I know the rules to this game. I still don't know 90% of the time why they are putting their stones in the places that they do. It like a mile off from where the action is and commentator saying "whooo perfect move" 0.o

@greenghost2008 There are tons of references on the rules of this strategy game - try Google. It is still fails you, take a trip down to your local and have a few pints!
At least Koreans are nice enough to count with Chinese characters. White is 7 dan, black is 9 dan. That's all I needed to know and it's conveniently in Chinese script. =D
I loved this show so much when I lived in Korea. Most relaxing tv show ever. It's funny how the girls always sortof just... stand there and show reverence to the male presenter.
I wish Go was way more popular in the US, it's a really fun game. But unfortunately, the US doesn't have the patience to play. Well, most of them, anyways XP
A much more difficult game than chess, just because of the vastly wider possibilities for "next moves". I bet chess masters would turn insane if they were made to play a single match of go/baduk/weiqi ;)
Edward Lasker didn't... in fact, he was one of the creators of the American Go Association. I know it's tempting to bash Chess when Go is such a beautiful game, but do your best to say things that make even a little bit of sense.
lmao, i just read through some of the comments and i laughed at the idiot who said that these guys suck cuz there slow. this isn't really slow in the first place and what do you expect?? it's a strategic board game, you have to THINK, it's one of the aspects of the game retard.
and from the woman counting down, it sounds like they're using the timer system anyway.
Now that Bob Ross, Inc. has purged all the Joy of Painting videos from YouTube, I've been looking for a new comfort voice to listen to. Beautiful voice this man has. The woman, not so much.
japanese and korean are very similar in pronounciation so it's hard for a person unfamiliar with the languages to tell but i assure you, as a korean, that this is korean.
lol here's me replying to a 3 month old post again :P
b probably let the moyo destroyed in order to get the corner. But also note that w is not alive yet..But..if you consider that white is Choi Cheolhan, it will not die :)))
Is it ok to copy this from KBS without copyright? Let's live up to baduk standard. After all that is what Baduk, Weiqi, and Go are trying to tell us. "Cheating never pays"
AznXYZ- One of the main reason's why they are playing slow is because they are reading farther into the game. GO is generally a slower game, and just because someone plays slow doesnt mean they suck. If they are playing on T.V. these guys are atleast at dan level.
lol guys....i can't believe u guys seriously believed me but ok...these guys are pretty damn good, i jus play the game for fun from time to time and my fastest game was like an hour plus.
Just look at the formation, the black pieces that seem to look like they are wedged in between white's pieces. His formation at bottom left built up to extending to the top left black pieces. It isn't complete of course, but the potential is there, increasing his inner territories.

Hi, this was a 10 minute recording from KBS Korean TV to promote Baduk or GO as it is called in the US and Europe and I don't have the SGF file, sorry!
