Made a batch of these last night. Absolutely awesome. Very nice work on the videos also. Now if you could just do a video on authentic New York style brown onions, then I can pretend to be back on the island @ a hot dog truck, lol. Thanks so much for this recipe!
Daniel - This is fantastic! Love your video and commentary. Was that you making the knish or your Imma? I will be making these today! Will let you know. Are you married? Such a nice young man... ;)
@AznVi3tBoi Ah! Hold the egg between your thumb and middle finger. Your pointer finger rests in the center. Give it a tap on the table. One clean, hard tap. You want to create a fracture, but not shatter. Then push your thumb and middle finger up, and your pointer down. The egg will split at the fissure, and pivot around your pointer. Easy! Buy a box of eggs and practice.
I take back my comment from your first video, I actually learned something from these videos. Before this I never knew what these things were called, and now I do so yay.
ps... darn you and calling dibs... oh well im already married so I guess I wasn't in the running
I'm embarrassed to say that I've never had a knish... I would have to say the closest thing to a knish that I've eaten is a burekah (sp?)! I guess they're sorta like cousins, right?? Oy my ancestors are ashamed...
BTW totally calling dibs on marrying Dan D, just saying... LOL
I love spinach and cheese knish!! Dan this is perfect for the carboholic like me - potatoes in dough - yum, LOL!! See ya at the Fat Farm, LOL!! Side note some Matzo Ball Soup would go great with my Knish!
Another really great episode, but I have got to stop watching your videos when I'm hungry...good thing I have homemade french bread and lasagna waiting in the kitchen!
