f1 is terrible to what it was years ago, all these new tracks are ruining the sport, u look at one of the best and most entertaining races in the last number of years and it was in canade, a cracking circuit, if u break a second too late ur into the wall
I love how cars were hard to drive and drivers still wouldnt care, low downforce and braking on wet tarmac without inters is something we dont see nowadays
@Matth360 Istanbul is far and away the best of the newer circuits. All of the others look nice..... but the races themselves are dry. Just follow the leader and wait for the pit stops.
Two old track they loved to race on was Zandvoort (Netherlands) and the old Österreichring (Austria) which sadly got modified beyond recognition to become the A1-ring.
What Ecclestone has done to his franchise is beyond criminal. F1 has lost so much, it's become a feaking circus, the courses that are worthy have been scrapped, it's now just a facade, a big money Potemkin Village............. So "Vegas".
sweet sounds from a sweet engine in a sweet car. Mika's a great driver too. and man, that thing was SIDEWAYS through the stadium section towards the end!
Current F1 needs more high speed circuits like old hockenheim, and Monza. I'm tired of seeing F1 going to Asian tracks with nobody in the grandstands.
Yes I did, and did you also notice that when Buemi had his weird accident and one of the tires went into a viewing area, nobody was hurt because nobody was probably sitting there lol!! Shanghai's lack of attendance saved somebody's life lol
@Rivelution agreed, as well as that the new tracks are all flat and featurless and you know that are not going to be any dramatic crashes or incidents. compare spa as a track to bahrain.
used to love hockenheim before they fucked it up. it used to have character - great racing with cars slip streaming through the forests. long time ago now...
I loved the old Hockenheim circuit....hate how they ruin every old school circuit and replace it with shit. I loved the fact becuse hockenheim was such a long circuit....when it rained there were parts that very completely dry and parts that were a wash
Anyone who is idiot enough to question how much these guys earn should watch clips like this...supreme control in the wet at 300kph...footballers can't even begin to imagine earning their money through such danger, focus and skill.
wow great car control by mika at the stadium seccion. And BTW this is an old hockenheim circuit, so it´s not european gp but german gp 2000. Anyway thx for uploading, it´s great to hear those old V10 engines and see classic old hockenheim circuit again. I miss it.
@babelxxx; pls change the title of this video.... in 2000 the Europe GP took place at the Nürburgring, this is Hakkinens Qualifing for the Germany GP

At old hockenheim and monza, v10 engines reach 360kmh !
Current v8's hardly reach 330kmh with smaller engines and shorter straights.
I used to get "excited" hearing an formula1 car, not anymore.

the only good and old tracks that still on F1 in my opinion is Monza,Spa Francorchamps and Interlagos(because i'm brazilian).
the rest tracks(except Instanbul) are only nice, and other tracks are crap.

@Matth360 not to forget the legendary Monaco and suzuka that's still a decent circuit. oh yeah plus Montreal, that usually produces exiting races.
