  • I'm a huge Aerosmith fan and I gotta say this is a great cover of the original Rufas Thomas song

  • @aerofan89

    oh no stop the world

  • Please! Upload information about the band. My hobby is to rediscover all the great bands that didn´t "broke through". Listen for example to THE ZETTLERS and their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Berautiful Delilah". Believe me or not - the recordings were made 1965. Is really f-----g good with a bloody driving beat. Enjoy!

  • Bong hit!!

  • @areofan89. Its better than areosmith. ( Like if you agree!!)

  • @bjawhatsername It's actually not lol and that's not how you spell Aerosmith.

  • Stupid green day, they killled it. Stick to your own music unless you know how to do it the right way. Sorry but this just sounds lame..

  • @aerofan89 no suprise from a man called aerofan89... cmon man let em cover the song its not like there gonna go out and try to take credit for writing it.

  • @N617A yea your right, didn't mean for it to sound so negative.

  • just listened to the Stones version and Aerosmith version...can honestly say the Green Day version is the best

  • Love the picture at 0:12! Anyway, this isn't TOO bad....not really tight, I was actually expecting a better effort from Green Day...still have to respect them as a more modern band covering a classic. Personally, for me, this belongs to Aerosmith.

  • Rufus Thomas wrote it, almost EVERYONE covered it.. but to me.. this song belongs to Aerosmith

  • @jdogsguitar It belongs to The Rolling Stones..

  • @cfhscheer I just don't think it rocks enough in comparison

  • @cfhscheer Nope, it DEFINITELY belongs to Rufus Thomas. Aerosmith just PERFECTED it.

  • do you kids even know the stones? this is a tired washed out version of that..

  • @yiannilol

I like this cover but for me the version from Aerosmith is the best.

Also the original because of the trumpets.

  • @yiannilol do you even know rufus thomas? jk, but i do agree that there are better versions out there than this one

  • COOL - Love it!!!

  • Still prefer Aerosmith, sowwie

  • @greenteen85 lol

  • Fuckin' great cover, this is!!

  • this as close to the original as anyone has ever done......this is an old 1920's blues song.

  • They destroy it!

  • I think just about everybody has covered this: Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Randy California. It was originally performed by Rufus Thomas, who also wrote it.

  • @tigranvartanovitch no he didnt write it.its an old 1920's blues song.i have a copy of it from 1920

  • @emaclynch Thanks. I have seen lyrics with Thomas down as the composer. It's not the only "modern" song to be written back in the 20s.

  • @emaclynch cool!!!!!

  • To be honest, I actually like this version the best... Out of Rufus, The Stones, and Aerosmith.

  • hahaha! FATTONI!

  • like the stones version the best

  • Amazing. Hahaha

  • ....?

  • suck...

  • It's not my style but that's all, it's not bad or something...

  • FAIL.

    Aerosmith forever.

  • @drinaldi2000 It's not an Aerosmith song, buddy.

  • @Worldmusicrevolution

Uh, yes it is. It's on Aerosmith's first album. Made in 1973, which beat Greenday by almost 20 years. Rock on Joe Perry.

  • @drinaldi2000 its actually done first by rufas thomas

  • @drinaldi2000 And Rufus Thomas beat Aerosmith by 10 years when he sang the original in 1963. In other words, Aerosmith covered it.

  • @drinaldi2000 SHAME

  • @drinaldi2000

And Rufus Thomas beat Aerosmith to it by 10 years.

  • @LeslieRichardGrove Ah, true.

Rufus Thomas wrote it, Aerosmith covered it (perfected it in my humble opinion) and Green Day killed it.

  • @drinaldi2000 srry, stones!

  • @drinaldi2000 Aerosmiths version is pants! The sonics did it the best.

  • This sucks, check out The Sonics' version, that's a cover.

  • BONG IT

  • come on this guys cannot play R&B Aerosmith's version is amazing come on!

  • aerosmith's version is better but greenday's version is still good

  • @HannahRae11695 moron. try Rufus Thomas

  • should stick to the kids stuff dont try to play what the big boys did

  • where did you get this, a unrealsed studio recording or something?

  • @greendayfan98967 It was a on a demo tape for the album Dookie

  • Actually if you listen carefully, you hear Tré AND Mike in the chorus. Billie sings the verses though.

  • it's both tre and billie^_^

  • this song is sung either by billie joe iwth a tre accent or vice versa lol

but id have to say its billie you can hear his style in it

  • good cover

  • ROFL!

    bong hit!

  • I'm addicted to this xD

  • nope. i'm sure its billie. they both have very distinctive voices.

  • yea im pretty sure its billie

  • it's tre

  • Is that bong at the beggining of the reciording?

  • yep. sure is.

  • RATT. RUFUS THOMAS. NOT THIS

  • aerosmith the best version

  • I think the original by Rufus Thomas was the best one. this one is okay.

  • aerosmith suck

  • green day video i think

  • where can i download this song?
