  • wow where did you get the 700m

  • @Huffdev It was donated to me.

  • is one a usa version an is the other one a german version or something like that

  • What's the cause of a different pitch click? Is it the geiger counter or the different model speaker?

  • Different speakers.

  • Thanks.

  • nice sound

  • dude, that's your site!?!?! Man I love that place!!!

  • @vanamonde2 I have my CDV-700 6b and my background w/o any source hovers around 33 'clicks' or counts per minute... Does that mean my background is rather a tiny bit higher than normal, my gieger counter is off a little bit or I am just stupid and I am confusing the measurements and 33 is normal?

  • @nukesvids My background has always been 50-60ish clicks/minute here in north texas with any 700 I have had over the years.

  • @vanamonde2 Okay, so I will not die from rad poisoning.

  • cdv-700m!!! Damn where did you get it and what did it cost? :)¨¨

  • It was a donation, along with 2 others, from a state for my online museum site.

  • Where in the world did you find the CD-V-705s?! And you have two! The nerve...lol

  • Yeah. Well. You know how it is.....

  • Yes I'm talking about the 700M or other counters that are capable of detecting alpha.

  • what does the clicking mean i'v never understood

  • When ionizing radiation (gamma and beta) passes through the detector tube it causes current to flow through the tube. The circuit in the instrument produces the audio output which are the clicks you hear. Each click you hear is caused by an individual alpha, beta particle or gamma ray passing through the tube.

  • oh i didn't know

  • OMG V 705s! I envy you., they're impossible to find now.

  • How far is the indicator from the counter during the introduction. Background sounded a little high.

  • At :40 in the video I say that the indicator is about even with the camera. The camera was about 18 inches away from the 700s
