So glad to find this clip. Gracie's HULA cracks me up. What set her and Lucille Ball apart from most is how gracefully and assuredly they moved - especially their hands. Gracie Allen started out in vaudeville as a dancer (with her sister), so body movement and rhythm would have probably been second nature to her. I love to watch Gracie and Lucille Ball handle "props" - they both knew how to do it superbly. Thank you for posting this.

@macraeman actaully this is very poorly done hula. Her fingers are all spread apart, and she was wearing SHOES which is a big no. lol and the steps were wrong. But I can see that she did her best, she probably didn't get to have proper lessons or anything.
They both do a good job with this little musical routine!
