this is "beauty" about $cientology.... this first step to communication and allow man to be or feel cleaver ....for 2 or3 months....then there is that moment.... cause people love to think they are good, and they are cleaver..... then when you bait it....you are gone..... NO ONE can say that this ARC - communication thing does not work, but in "ideal" world!! cause when man do not buy your TR training, you just say he is SP!!! and this is how it works-you are right,or he is SP!!!

@bogglerful i am sorry, but the "reporters" on the Daily Show don't know enough about Scientology to tell you what it truly is. They are comedians. Find "What is Scientology?" in library.
@patphatcat I went to the library and read some books on Scientology. One was called 'L. Ron Hubbard, Messiah or Madman?' (written by a Class VIII auditor), and then read 'Barefaced Messiah' (written by a respected journalist), and, by the way, I'm an ex-Scientologist, and have audited up to what is called "NOTs," plus I knew many "old timers," and also knew two of L. Ron Hubbard's children. So, thank you, but I know what Scientology truly is. It's a trap.
@patphatcat Nothing went wrong. Hubbard designed it to be a trap. I don't know what to say except that I'm sorry that you haven't realized that yet. Wish you the best.
Every post paid envelope you can find from scientology & Dianetics. Fill it with a print out of Xenu Leaflet. Than tape it to a brick and send it back as a response. Best way to protest. Tell all your friend to do this. The church of scientology will have a huge mail bill and each letter opened will free one of their members. Once you red Xenu leaflet they kick you out automatically. Tell as many people as you can. Power of the many. A million people send bricks back that should do something.
I find it concerning that Hardeep was unable to realize he was being programmed throughout this video. That whole, getting words you do not "fully" understand "defined" is a response and reward scenario. Repeat, repeat, mind numbing tests and trails in order to ware down your resolve. Then they use positive feedback, tell you things you want to hear - use your own insecurities against you and create a justification for your fears. It's manipulation at it's most basic, he played right into it.
The problem with this is that he saw NOTHING of what scientology really is. He had what, a few weeks of crash courses? Hasn't even scratched the surface. Most critics will even agree that in the beginning, scientology does have some good things to offer. But then comes the bait and switch. And sadly, by time that comes, it's too late.
@mikejulie4 He's at freezones, they are NOT associated with the CoS. In fact, they're declared SP's by the CoS for defecting. The Freezoners DO NOT squeeze you of your entire bank account nor do they force you or coerce you into giving your entire life up for it. There is a fundamental difference between the two. They are pretty much the Protestants of Scientology and there's a right in this world to believe what you choose to believe.
Having someone talking about personal stuff and not really caring about what they're saying to you seems like a very isolating experience. And are the auditors actually trained in any kind of counselling? It seems like a dubious practice to ask people to open up like that without some kind of training beyond how to work an e meter.
scientology is dangerous to scientologists and critics. ask lisa mcpherson and shawn lonsdale. david miscavage beats his staff. 99% of what hubbard taught was a lie propped up by 1% of truth. OTIII is the true bit
this was very interesting....but I would like to see the inner workings of an actual church of scientology. Why are the freezones condemed by scientologist? Why is the topic of aliens taboo if this is what they believe? If they truly want to help everyone, why all the secrets?
At any rate, i truly enjoyed this documentary, a light approach at looking in on a touchy subject. Thank you for posting.
I trust the freezone... it enables Hubbards teachings to operate independently from institutional dogma (something the Church of Scientology thrives on)!
To allow the Church of Scientology to function freely is dangerous as the record has shown. How you can practice as a decenralized group towards self-realization (not to mention the opportunity to have choice as to which group works best) is worthy of being allowed to operate!
CoS still mercilessly handle squirrels (i.e. the Freezone)
Im not a fan of putting one giant basket the CoS vs FZ is a bit of a quirky issue it if one determines one to have determinetal effects it can also be the type of organisation not to mention the possible negative effects of organized religions. even if one treats the negative efects of OR as just a view, it still ads a ±. and if one reggects it one non the less needs to excuse things like fundamentalism as not related to such an effect.[not to mention other things.
i have experienced every step in this process; taking courses, and auditing with the e-meter.
i disagree with comments; "the same results can be achieved whilst sharing your issues with your friend".
my experience with scientology and l rons teachings: it is an exact science and should be treated as such. professional auditors know how to read the meter; how to ask the questions, how to delve deeper.
A remarkable insight into Scientology, but also into Hardeep himself. He has a rare ability to share honestly of himself, and that made this enjoyable as well as informative.
Wow, a fairly non-bias view of scientology. This is deffinatly very interesting! I think it shows every religion can help people but also has the power to ruin people.
I was a Scientology staff member for a year. In spite of the good points of Scientology, having been around people who were suppose to have arrived at higher levels of consciousness, I became disillusioned after seeing my friend fall under the illusion she could leave her body. We tested her claim, on three occasions to see if what she was seeing had any connection to reality, and it turned out her ability was only in her head. In the real world she couldn't do it.
Nice piece Hardeep, though I'd hasten to point out that the "light headedness" of your auditing session could be the physiological reaction of giving breath to your own emotional pains. One can feel the same relief through crying, a couselor's session, through confession, through any number of means. LRH's tech seems to prey upon the basic concept of catharsis. (And yes, the left turn down bizarre street is there. See: Xenu)
That seemed to be a fair and honest documentary. Nice work Hardeep. And by the way, yes, it does eventually take a left turn into 'wierdville street', but gee the introductory stuff is great !
He seems to contradict himself at the end, clearly saying what he has experienced is a good thing and can see it benefits others, then he says Scientology is still a dirty word. I find that strange.
@dynamiteduane that's not a contradiction. he was saying that scientology can help people. but the word itself is still dirty in the PUBLIC PERCEPTION.
Impressive documentary, finally a non-biased view of L.Ron Hubbard's tech, guys in no way is this video supporting the Scientology co-operation but people using the tech outside of the profit-hungry organisation, it kinda all makes sense in the end huh as a form of therapy, I feel we can all learn a lot from this video.
Btw, anyone know the beautiful piece of music at the end?
The question of the matter remains. As we know that some aspects work, do these tools benefit the participant as an individual, or does it benefit the organisation with its authoritarian structure. or both.
All religions, cults etc, believe in the benefits of their unique operation. Disconnection, excommunication are common practices.
I think the question is,.. do the bad sides weigh up against its beneficial sides? And how do you relevate those things?
I also see love bombing here. I'm not fully convinced that freezone tec is any better than reg tec. I'm having a problem with possibly leading members of one cult on to another...
Lol, blatant propoganda, poorly acted but well rehearsed, anyone studying LRH for a short bit will find out that he was a horribly bigoted meglomaniac con (among a dozen other not so great, and some rather creepy, things), I haven't met a Sikh yet who in their right mind would believe Co$'s mind-numbing BS, it is a scam of epic proportions preying on the insecure to milk them for money.
Finally, a first hand account. It seems to me that this is something that helps people. And if it does, leave them alone. The orginizations and "churches" are the ones that should be attacked, not the people.
If it makes them happy, let them be. You can't save if they don't want to be.

Psychiatry is evil and this video proves it. The auditing session does not aim to humiliate the person.........unlike psychiatry which promotes belittlement and makes the subject feel even worse !
what are you ever talking about? have you ever seen a psychiatrist? because I have and no one ever fucking belittled me or made me feel worse. give me a break.
It does nothing of the sort what this video does show is the human face of scientology, if scientology acted like this (free sessions, no creepiness, dishonesty etc) NO ONE would have any problems with it.
They feel towards it as most reasonable people feel towards any belief system; they wouldn't care about it either way unless it did something unpleasant.
The Co$ DOES do unpleasant things so reasonable people find it repulsive.
@Skintologist How the hell could someone honestly believe in aliens rounding up other aliens and plopping them on earth and grouping them 2gether by using hydrogen bombs dropped in volcanoes, sounds like something out of a science fiction novel.....wait a minute....wasnt the founder of scientology a science fiction writer? And people have died because they left scientology. C'mon now
@Skintologist 2 year ago you made this statement on this video.
This is what Scientology is supose to be like. It is not done this way in the Church of Scientology but in Ron's Org / Freezone which is full of good people who were involved in scientology. These Scientologist are not the the same corrupt and criminal offical church managment which causes all the upsets between so many people and the subject.
Hardeep is a great man because he went into Scientology with an open mind and he saw the true side of Scientology. This is the side people on youtube never see. Hardeep is a great man
Finally, an objective look at what these people do. Thank-you. I found it very interesting, and my take is that it's basically a form of thearapy. No wonder psychiatry is looked at as the enemy, because they feel L Ron's techniques can cure all without drugs. I think there's the danger. It's harmless to a point, but they need to recognize its limitations.
I've read where there is a physiological explanation for low currents running through your body causing a euphoric feeling.
What I am referring to are some articles that have attributed the euphoric feeling that people report after undergoing hours of auditing, to the ADDED micro-currents the e-meter is sending through the body. There are some studies that suggest applying low-level currents does have some physical effect on the body and can result in a feeling of well being. It might even become a little addictive - maybe explaining why some end up spending all their money on this stuff.
if you walk or run for several hours, you feel the same. you also feel fucked, as did hardeep.
i dont think LRon had the foresight to predict ANY physilogical reactions from anything. it is pure coincidence IF that IS the case. It's lie-detector aided brainwashing. End Of Story.
This is really nothing but self-help garbage that dares to call itself a religion. Self-help garbage crafted from the mind of a science fiction writer who dabbled in hypnosis and black magic.
To the journalist of this feature: Hardeep - you got suckered. Scientology is a bait and switch cult. At first, it might seem like you got something out of it. That's the hook that will get you in. Slowly, but surely, you will get suckered in to more (paid) courses and Scientology brainwashing. Eventually, you'll lose your identity to the Scientology way. Then comes the "disconnect" from family and friends, and then you only have other cult members for support. Then you are lost for good.
Are you fucking stupid? This is the Freezone, they're not part of Scientology. In fact, the Freezone are banned members that want to practice their tech. It's FREE, dumbfuck. Learn to research before you blindly post shit.
Yeh, my mistake there. I still think it's a form of bait and switch brain washing cult though. It's full of mind numbing and hypnotic repetition and pseudo science.
btw, you know you can argue without being a total 'tard, right? Try it. People might even give you some respect for once.
@jamiekin. If by "loosing your identity" you mean loosing your -outstanding aberrations- like pervertion, corruption and irresponsibility then you´re certainly right. Aberration is contagious just as any other careless addiction or disease, and keeping away from such "groovy-circles" doesn´t necessarily mean disconnecting from your good friends and family. If you´re doing ok with your life, friends and society congratulations!
what is the definition of 'freezone'? (is it free?)
after watching (compulsively) all the videos i could find on scientology, I think that CLEARLY, this doc is one of the best. True, it seems that Hubbard, Miscavage et al ARE up to no good...but at the same time, your parallels to psychology sessions make alot of sense....but as Hardeep says....'Scientology IS still a dirty word. admittedly, I have a copy of dianetics and, to be honest, it seems like alot of nonsense psychobabble.

It's in human nature to admit things to others.
It's a form of both becoming closer with another person and relieves a great deal of stress
examples of this are found in auditing, confessionals, and psychiatry
scientology demotes phsychiatry so it's followers do not decrease, and their profit sustains.
the problem with auditing is that it traps it's Costumers, while both psychiatry and literally every other church in the world is Free.
Auditing also clearly uses the same methods as auditing

This comment has received too many negative votes show
The auditing session was not as creepy as the "media" makes it seem. From my experience, this seems more pleasant than a trip to a psychologist.

what is the definition of 'freezone'? (is it free?)
after watching (compulsively) all the videos i could find on scientology, I think that CLEARLY, this doc is one of the best. True, it seems that Hubbard, Miscavage et al ARE up to no good...but at the same time, your parallels to psychology sessions make alot of sense....but as Hardeep says....'Scientology IS still a dirty word. admittedly, I have a copy of dianetics and, to be honest, it seems like alot of nonsense psychobabble.

clearly you have been to see a few psychologists. i guess that makes u a perfect canditate for scientology then.
and as the therapy obviously didnt work for you, its easy to see why u would support a cult that opposes psychology.
