  • FOR TEH LULZ.

  • Because most of the Jewish filths are so fanatical that they are coming to Wangers videos in order to bash him for considering them the FILTHS they are

  • @Napoleontas Wow...

  • @Napoleontas calm it kermit

  • @zoop1100 Iam calm Jew

  • @Napoleontas ur an idiot

  • @MrBiace Subhumans, wasting my time

  • @Napoleontas i aint jewish, i hate all of the religions equally

  • @MrBiace I didnt said so

  • @Napoleontas I greatly dislike you... Ignorant asshole.

  • @TheMetalMan9000 Another subhuman wasting my time

  • why most of the comments only talk about jews?

  • kids only like justin bieber. lady gaga. slayer and stuff. this is the real rock and roll! im 13 but this is realy the best music out there

  • If you watch the Disney propaganda cartoon "Der Fuhere's Face" from 1943 the film starts out with the first few bars of this.

  • @Quasimodo1957 LOL!! You are so right. Pretty freaky.

  • @altareggo It was a comedy by Wagner. So...Disney tossed it into the mix. Of course the average Joe wouldn't have known and even today people wouldn't have a clue. Unless of course they had culture in their background like you and I sport.

  • 14/88

  • LISTEN TO THAT ANTI SEMITIC VIOLIN LINE. UNBELIEVABLE. THAT MODULATION IS CLEARLY MEANT TO SIGNIFY A MOVEMENT TOWARDS A SOCIETY WITHOUT JEWS. THIS IS MAKING ME NAUSEOUS. WHY ISN'T THIS BANNED

  • @version191 Its you who should be banned kid. Oh man, we are listening to music hit the high way with you politics and you semitic cry..

  • @Mertt03 Lmao, jesus christ.

  • @Mertt03 dont feed the troll dipshit

  • Instrumental music has no ideology

  • Wagner is a good composer, but I believe all his works are eclipsed by Friedrich Nietzsche.

  • I'm thinking of growing a neck beard.

  • @volunteersofamerica1 Don't do it! It iches like hell and if you fly the TSA will mollest you everytime.

  • die meistersinger..immer wieder ein genuss..bravo !

  • If we dwell on what was we can't truly enjoy the music. Let us all remove these ideas from our mind and let the beauty of this man's work pleasure our ear drums and our minds.

  • I don't get how this song at all is linked to Nazism or any form of facist government. The idea of Communism came far after Wagner's time.

  • Forgpt to write that. I love listening to this music while Im reading about Nazi germany. Gives you spesial atmosphere :=) Im NOT a nazi

  • Kleiner Gruß an meinen Vater, der bestimmt von oben zuschaut ;-))

  • I'm seeing this at the proms in a couple of days. CAN'T WAIT :D

  • The biggest danger in the world to day is feeble minded faux intellectuals who have know concept of the history of anything. They are more dangerous to mankind than most terrorists who at least have a cause to drive them. The majority of people who cannot listen or comment on music or art wthout dragging it down to the lowest common denominator, hate are suffering from delusions of adequacy of their own self importance. You have knowthing to add to the appreciation of great classical music.

  • @bobmattfran Thank you Captain Obvious, we're discussing Wagner here.

  • Genial. Simplesmente humano.

  • I can't listen to that much Wagner. I start getting the urge to conquer Poland.

  • @KKCvids thats woody allen ...be more creative

  • @KKCvids Yeah, and I'm getting the urge to throw you into a gas chamber. Prick!

  • @Calvarienberg Well it has, but your comments doesnt make any sense. A Jew lover "German"?

  • @Napoleontas A real German wouldn't follow stupid ideologies that would run a proud country to the ground.

  • @MindKillSwe It is a curious thing that the distraction of Germany is blamed upon Germans and the national-socialist ideology and not upon those whom they waged a world war against it in order to exterminate it.

A real German can separate truth from stupidity , and if the ideologies were "stupid" indeed the rest of the world wouldnt be so anxious to destroy it. You dont destroy something stupid, but something dangerous.

Stupidity is the status quo of modern times.

  • @Napoleontas Your whole comment is just filled with disgusting pseudo-intelligence.

  • @Calvarienberg Thank the gods that iam not living in a Pro semitic world.

And reffering to Jews at a video of Wagners music is an insult to the Master

  • wagner didn't hate jews. he hated german-jewish musicians of his time. he referred to his friendship with a french jew as " the most beautiful friendship of his life" (maybe not a perfect quote but got the jist)

  • How obvious is the SEMITIC brainwashing to the Ludicrous neo-European masses, Voltaire despised Jews, Wagner despised Jews, Luther despised Jews, Goethe despised Jews, Nietzsche despised Jews, Napoleon despised Jews, Cicero despised Jews, Hadrian despised Jews, the Jews are responsible for Bolshevism and currently rulers of capitalism, but yet modern westerners think that despising Jews is a a-priori "bad" thing, SUCH IS THE STUPIDITY OF THE MASS

  • Jew lovers must got and listen to Nagila hava ,here is Wagnerian music and if you want to demonstrate how much you like the parasitic Jew ,go to other videos to demonstrate it

  • people need to stop being so butthurt

  • JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC, geeez. The music didn't hate Jews, he did. Just 'cause he hated Jews (aloooooooooot) doesn't degrade the music's quality..

  • 88

  • Thomas Jefferson owned slaves. So I guess the Declaration of Independence isn't a great document with great ideals, right? I didn't think so. Wagner was an anti-Semite. We can cry ourselves to sleep over it, or we can listen to the amazing music he wrote, which exists independently of his social/political views.

  • we are all classy as fuck

  • I am a violinist. I play peices by all sorts of composers. I have played this one. Does that make me a nazi sympathizer? Does liking this music make people nazi sympathizers? My friends are jewish. And you know what? What hitlier did is too terrible to describe in words. Wagner could have made better choices, but he didn't. Most people everywhere were antisementic. But it was 70 years ago. And it is not like listening to this song will make hitler come back.

  • @WillowMyDog Voltaire really,, really, really, really,, really, really, really,, really, really, really,, really, really, really,, really, really, really,, really, really, really,, really, really, really,, really, really, really,, really, really, really,, really, really, really,, really, really, really,, really, really hated Jews. For all that, we still enjoy the b*stard's writing, do we not?

  • Arby n' the chief!

  • Simplesmente, humano. Fantástico.

  • "Greg?"

    talk to her ;)

  • nind so geilll hesslich

  • Wie dumm es ist Musik auf Nationalsozialismus zu spiegeln...

Wagner war ein sagenhafter Künstler, ihr verkackten Idioten!

  • @damnedcarrot shut up

  • @damnedcarrot Shut up. This isn't someplace to be saying things like that. It's to enjoy Wagner's music. Just because Hitler did doesn't mean anything.

  • thumbs up if you came here as soon as you watched the newest arby and the cheif episode

  • @punkmetalguy31NG seriously. I though I was the only one!!!!!

  • @YouJustGotOwnedXD I know I was trying to point that out

  • @PopCultureSucks I think that he got it.

  • @punkmetalguy31NG thumb down if not? xD

  • This thing is a bitch to play...

  • Shakespeare,Martin Luther and countless other figures that are revered were also anti-semites! Just get over it and enjoy this great piece of art!

  • @PopCultureSucks umm, Martin Luther, the 15th Century german priest who reformed protestant religion was an anti semite, Martin Luther King was not. I know you didn't say it was King but your intention to confuse was obvious.

  • @sebastionbach no it was not. I love Dr. King but he and Martin Luther are two very different people and judging that Shakespeare and Martin Luther are both revered Renaissance figures I used them as examples to say that just because they were anti-semites people don't look down on what they accomplished, I was just trying to get that point across and I am also not rascist, very far from it actually.

  • @PopCultureSucks ok, then your point was well made and I partially agree with it. Racist views shouldn't erode the quality of the work, just the integrity of the person behind that work.

  • @sebastionbach agreed.

  • I now have a sudden urge to invade Poland!

  • אנטישמי מזדיין

  • @shooshooman1020 Juden Raus!

  • music for the eternity

  • This is one kick-ass, incredible piece of music! Leave your politics and your hang-ups somewhere else. Put on your earphones, crank up the volume, and take the ride!

  • Love it

  • One of Wagners greatests attributes is that he was an anti semite. I think that´s what attracts me so much to this brilliant man and his glorious music. Long live Wagner, long live his music. Sieg Heil.

  • 8:35 to the end just makes me want to stand on the roof of a very high building and just stare at the surrounding city, feeling all infinite and what not. Maybe that's just me or something. Anyways, hauntingly beautiful piece.

  • .....Boogiepop Phantom...

  • @LamiaCancerCell Boogiepop actually, phantom is just a non-canon series

  • If an antisemitic Guy who works in a factory making some product, will the product be antisemitic. Will this product hate jews too?

Or will the people who are using it hate jews?

    I dont think so.

  • 9 Massad agents disliked this video.

  • peoples peoples peoples.. sigh, if u allow yourself to become, induced by the essence of the drive.. then u r just like wagner.. in his anti-semite beliefs ! .. well comparison to his nazi affiliations.. so hence, if in 100 people, 51 people believed his affiliations, then u are OBLIGATED through social-contextual affinity and conformity.. to believe it. then u r like Wagner.. with his anti-semite views.. now i suggest u sit down, and practice Beethoven ! .. atleast his mad ! and deaf..

  • @teddythebenny The nazis would appear well into the furure, and sound like a loon

  • Wagner was, just like everyone including you, not perfect enough to please every single person on the earth. Yes he was anti-semi but so were millions others at that time in Europe. He was a composer, in fact a damn good one, who left us a truly great collection of music.

  • @wonsuckchoi for the people who are here who actually appreciate this man's music, and not to criticize him. Im Numa, and i agree with this statement

  • TP472 : because most people who come to U-Tube do not know anything about any kind of history. Political, musical, economical...

and then they heard soemwhere that Hitler like Wagner and that the Nazis used his music for propaganda and patriotic purposes....

Therefore WAGNER must be a Nazi !

You are right. Why don't they just stick to enjoying his beautifull music.

The Man was a God sent Genius whose music is to be enjoyed withou having to put up with political propaganda considerations.

  • @VIRIATO1942 He was still an anti-Semite...

  • @fattoler dude, go into a time machine (not the one from back to the future, i mean the one from back to the future, with flying TRAIN! .. since there was no cars at that time, but trains XD).. and ask the local customs officer... or lawyer.. or gambler.. or taxman, civil servant of any kind.. or musician, or art dealer.. or anyone in particular, especially walking down the streets of prague, Kiev, Moscovy, Berlin, .. cept London.. everyone would say, i`m a anti-semite cause royalty is ! .. sigh

  • Why does every video of Wagner's music have to turn into a debate about the Nazis? People should just enjoy the music.

  • @tp472

Well this because he was an anti semite. During the 3rd rieich Wagners music was played much in both radio and in big arrangements like the ones in Nurnberg. He was Hitlers favourite composer and Hitler had friend in the Wagner family. Thats why

  • @rkj1963 I realise that, but the fact that Hitler liked his music doesn't change the fact that it's still great music. Lots of great composers, artists etc. had unfortunate views, but we can still enjoy their work without necessarily liking the people behind it.

  • Comment removed

  • @tp472

    It's stupid I agree.

However it mainly has to do with the fact that Adolf Hitler once said that to understand National Socialism, one first had to understand Wagner.

  • @tp472 Yes, we should just lay back and become passive observers to the horrors of the world around us. Never questioning the establishment, never trying to change, perpetually repeating the mistakes of those who came before us. If we didn't argue then much of the things we all take for granted today would not be available to us. Be thankful that we argue. Besides its great entertainment and easily avoided if you do not care for it.

  • maestosa e piuttosto robusta la sinf. dei Maestri C............, NEL COMPLESSO MI PIACE TANTO, abbasso la dodecafonia invece, vaff..............

  • The prototype of Parsifal is iranian.

  • So sweet and tender and at the same time powerful!

  • noble, heroic, tender! time to go to nuremburg for xmas fair and lebkucken!! ALL HAIL RICHARD WAGNER--WORLD'S GREATEST COMPOSER! ALL HAIL!!

  • De geschiednis van de muziek. Het establishment, de strijd tegen het establishment. Na de strijd wordt men willens nillens zelf het establishment. Weinig te zien met de verafgoding van de Mammon natuurlijk.

  • @Calvarienberg Lots of Waagner's music is "intense"... but i like the overtures MUCH better than anything else he ever wrote. Pity he couldn't have just written overtures and not bothered with all those fat ladies and demi-gods screeching and hollering, lol!!

  • @HolyMotherofGrid - I love Wagner but I sympathise with your viewpoint. The late great British conductor Sir Thomas Beecham said that Wagner has some "great moments" but some bloody awful and interminable quarter-hours!

  • Technically, this is a prelude because its stage version it goes directly into the opera's first act, unlike true overtures.

    Wrulf Gunkl VonGlashaus-Steinberger

  • The great composition!

  • Can someone tell me the performers of this version. This is the best version I have ever heard.

  • listening for the first time but I'm already in love with it!

  • Richard Wagner was a great man and a masterful musician. His spirit and teachings will inspire not only the Germans, but the entire Aryan race to remove themselves from the current morass they are mired in and reach new heights of greatness heretofore only dreamed of.

  • Anyone who gave this song a thumbs down listen to Slim Shady.

  • wagner is a wonderful feeling you get inside when you hear his art. as for the person asking why nazis claim this music? its because he was an anti-semitic & xenophobic bigot, whose non-musical writings were much admired by hitler. a pure musical genius which i admire so.

  • Why do Nazis and their admirers claim this music as theirs? This music is part of the world heritage, it's universal for all earth inhabitants to listen and enjoy. Just like Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Elgar, Saint Saens, Mozart, etc, etc. "Alle Menschen Werden Bruder", All Men Are Brothers.

  • @billace90 ...Hilter had a great love for Wagner's music. It's that simple. Now, why Hitler had a great love for Wagner's music is quite particular. Keep reading about both and you'll see the homogenization of these two people.

  • @captainmorgan757 - Daniel Barenboim, the Jewish conductor / pianist, loves Wagner and got into trouble a year or two back by playing Wagner is Israel. This suggests that the Wagner-Hitler connection is not, in fact, "that simple". Wagner may have been an unpleasant person but he was incontestably a great artist, far more talented than many of his critics.

  • @londonscot1 Hitler loved Wagner's music. A simple fact. It is that simple. Why complicate it? Again, why Hitler loved Wagner's music is more complex. Continue to learn more about these two individuals and one will understand the complexity.

  • @captainmorgan757 -

    Reality can be complicated!

I have already studied Hitler / Wagner. I've also read George Orwell's essay "Benefit of Clergy" in which he outlines the longstanding distinction / confusion between the artist and his art (using the example of Salvador Dali, a true nutter but an artistic genius).

Here's the test. Do you really think Barenboim is a Nazi for promoting Wagner's music?

Also - "Parsifal". Clearly inspired by Christianity, not fascism!

  • @captainmorgan757 Sorry to butt in, but just because one dictator liked a musicians music does not mean that musician is affiliated with that party of the dictator. Would you say Tchaikovsky was a communist because Lenin and probably every communist leader liked his music? Remember Hitler was also an artist. So if he liked Monet would that have made Monet a Nazi?

  • @indoorin are you a product of a public education? Wagner died six years before Hitler was even born. How is it that you are equating Wagner with being a Nazi or even being sympathetic with the Nazi party? Lenin was twenty-three when Tchaikovsky died, which was twenty-six years before the Czar was killed. St. Thomas Aquinas said one should never discuss anything with people that with not accept facts. I give up one you people! So you may continue your liberal-minded nonsense without me.

  • @captainmorgan757 I was advocating that Wagner was not a Nazi.

  • @captainmorgan757 P.S. I'm a republican.

  • @captainmorgan757 Actually, Richard Wagner's grand daughter smuggled 1000 jews out of Germany while being a part of Hitler's inner circle...

And I do accept facts :)

  • one of my favourite composers :) it's actually quite amazing how he revolutionized not just music but the theatre. he's a true genius...

  • The first 10 sec of this intro, i was like, oh shit did i just click Donald Duck: In The Fuehrur's Face---For those who have not saw it it just copy Donald though Face and watch allways.

  • @KarstenKriwat

"es lebe Wagner"??? It lives Wagner??? or did you mean; "Ich liebe Wagner".

  • @Obstacle11 ESTAS EN LO CORRECTO, LOS NAZIS LO ESCUCHARON WAGNER NO TIENE LA CULPA, WAGNER ES LO MAS GRANDE, ME HACE LLORAR ESTA OBRA, TAL VEZ QUISE DECIR QUE LO RELACIONO CON LOS NAZIS PERO PUES ES APARTE, GRACIAS POR TU COMENTARIO, SALUDOS

  • I'm just wondering if this racist scum spreads over every single Wagner video available on YouTube?

  • Wagner's brilliance as a composer is second only to John Williams.

  • @jurassicxpark

    Are you kidding?

  • @jurassicxpark your crazy... how about mozart? or tchaikovksy?

  • @musicfanof

None can compare to John Williams!!

  • Das ist unglaublich schön!!!

  • This is my orchestra audition piece for trumpet. Fun stuff.

  • Like the ad for this video right now. Holocaust Tours? lol

  • @chimera15 hahahaha

  • Who cares if Wagner music was the prefered of the Nazis in Germany?

Jews and non-Germans all over the world love Wagner...those who have a taste for good classic music and opera, of course. Wagner compostions are complex, long but beautiful. They convey a mix of beauty, power, virility and the strong will and discipline of the Teutonic race. Long live the great music of this great composer. Leave politics and ideologies aside and just enjoy it...if you can !

  • @Gargantupimp Wagner wasn't even born when the National Socialists came to power in 1933.

  • @He101A In fact, Wagner was long dead :-)

  • @FromUSAwithLove True, Wagner wasn't even alive when Hitler was born.

  • @He101A Thanks commander obvious for that clarification on the life span of Richard Wagner.

The point isn't that he wasn't alive during the regime. Afterall Karl Marx wasn't alive during the rise of communist Soviet Russia.

The fact is that Wagners Ideas lived on through his music, and they penetrated every facet of German society and still do to this day.

Even after Wagners death his AntiSemitic ideas moved on to other men like Hitler and Gobbels.

So in that way,Wagner is the original Nazi

  • @AndreHiltre Jazz is one thing you ignorant buffoon

  • @AndreHiltre I,m black, and I agree with you. I just wish you would be a little more sensitive to others as you would want the same respect. You sound like a smart individual, but when you say these things you become a ignorant nigger like the ones you speak of.

  • @BeatMkrMuzik

Im sorry, I must have been very angry or pissed when I wrote that. Frankly I love the wonderful acheivement of the Northern European culture, and in the current world I am anxious and concerned for it's surival. The world admires the inventiveness and cultural output of our past, but our present is dying, corrupt and rotten. As a white man i respect you for understanding Wagner and I hope you can feel for the concerns many white people have for their future.

  • Richard Wagner....incredible man...

  • Opera is way different than I thought?

    is this Opera?

  • @sgsfdgfsdfsdfsddf its an overture, which presents the 'highlights' of an opera before the actual performance, which is done mostly in vocals with the orchestra as an accompaniment.

  • Back in the late 1970's I played for a community symphony orchestra... we did this piece and it was the first time I had a tuba solo :)

  • Wait I don't get it how come there is an argument in a youtube Wagner video about the quality of the music and not a one about anti-semitism or Nazism?

  • Sorry, but there's a lot od strings in this overture. And sometimes a lot of brass, and woodwinds. What's the problem? Has anybody out there ever tried to analyze what Wagner is doing here? It is a masterpiece! Not easy to understand maybe, but just try to listen to it as a whole...

  • attractive note by one of the brass at the end =)

  • hermosa sin duda hermosa que un oido puede escuchar

  • @PJinBston Second-rate by what measure? Certainly not the human ear as evidenced by the innumerable lovers of his music.
