I use GDAD as in Irish music. [regular tuning is GDAE]
For many years I used ADAD, which is easier for a lot of tunes, but GDAD gives you the possibility to play more interesting chords.

Sorry I forgot to ask....What are you using for the open tuning (before capo is added).

Thanks....I tune my Cittern GDAEA which works very well for playing melody, but not as friendly when chording
What a brilliant composition! Your a wonderful composer! If you have anymore Please post them. Also that Mandola has a wonderful tone to it, who made it?
