Banded Krait - Bungarus fasciatus - Deadly - Thailand

In the year of 1995 I got bit by a banded krait, in Bangkok, and ended up in hospital. The serum(antidote) were never an option as Ipassed valid time for such treatment(within the first hour) before I got there. After around a week I got out and realised pretty soon that it was not the end of it.

It took me 5 years, as the doctors predicted, to get well. No nice years.. The effects were far worse than tales or any myths would have tought me . What doesn`t kill U, makes U harder, not true,weaker

NOt sure I would be holding this even in daylight (when they are allegedly less inclined to bite) - they have pre-synaptic neuro toxins which means antivenin does not work - teh nerve receptor is dead - you basically have to ewait until it grows back or do without the function (not to convenient if it is diapragm muscle etc.)

I think antivenin does work, but it only prevents further damage from happening. It's true that once you're bitten, recovery can take months as the body slowly repairs itself.
