  • In the beginning the male in the middle is.

  • Is that Adrian Danchig-Waring??

  • I LOVE Adrian Danchig-Waring

and Maria Kowroski and Teresa Reichlen.

I am the biggest fan of Wheeldon.

This is more captivating live to everyone who doesn't get why it's so amazing. Also, look up his ballet, Polyphonia.

  • already pretty much folded...... he is not consistent anyways. He's very creative but when it comes to stagecraft and making works to for the audience to feel, he usually misses the mark.

  • Kind of weird that they all look like clones.

  • Its amazing how all their legs are the same length

  • for the 12 of you who dislike... i dislike you :p

  • obsessed.

  • watched After the rain with nycity ballet? part one is great but that couple in 2nd part? too long and the music was a little too repetitious? Beginnings of minimalistic sound but....well, wishing the kid much success!

  • wow, ginastera? the kid is searching...he is back in nyc and well, he has so many dancers to choose from. He should create a ballet to silence without pointshoes...one that makes people cry? A sort of a mass? In memory of those in the other world?

  • Name of Music Please!?!

  • It's an excerpt from Tabula Rasa, by Arvo Part. I suppose the definitive recording is on a CD of the same name, along with several other of his works, including the ever-popular Fratres. ECM record label.

  • I love it. I so like balet!

  • I belive it is a Contemporary Ballet :)

  • that's wendy whelan and albert evans who come in at the end! the second half of this piece is very beautiful.

  • I never get tired of watching this!

  • You would probably enjoy Ashton's Monotones I and II as well.

  • @ondinedancer yawn.

  • Yes it is Teresa and Maria

  • Is Arvo Part a default choice amongst choreographers? Modern, but not too modern?

  • Beautiful!!!

  • ehh

  • 1.17 is crazy. they're all so leggy and flexible, interesting choreography as well

  • The blonde hair looks like Teresa Reichlen. I saw several of her performance with NYCB.. not sure, though..

  • Oh, how beautiful!

  • wow, is breath taking!

  • Wow!!!! I love it...

  • absolutely lovely and amazing!!

  • Brilliant..I really like Christopher Wheeldon! he's a fantastic choreographer!

  • does anyone know the name of this piece?

i love Morphoses, i think Christopher Wheeldon is a phenomenal choreographer and he picks THE BEST dancers. without a doubt we have the exact same taste...

  • I think this is called "After the Rain." Almost certain. I've seen in a few times but that was about 2 years ago.

  • These dancers are NYCB, however. This particular production is from the NYCB, not Sadlers Wells.

  • no i know, i mean when he picks NYCB people to choreograph on or when they dance for Morphoses, he always picks my favorites.

  • I saw this at Sadlers Wells... one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Christopher Wheeldon is incredibly talented.

  • Does anyone know who's the composer?

  • Arvo Part's Tabula Rasa

  • i don't get it. is it sadlers well's or morphoses?

  • Sadlers Wells is a dance theatre in London - and Morphoses is the ballet

  • Is the music Glass?

  • non

  • this choreography is amazing and i would kill too be that good and in that company

  • if anyone's curious, the music is the first section of Arvo Part's 'Tabula Rasa'.

if you're really curious, you should also look out for video of Ohad Naharin's choreography to this. absolutely outstanding.

  • wow Maria is stunning in this.

  • The dancers and the music are good. The choreography is weak...kind of boring..

  • all of my favorite dancers in one ballet.

  • I LOVE THE CHOREOGRAPHY! its physicaly soo demanding! they have such strong dancers!..id love to see more for this company!

  • Gee, wish I could kick myself in the butt like that!!! Ouch!

  • wow the gals got some damn long legs. yeeee haaaa

but the choreography is kind of static really. and seems like it is both trying too hard and not much guts at the same time.

    lets ballet olympics it!!!

    i give it a 4

  • AMAZING!!

  • i was watching maria the whole time, she is amazing.

  • coreografia chata pra caralho

  • Fantastic music, good dancers but I don't like the choreography. I feel like so much more could have been done with this music.

  • gorgeous. I thought Wheeldon's program in NYC could've been more balanced, but this company has a bright future ahead.

  • great dancers, good music, choreographically boring

  • great dancers, good piece of music , but choreographically boring.

  • I THOUGHT IT WAS AMAZING.

  • Not really my thing. Check out Casablanca, The Dance.

  • Theyare beautiful love it and I am so glad to see maria k, from NYCB!!! LOVE IT!!!

  • a little boring for me , but i loved the music

  • maria k!! my fave dancer in the world haha. love her.

    *cc*

  • well, and now the kid has a company and he has maria k. from nycb. soon his muse. He knows music, but should see some of jiri k. ballets to get an idea of the creative process. hOpe he choreographs Bach's chacone, and his oboe concerto in three movement? And hope he stays focused and away from any compulsive behavior. and the dance world need someone like him.

  • Beatiful pieces,,,and I love to watch the dancers. They have such a gorgeous body alignment...Can somebody tell me, where did they train? Thanks...

  • SAB

  • What SAB stands for, sorry I'm australian got no idea...

    Thanks

  • school of amer. ballet , the training school of nycb. focusing on Bourniville tech. Speed and musicality? but turnout, extensions and good looks they love. Who does not...after all dancers will be on stage and they will sell more tickets with these qualities.

  • SAB focus is on Balanchine's technique not so much Bourniville.

  • Hi SAB, the School of American ballet is in New York City. It is the school for the New York City Ballet both founded by George Balanchine. One of the greatest chore4ographers of the 20th Century.

  • School of American Ballet

  • Derivative tosh to a particularly poor version of Arvo Part

  • fuck u

  • argh! the pas de deux after this bit is prob my fav piece of choreography ever! please put it on lol

  • omg! this is awesome!
