The inventor is currently in negotiations with Duncan. They will be making a magnetic yo-yo with magnetic counter weights. It will be an all aluminum yo-yo with fancy ball barrings and the whole 9 yards. It should be available before or slightly after Christmas.

Cool mashines, but it will affect spinning time. Bearings don't like magnets

The yoyos clinked together does run down spin time a bit, but with all the rim weight of the yoyos + the extra weight from the stacks, there's still plenty of spin time. =o)

stacks actually take away from the spin time. and so would the center weight of the magnents.

and the yoyos clinking together would only take a tiny bit of spin off.
