so good it hurts! Great band...... great singer!

  • this is when American music was made by ANGELS for angels and not by MONKEYS for monkeys.

This is modern homo sapiens music,rap-hip hop-numetal-emo-grunge is primitive noise for chimps!

  • margix, you are spot on there! Glad to see I'm not alone in hating the crud they manufacture today! I feel sorry for real artists like Page, Lou Gramm, etc, even soul artists like Aretha, when music is so undermined by the classless brats making music today!

  • You're absolutely not alone,I think many people are realizing what real music means, what we need is newer good bands.

Probably you already know Work of Art,they are really as good as Mr Mister,Toto etc...

If you don't try to discover them,I think their debut album is a real masterpiece :-)

  • Soon after this song, Mr. Mister practically disappeared from the music scene.

  • It's currently translated to mean Lord have mercy.

I just stumbled upon this video in my travels thru youtube. I used to love this song and Broken Wings.

  • Revelation Song & Vocal

  • NICE PIPES!!!!!

  • One of the best songs of the 80's, absolutely brilliant !!

  • Great song! Mr. Mister rocks!

  • I love this song. I listen to it when i'm feeling blue to give me hope...I love when Richard hits the high note...nobody can do that now! It's all, shakin' yo' ass' and 'let's f**k!'....this was CLASS!!!!

  • Ok...I m Greek and i can say that Kyrie eleison means excactly Lord help us....It's ancient greek.....

  • I dont know what it is but Mr Mister:s music allways makes me feel good....

  • This song is awesome!! Really makes me miss the 80's. :-( It's kinda strange, hearing 80's music on the local oldies station. (It's not old to me!!)

  • Kyrie Eleison Kyrie Eleison..Kyrie!

    WONDERFUL STUFF

    I LOVE MISTER MISTER!

  • Watching this performance and others like it always manages to cause bittersweet emotions to surface. It makes me long for that era so bad that is actually makes me depressed. If only we could turn back the clock.

  • I know how you feel man.

    Hang in there.

The 80s will return ONE day !!

  • You are so right!!!

This music sound so young and fresh. It sounds even younger than todays youngets youngest youngest music. :)

  • THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD

  • HELL YEAH!

  • wow what a voice!

  • This is so magical.

This is 80's at its PEAK !!

    I love this video.

What an amazing time the 80s were.

A summers day in 1986, on the beach...

and hearing one of the BEST 80s tracks

of all time !! Fantastic !! A heavenly day !!

  • AMEN !!!! ;)

  • A simpler time, right? I grew up in the 70's, and was in my 20's during the 80's. They were both great era's for sure!

  • Mr. Mister rocks!

    great song!

  • Kyrie Eleison

    Christe Eleison

    Kyrie Eleison

    Dominus Vobiscum.

  • it means lord have mercy, it's greek, and my dad is a prist who says it every sunday and befor every meal

  • This song will forever be one of the best and a great performance. 80s music is the bomb!

  • what is eleison?

  • Kyrie Eleison in Greek means "Lord Have Mercy" or something along those lines

  • Kyrie Elaison means "Lord Be With You"

  • All the translations I see say, "Lord Have Mercy."

I like that he says take care of yourselves, love each other, at the end. Such a good band, good heart, good music!

  • que buena cancion, la mejor decada

  • As great as some bands can be, it's too bad that they don't improvise enough, like let a guy do a solo.

  • that chord on 30 seconds with Rich's vocals is absolutely spot on, brilliant band, no wonder he was a sought after session musician
