@Xitherun actually, check the wikipedia page of the album, you'll see she played several instruments....also, she wrote "wish I'd stayed" and "co-wrote" the others but she has also written for other artists such as Diana Vickers and Gabriella Cilmi....for all you know, she wrote the whole songs and it was the other "personnel" who changed just one line...

Only a terrible singer would be in that situation if they hadn't been taught to support their voice properly, so they actually injure their vocal chords singing like many 'pop' singers do. Think about professional operatic sopranos who sing for long periods of time using only the high notes. They rarely lose their voices.

It sounds great with the guitar. I'm used to hearing it with just the piano or violins and such. I like it a lot. I don't mind that she's kind of changed the notes in the chorus. She talked a lot about how her voice has changed and is different and deeper now. Maybe it's harder for her to hit the higher notes now. I'm not mad at her.
