@IAmHanuMan As I have already said, Jesus' claim was that He was the way, the truth, the life - the only way to salvation. Quite a different message than Buddhism.
@Yesica1993 "We are spiritually alike because of the indwelling spirit of God, but we can be quite different with regard to our philosophical interpretations and the way we think about our individual spiritual experiences. Jesus taught that we could have spiritual unity, without necessarily having philosophical uniformity. As individuals we can strive in our daily lives, as we come in contact with our fellows, to "love our neighbors as ourselves," even to love our fellows as Jesus loves us."
@IAmHanuMan "Jesus taught that we could have spiritual unity, without necessarily having philosophical uniformity."
I'm sorry, but Jesus said no such thing. If you are saying He did, please show me the evidence.
I provided the text of Jesus' claims (one of them), from His own words in John 14:6. You have not addressed that, and instead are saying Jesus taught something he never did. (And again, have given no evidence of where He taught it.)
@IAmHanuMan Some people think that Jesus may have studied in Tibet for about eighteen years, then came back and translated the Darma into Jewish terms. And lets not forget some of the less loving things in the Bible: Leviticus 20:13: "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
@Yesica1993 It´s not about what ancient profet yopu follow and what you call ytour faith, it´s about how you actually live your life, so in that remark these buddhists are very much christian if you know what I mean.

@IAmHanuMan : Uh....where'd you hear THAT crap? First of all, Buddhism was declared and defined by Gautama, who live 500 years before Jesus--so anything from Jesus can hardly be considered "part" of Buddhism, since Gautama, The Buddha, is considered to have been the "ultimate" teacher of Buddhism, and it's "ultimate authority."
@GetMeThere1 "In sum, the ideas to be looked at here are the possibility that Theravada Buddhism had an influence on Greek and early Christian thought, as well as the person known as Jesus, Issa, or Jehoshua, and that several hundred years later, the Hellenic concept of the Logos and the ideal of the perfected or Illuminated man, influenced Buddhism in India, possibly contributing to the rise of the Mahayana school."
@GetMeThere1 "The “lost years” of Jesus, Christian and Jewish settlements in India, Buddhism before Gautama, Buddhist communities in the Middle East, the Hindu mythology of Avatars and the pagan myths of Saviors born on December 25 are among the topics to be discussed. The importance of synthesizing this information is to provide a basis for a rational religion free of sectarianism, without sacrificing the true spiritual dimension in the process, as some New-Age reductionists have done."-wiki

China's experience and "enormous progress" in emergency preparedness and disaster risk reduction provide a good example for the rest of the world, said a senior UN official.
Valerie Amos, a former British diplomat who heads the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), will visit Shanghai and Beijing from Oct 11 to 17 before leaving for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Before setting off for China, Amos spoke with China Daily and other Chinese media at the UN headquarters in New York on China's role and contribution to the world body's humanitarian assistance efforts.
"China has always been a good partner in the UN system as a whole," said Amos, adding that China's contribution to the organization's humanitarian efforts "has grown over the years".
Last year, China gave about $11 million to the Haiti earthquake relief effort and $18 million to help tackle the flooding crisis in Pakistan, said Amos, who became the under-secretary-general for OCHA last September.
During the trip, her first to China, Amos will attend a regional partnership meeting in Shanghai and meet officials from key ministries, which she described as a good opportunity for her to "explore possibilities for sharing knowledge and experiences as well as to discuss ways that OCHA is working to become more effective as an organization".
"I particularly want the trip to focus on preparedness and disaster risk reduction. China has done a huge amount of work internally on this, and I think we can benefit in the region and globally from China's experience," said Amos.
"The meetings (in China) will be about how we see the challenges going forward for our humanitarian system as a whole - both in terms of the scale and depth of disasters," she added.
Amos said the OCHA can build on China's experience and enormous progress in dealing with preparedness and disaster risk reduction nationally and utilize that experience regionally and globally.
An estimated 13 million people in Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia and Djibouti in the Horn of Africa are facing severe food shortages caused by drought, according to the UN.
Somalia is bearing the brunt of the most severe food crisis in Africa. About 3.6 million people, half of the country's population, are at risk of starvation. More than half of all Somali children are malnourished, with six infants dying from malnutrition every day.
At a recent UN ministerial summit on the Horn of Africa crisis, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi announced a donation of $70 million in emergency grain aid and financial support, including a $16 million donation to the World Food Programme to support famine-relief operations in Somalia.
A most revelationary, well made movie. The accumulative energy of the practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism and 6000 monasteries did not keep the Chinese from occupying their country and destroying their civilisation. Gandhi’s noble pursuit of “no violence” nevertheless resulted in allegedly one million deaths when the Great Divide took place. Such is the reality of peace against power. Peace is a state of mind that guns, greed and hatred do not respect. The price for holding on to it, high.
The purest religion, actually can`t call it religion,it`s a pure knowledge of everything around us and inside us.It`s remarkable that such thing as Buddhism still exist in this rotten world...

Torture of Gao RongRong in the Longshan forced Labor Camp
The CIA operation in Tibet was a joke because the US would not provide air cover like is happening in Libya. If you know anything about wars air power is all important.
.
Libya is an internal struggle not a foreign INVASION like Tibet.
is the contact page in English to find out where your local Falun Gong practice site is.
.
Last time I checked there were contacts for about 70 countries on that page. Not bad considering it only began in China in 1992 and Falun Gong books were banned in china in 1996 (because it was rapidly becoming so popular that the CCP didn't like the competition).
Within 120 km of where I live I know 4 people who have recovered from disabilities through doing Falun Gong. One person had sore teeth and his teeth are OK now. One Falun Gong woman I know who is about 40 looks much younger than her age.
For me that's the proof of how good Falun Gong is.
You can say anything you like but if you don't have any evidence it doesn't really mean anything.
.
At a Falun Gong exhibition, a Russian wanted to donate money to Falun Gong. His donation wasn't accepted. But he could buy a painting if he wanted to.
I'm not aware of any Falun Gong disciple claiming to be a teacher.
.
Li Hongzhi says Falun Gong is Good. I'd say that's significantly understated.
.
Sometimes the best things in life are Free. That certainly applies to Falun Gong. Perhaps its the case of you are paying $ $ $ for something so you think you are getting something good. But you don't know the truth.
Don't you think some Buddhists have special powers ???
.
I've been to classes for another practice. I felt SO tired afterwards I needed a rest for 24 hours and gave up after only 3 beginner classes. FG is way better than that.
.
In fact that book I was telling you about looks really nice. But I wouldn't trust any of it, because I found some of the advice in it very poor.
If you are a motivated FG practitioner I my opinion you shouldn't have time to read other spiritual books.
.
An important thing is to find ONE path and stick to it.
.
I had a book from another cultivation practice that I was getting rid of. I regret even opening it as I read something that seemed correct (and fooled me at the time) but it was complete and utter rubbish. Sadly there are multiple copies of that book in the library.
Did you try the Falun Gong exercises at a Falun Gong practice site ???
.
The recommended way to get into Falun Gong is to go to a FG practice site. When you see how good the exercises are you will realise that Falun Gong is Good.
.
I knew the first time I tried the exercises that FG was something special.

"China has always been a good partner in the UN system as a whole," said Amos, adding that China's contribution to the organization's humanitarian efforts "has grown over the years".

"And I really want to explore with the Chinese authorities how we can do that," said Amos.
She also praised China's continuing effort in helping countries in need - the most recent case being the Horn of Africa.
"China is one of our key partners, responded very quickly and has been very supportive," said Amos.

Sometimes the best things in life are Free. That certainly applies to Falun Gong. Perhaps its the case of you are paying $ $ $ for something so you think you are getting something good. But you don't know the truth.

I've been to classes for another practice. I felt SO tired afterwards I needed a rest for 24 hours and gave up after only 3 beginner classes. FG is way better than that.
