  • I winded my Hi Cap Mag on my M4A1 and the mag won't click after I had winded it for about 45 seconds to a minute? Should I stop winding it and just wind it again whenever it stops shooting bb's? I don't want to break my mag because I only have one right now!

  • @iCaliber93 There's a bit of discrepancy here, but most hi-cap mags require you to wind it about 40-50 times before you start firing. Although, like I said, magazines are different in this regard. You ought to feel the gear on the bottom of the magazine get harder and harder to turn as well. Some magazines have a sort of a relief gear in them, where it jumps a cog in the magazine gear box to prevent over winding.

  • what if you already went past the click with no bb's in it? how do i fix it? please respond! i really need help!

  • @harrypikletrunzo then nothing is wrong....

    just put bb's in it....

  • Perfect video, very helpful thank you.

  • no top comments...this is my chance! uuhhhh monkey fucks

  • also it has clockwork tension not spring

  • my hi cap mag stops shooting after 5 shots how can i stop this

  • My brother has a tommy gun and the magizine wheel wont release. Help?

  • dose it matter what magazine i get for my new assault rifle.

  • @xxxKROS5xxx Really depends.

  • How do u know when u have to rewind it

  • @SovietPenguinz You usually dont until the tube is empty, by which you will realize when your gun stops firing bb's and the noise gets higher pitched and louder.

  • Do you have to fill the mag all the way in order for it to work? like could you just put like 60 rounds in for testing it out? PLEASE RESPOND SOMBODY

  • @TeeTownVideos Doesn't need to be full to capacity, put in 100 or so rounds and you will get a few bursts out of it ;)

  • @KeithHPOW how come on my hi cap mag it only shoots like 5 shots then stops then i have to wind it

  • @thedogthat1eatstoast You can just Wind it a little bit more, your suppose to anyways. When the bb's come up to the top of the Mag just keep on winding it until you hear a click, or you could just wind it for about 15 to 20 seconds. Don't keep on winding it after you hear the click or you could break the mag.

  • @thedogthat1eatstoast Well I'm not actually sure about it breaking the mag, but it could so I wouldn't take that chance. I hope my advice was of any help? :-)

  • Thanks very informative....more vids..keep it goin whatever info u can give...

  • I have a question, is it bad to leave mags with their springs on full tension? I thought that it was and I used the little button on top of the mag to empty the BB's and release spring tension, but now it seems that the spring isn't working at all

  • @MrCellodude Any spring compressed does loose its tension. You should empty the magazine when not going to use.

  • For the Sturmgewehr 44 :D

  • holy schneiki, this dude sounds like soap mactavish from modernwarfare 2

  • iam german and i love how you say sturmgewer :D i think you say it realy good !

  • Thanks I need this I'm not so good at airsoft and I'm going to an air soft arena with friends and I needed to see what a winder is so I don't look like a dumb ass when I'm out of ammo thanks!

  • You Scottish are nuts over airsoft! Awesome!

  • i use hi caps as mid caps if that makes no sense then this is good for people who dont like the rattle in the hi caps u wind da mag fully than dump the remaining bbs in the chamber in to another mag that way its like a 250 round mid cap

  • Great vid, i've always had a rought idea of how they worked but now I know for sure!

  • you could use the key why u was setting uo the mags

  • when i use my high cap mag the last amount of bbs don't fire. is this normal?

  • @ViaLaBam25 yeah if theres like 10-15 left the spring wont carry them up.

  • i took my hi cap m4 mag apart to clean it and the coil in the gear that winds the mag up un-spooled can u make a vid on how to re-spool a hi cap mag

  • if u have a capacity of 190 bb's, what is it? high cap goes until 185 and high cap starts at 200

  • my god ur an awesome airsofters , i cant believe some of my fav airsofters are from the same country as me

  • so do you have to wind it up after each shot? or is it wind up, shoot and the whole line is used then wind up?

  • Lol, no wonder my hi-cap only shot like 10 rounds before i had to wind again, i thought i had to stop winding when i saw the bb's at the top!

  • @KeithHPOW is there a way to fix the spring in a highcap mag? cause on my m4 mag, the BB's arent going up through the mag

  • can a APS high cap magazine work in a UHC gun

  • One question. I noticed when I wound my mag up, and put it in my gun, then it seemed to make a noise that sounded like fast unwinding. Does this mean I shouldn't do this before my mag is in the gun? i automatically assumed it unwound, so I wound again. I forget to check...You know the answer to my question?

  • excellent explantions, thankyou

  • I'm not sure if this is a problem, but I own 3 mp5 high caps and in each one when there are only 20-25 bbs left in the mag i try to wind it and they wont reach the top. Is this because there arent enough bbs to push the remaining bbs to the top or is this a problem with the mags?

  • if i dont use all of the bbs in the feeding well, should i release them before i put my stuff away??

  • mid caps are great

  • @TheZ3ROifY no, deafaid.

  • what is a ratcheting magazine?

  • im such a noob at this but can you use any high cap for any m4 or m16? plz respond

  • @conver1000 mostly yes. Some mags don't feed is some guns, some don't fit right. Go on Arnie's Airsoft forum and ask them which magazines work for whatever manufacturers gun, the guy's there will help you out. And why you're they're, they have a 'dumb question' thread in the newbie discussion sub-forum, anything else you wanna know or are curious about you can ask in that thread without embarrassment, we wont bite ;)

  • @fearthegeeklord ok i went there, thanks for the website, but those guys are experts with the good quality guns, they dont probably think what im talking about

  • @conver1000 only ones that are made for the m4 or m16 you can bye them in airsoft world and places like that :)

  • @therocker188 your mag is broken, I have the same problem. You can try and fix it by opening it up and resetting the spring or check for any problems, but i dont know how to open thompson mags.

  • mag working fine no thnx for vid

  • Thank you! Really helped al lot !

  • 6 people dont have speed loaders

  • Is there a way to relese the spring or do you just not worry about it?

  • when put my mag in my gun, it doesn't shoot. I don't think BBs are going into the feed tube. When i manually load them into the small tube, the gun will shoot, but only upside down! suggestions?

  • @hackerhaterhugo did you keep turning untill the click??

  • @hackerhaterhugo you need to fill the mag completely.

  • @hackerhaterhugo the same thing happened to my airsoft gun mag i don't know what happened.

  • @hackerhaterhugo buy a new mag :)

  • @hackerhaterhugo dude i have the exact same prblem with the magazine, it shoots very little so i was guessing that the spring is like loose, do u know how to fix it, i have a m85 airsoft magazine

  • @hackerhaterhugo the spring has probobly come out or gotten stuck

  • @hackerhaterhugo me too!!

  • is the winding key also called a magazine key or is that different, cuz i saw a gun i want and it comes with a magazine key. so would i have to use that, or can i stroke the bottom thats easier

  • hey i took my mag apart, and now i have a small piece that is a small metal circle about the size of a bb that has a cross across it with a gap in the direct middle and without this, the mag now wont mag. help!

  • If I used a winding key I'd tie it to the gun-never lost, always on hand.

  • i just over wind my magazine

  • poor mid caps there deprest and when they shoot your frends they get happy agen

  • damn i love scottish accent

  • couse they think there's a genny in their mag?? xD

  • U no that if u wind till it like clicks that u can shoot about the whole mag

  • how works airsoft guns????

  • poor spring, being depressed. NIce vid, cheers for the explanation

  • You missed a large difference, the reason i personaly us my 82round mid caps. Hi cap magazines rattle like crazy and so u can never be stealthy, but mid-caps are silent and so you can be steathy, also mid caps can be fired in quick succession allowing you to fire hundreds of rounds quicky without having to stop and wind up ur mag.

  • was verry helpful

  • I stroke my magazine til white BBs come out. .20 gram because they are heavier and faster than those little .12 grams.

  • they rub the mag because its good luck = )

  • @Sporkinator3 haha i get it

  • i wanted to know why they always wind the bottom of the magazines

  • How many bbs can you shoot before having to rewind the hi-cap (the M4 Magazine)

  • @uwiththehair When properly winded up, you should be able to fire about the whole magazine. Perhaps the last 30 rounds might not be able to get out.

  • I have an AGM STG-44 also. I have 2 hi caps, but I need some mid cap for a certain compitition. Where do there sell them if they do and how much??

  • When you use a high cap mag like this, after how many rounds would you have to re-wind the clip

  • I messed up my spring slightly, and emptied the mag. When I put in more pellets, the wind was still "full" and no new pellets can get to where they can get into the gun...What do i do!!??

  • if you keep winding it what will happen if you need to wind it again

    will it stop shooting?

  • My only gun is a g&g m16a3, and I use a 9.6volt 3500mah battery. For some reason, the magazines (I got the 2 free mags summer special at evike) that come with the gun always unwind when I shoot at full auto for more than 2 seconds. After they unwind, I can't even wind them up anymore, I have to pour out all the bbs and reload them, and then it winds. I am thinking about buying more magazines, but if all high caps are like this, then I will buy a mid cap. Please help me!!!

  • wow this is nice i didn't know that about hi-caps hmmmm

  • can the spring break if you keep windung it?

  • @power091000 if overwound it can potentially damage the internal parts or just be so tight the spring wont release

  • @power091000 yes it is called over winding and when that happens the clip can become jammed or broken to un-jam you take a cleaning rod and push the bbs out of the chambers and if it is broken you have to get a new mag

  • @power091000 or you could pull the button back on the top right next to the tube thing that you see at the top and the bbs will fly everywhere

  • which way would you have to wind the mag.

  • @TheNotsolucky7 depends on the mag type

  • I think u can only respect airsoft when someone has a scottish accent! soo bad ass man xD And thx much for the great video! i am getting an JG MP5 and i wanted to know how these hi caps worked!

  • very straight forward info. Good, simple instructions.

  • Thx now u know how it works

  • Really helpful video. I now understand why my gun wont fire anything out!

  • can you show me how to put the magazine back together again for an Echo 1 G36C. I took it apart because something was wrong with it. And now i don't know where two peices go and how to position them. They are the little wheel and that little spring that got together to prevent the spring from unwinding. I don't know where those go. HELP PLEASE

  • the spring in my mag. is very weak (only about 10 bullets push up into the chamber). can anyone tell me how to fix this? i have the kraken aftermath ak47

  • I super glued a allan key in the side of my hi-cap mag in the slot for a key and for the most part that works really well. It fell out once and was a little bit of a pain to put back but i would recommend it for hi-cap mags.

  • thanks will look in to getin a Classic Army Mid caps 120Rd.

  • i like scouthedoggie for the action but these are really good vids for help and stuff and like me looking to try out the sport!! keep it up!!

  • nice clip . could u tell me if i could get a mid or hi cap mag for my double egal m83(m4)

  • Most M4 mags are universal. I recommend Classic Army Mid caps 120Rd.

  • i told all my friends that's how you say sturm-gewher.

  • Sturmgewehr in correct german :)

  • sorry. It's hard to spell it. I am german. :)

  • very nice of you to explain how magizines work to everyone when I'm sure you already have a busy life with all your other videos and RL plans

  • I put my winding key for my AK high-cap on one of those key chains that have the link that you pull out and it self retracts. I've seen them used by janitors and they fit nicely on a belt. Also, the chain is long enough to reach the mag and stll have some left over. So, if you're tired of loosing them, just get an extending/retracting key chain and you'll reduce the risk of loosing the keys.

  • I use 8x mids with the hi-cap that came with it as a back-up, why? realisim, re-loading is much more exciting than 'jacking-off' your mag! TBH, i just hate winding hi-caps, if there was an easier way to load mids, i am sure more folk would use them! also some hi-caps (like mp5 ones) are guff... if you deny this, fair do's, my mate gave up replacing his hi caps! But at the end of the day, airsoft is what you make of it, so use whatever mags you want! As long as you take your hit who cares??

  • i have 6 mid caps for my Star G36C, just got 2 high caps today. got them as it is so arkward filling them up between games

  • yeah its good having a mix of mag types, several mid-caps and a hi-cap or two for when the battle gets intense

  • @KeithHPOW im buying a scorpion aeg with a hi-cap drum mag and a low cap mag

do i have to turn the wheel of the drum msg when reloading

  • i like low caps and mid caps the best personally.

  • @alln1t3whiteboy how? it holds less, and more reloading :D yes, i know its more realistic.

  • B/c i conserve my ammo and i'd rather reload more then run around with rattling of bb's in my vest :p

  • Just some of my thoughts about the realcaps.

I personally prefer the 50-60bb mags. And I usually carry about 7-8mags in my chestrig.

It's funnier in my opinion to reload sometimes in the heat of battle, instead of just shooting 400bbs in a row :P

Just some personal thoughts, Don't take it as an insult or anything :P

    Love your vids :D

  • Great vid.

This has nothing to do with your video, but in my opinion the "realcap" or the 30bb cap mags are not very realistic at all. It's true that they carry the same number of rounds as them real mags do, but with a real rifle you only need one bullet to take out your enemy who is hiding behind a bush or a box, since the real bullet goes through those materials. But a bb on the other hand, gets knocked out of its path by minor things like sticks in the forest, or a piece of cloth.

  • Couldn't agree more, which is why we always palm people off that say "Use Lo-Caps, it's realistic". Thumbs up!

  • your accent is so cool

  • great vid !! But personally i stroke my mags bottom because i like it !lol

  • Playboy

  • If I play with the bottom of that mag... will white things come out?

(I love how people are giving me negative feedback!)

  • make sure you stroke it long enough and when you've created a good build up of tension you'll get a good long white eruption

  • THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID

  • thats what she said

  • I tried putting a Playboy mag in my gun... but it just made my barrel all gooey! :(

  • Great video. You should put it as a response to one of scout's videos 'cause people are always asking about 'em on there.

  • I already knew about hicaps and whatnot, but I never knew about how the bbs got into the gun with the piston thing and whatnot.

  • cool
