I have to say, I think ive started liking this version more than the original.. and to be honest I think Noel should have always been lead singer, I prefer his voice to Liams, but then again Liams voice is so much more distinct and I suppose the songs they have written over the years wouldnt sound right without Liams voice.

Great song! I personally prefer the heavy version, especially in live performances between 2000 and 2007, but this version is still well sung and well played.

He plays it in a different key (B) instead of C. Based around the G chord shape at the start.

Slightly easier to sing the big chorus note and SOOOO Sally can't wait cos its note lower.

So makes it a slightly more user friendly arrangement of the song. I will post a lesson soon cos people seem to get confused.

What I like about Oasis is that they can re format their songs and make them sound totally different, while keeping the sheer brilliance of the tune. They can take their rock songs and tone them down for a more intimate performance (see Teenage Cancer Trust set list from Noel)
