Bought RE2 from PSN Store the day before yesterday.. Nostalgic, been 10 years since I last time played it.. then I watched this trailer and felt like crying. What happened to the original Resident Evil? FFS. At least I own the originals.

I'm really looking forward to this game. Raccoon City history with slow walking Zombies, Hunters and cerberus! Ahhh, exciting. I'm not much for the gun on gun fighting but hopefully there will be more shooting Zombies and other monsters instead. :D
Im hearing/seeing that alot of people are not liking this game. But this is a side of resident evil that needs to be told. Im sure in the resident evil universe something like this would happen. It cant all be creeping around dark corners. There needs to be a game where You send in people to just blast the zombies.
@youngatwista it is exciting blowning zombies or las plagas the fuck up is pretty fun to me, but it would be nice if they a game with all the puzzles and trying not to get lost ( i thought veronica was pretty cool) but companies games change over time and you either go along with the change or be stuck in the past and the new 3rd person res evil games became more popular so the company stayed with that.

Well...I got quite a few RE and they are really good. But I dont like the camera and aiming system in this game, I always thought the best camera for Resident Evil would be First person not third person, I looked up some reviews and hear that the campaign mode is quite bad...I don't know if I should buy this game or not.
I am going to buy the game, just because it looks fun...but i am not happy with the way they portrayed HUNK and his team...they all have different uniforms, but when they went in to collect the sample in RE2, they all were wearing the same uniform...and they were all men...little things like that bug me ughh

I highly doubt that it will. I read somewhere that games like this are doing away with the split screen co-op to encourage sales. People buy one copy and just share it amongst their friends instead of buying two. you will have to have 2 tv"s and gamesystems for that.
Haha this is funny all i know is i've played every RE game created for the playstation platforms. None have dissapointed me actually they keep getting better. Glad they remade Racoon City it will be good to relive one of the first and imo one of the scariest RE games made. I still remember jumping when nemisis would break through walls and grab you or appear out of nowhere. Im pumped to try the new 3rd person aspect of it. Stop hatin on capcom this game is gonna own!!!
@MrMogo12345 Both RE2 and RE3 had some scary moments in it. The original Tyrant from RE2 scared the hell out of me when he kept chasing the character through the building. Also, Tofu mode had better return.

I think I might give this game a try even though I think it's been completely pushed aside by RE6. They had a good idea by making a story from umbrella's perspective but I can't ignore the bad sound effects and it's just funny how the enemies bodies disappear right away. The AI is just terrible. The co-op system ruined this game for real. We already have left for dead so we don't need another co-op with zombies in it. I might buy this because of nemesis.

I've been a fan of Resident Evil since the 90s when I first played the second one. I liked them, but I don't think they had perfected the controls yet.
Then Resident Evil 4 came out, my favorite game of all time. The way it flowed, the way it moved, it was perfect.
Resident Evil 5 was good, but it took a step in the wrong direction. It wasn't a horror game at all, but an action game.
This looks atrocious. I'll play it, but it's not going to feel like RE.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and Resident Evil 6 are two completely different games. Gameplay wise they are different, Story is different , graphics are different. Don't compared them at all.
@MrSuperdude2234 Apparently you will the option to choose both sides good and evil but I think you will only unlock it once you beat the game. I think you will be able to play with Leon and Claire as well or they might release them as DLC.

I've been a fan of Resident Evil since the 90s when I first played the second one. I liked them, but I don't think they had perfected the controls yet.
Then Resident Evil 4 came out, my favorite game of all time. The way it flowed, the way it moved, it was perfect.
Resident Evil 5 was good, but it took a step in the wrong direction. It wasn't a horror game at all, but an action game.
This looks atrocious. I'll play it, but it's not going to feel like RE.

@vTHExUNKNOWENv Resident Evil was first to use third person view before Gears of War. Resident Evil 4's third person game play was developed in 2004 while Gears of War's first release was 2006. Therefore it can not be compared. "Gamers" consider Gears to own the third person shooters title and example only because horror survival games such as Resident Evil are underrated. It's only underrated because these "gamers" are afraid to experience fear and only enjoy pure action games.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and Resident Evil 6 are two completely different games. Gameplay wise they are different, Story is different , graphics are different. Don't compared them at all.

people should really stop calling 1,2,3 " survivial horror' survival sounds more action packed which is why 4-5-6 and this are more survivial horror , and its horror because theres monsters and zombies , do you see magical ponies? no. so its horror. RE 1,2,3 were more of a puzzle horror/ ammo conserving game. i rememebr you can just run past zombies and not even shoot. but now you actually have to kill them , which is why i like the new generation of RE

You can't call 4 or 5 survival since there really isn't any surviving going on.
Both games are more run and gun than anything else.
Ammo conserving is part of the survival horror genre, compared to RE 4 and 5 where you kill a zombie and a box of ammo falls out of it's dead body.
Do Spaniards and Africans eat ammo boxes full of ammo in the RE universe?! O.o
RE4 and 5 are considered Action Horror games not Survival Horror.
Anywho, Hoping for a demo of this game.

As for survival horror game, well sells suck they been in the toilet for years. Silent hill and fatal frame are pretty much the two main stream game still running that genres. This is of course from viewing the various work in progress plays and what they showed in nintendo meetings it's harkening back to lost in nightmares. You're gonna have to deal with changes because it's inevitable. I used to think like you do but I realize that you can't make capcom or any other developer really go the direction you want.
