I am a die-hard pats fan, I've like them as long as I can remember. But this year I think at best they can go 11-5 or maybe 10-6. Because of the AFC East being so good they will probably miss the playoffs..their defence is too old and too hurt to do anything in the playoffs anyways, we should work for next year. But i give mad props to the whole team for making it this far and for all those people who aren't cheering for them this year you aren't true fans...

maybe i'm overly-optimistic, but dude there's no way we're not in contention right now at 5-2. even if we lose to the colts sunday (america seems to think the colts, at 3-4, are better than the pats) they can still be in contention. yes, i'm well aware the secondary is shit, but hey meriweather and hobbs aren't bad and the linebackers (bruschi vrabel, mayo, and thomas) are fine. my record prediction: 10-6. that could be enough for the division and maybe a surprising playoff run

I'm with you all the way yeah we've had a couple of bad games...but shit we lost Tom and had to give Cassel a break in period he's doing pretty good I think. And I agree the secondary isn't the best but I think your about right with your prjection +- a game. I'm with them no matter what no wagon jumpers needed! I'm very optimistic that the Pats will have a good season. And look out next year Brady is coming back and all HELL is going to break loose! I hope and pray anyway!

I'd say this is the best place to add my input on the Patriots. Many sports analysts are calling them the best NFL Franchise of all time, based on what, their one and only record breaking season in 2007?

Until they have won 1 or 2 additional Superbowls without them being decided by a last minute field goal, average 30 points a game with an average of 250 passing yards and over 100 rushing yards a game, in 4 or more consecutive seasons, the Patriots are far from being the best of all time.

I'm glad the Giants won but for a positive reason! The Giants have lost for 16 yrs, they needed a win! The Patriots had 3 Super Bowl wins in the last decade. There are 32 teams to go for a SB-WIN on any given yr, 31 must lose! But to say I'm glad the Giants won just to put down the Pats is just hateful and to hate like that anything American is extremist and there is already too much 'hate' in our country! True, after 16 losing years they can relish this win. Frankly they came out with more fire than the Patriots and they seemed to want it more, they deserved it. I am also glad for Eli; to do in 4 yrs what it took 'big brother' 9 to do has got to feel good. After a lifetime of being the shy 'little brother' he has come into his own. When your always being compared to your older sibling and they do things 'better' it feels good to accomplish something wonderful on your own.
