This suggests that the Wagner-Hitler connection is not, in fact, "that simple". Sorry, but there's a lot od strings in this overture. And sometimes a lot of brass, and woodwinds. What's the problem? Has anybody out there ever tried to analyze what Wagner is doing here? It is a masterpiece! Not easy to understand maybe, but just try to listen to it as a whole...
