I discovered Amber in Terrorizer's pages some 13 odd years ago; then I went hunting for Frozen in Amber... It was very difficult to get AA records in Portugal so for a while I've lost track of them; then there was all this press rash around Kris, depicting joint ventures with Annabel "Ruby Ridge" Lee or Tony "Invictus" Wakeford, so I had to check them out once again. Bitter River hasn't left my player for a fortnight. Wonderful, insightful, delightful. Go for it!
EXACTLY, Carpediablo! Even though I am one to champion original and preferably old instruments, it's time to teach newcoming listeners that sometimes you have to go electric. Electricity enhances your skills, you know...Those who lock the future are the ones Time leaves behind. (DP)
It's actually even older than that. This was originally a song by The Gault, an earlier band of Lorraine Rath and Sarah Weiner. It's available on their only album "Even as All Before Us". Different, but very much recommended.
As for Amber Asylum, I think they're the best group of ANY gender (possibly tied with Dead Can Dance).
buenisimo

I'm not the cello player, so I can't speak for her. I think she likes the electric because she has more control over the sound and can use effects.

Thanks for the info! Is the original version different from this one or what? Can't possibly be better than this.
