@ achinoy, one woman told me she converted to Islam because it was not safe for her not to be, she told me once she had been converted she was no longer threatened. Plus as with any religion culture does influence religion as you well would know with the burqa coming from the desert culture, and is now, in some countries, part of Muslim womens attire.
