There is such a big difference in the 2010-11 season and 2011-12 season already. I think that many of the teams have changed due to the NBA lockout. Unlike the NFL, most players will get a contract in D-Leauge or European basketball leagues to make more money, especially after the extent of time it took to get the season started again. NFL players wouldn't have taken contracts with the CFL or USFL because they knew it wouldn't be needed. NBA players didn't know if the season would start.

@stevechen1991 this is no surprise for us mavs fans, Dirk has been playing like this since 2006, his defense was a joke during the coach nelson days, but he improved significantly enough to be an average or slightly above average atleast right now, and statistically Dirk has had better playoffs numbers before, difference this time is that the team is also stepping up, and chandler brought great defense to the mavs as a team.
