  • Close but no cigar mr.momsknish

  • I'm hungry for a Knish now......

  • Oh yum. 1st time I heard of this

  • How many servings does this recipe make?

  • OY! JOY! I'm so hungry........

  • A food which has eluded and intrigued me for a long time. Thanks for the tutorial!

  • @TheBaconEggAndCheese For sure! Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Gimme a potato knish, throw in a pletzel, a strawberry for later...put some mustard in the bag...

Yonah Schimmel's in the 60s....a dark little bit of heaven on the lower east side....

  • @kidfromstatenisland Still is great!

  • Made a batch of these last night. Absolutely awesome. Very nice work on the videos also. Now if you could just do a video on authentic New York style brown onions, then I can pretend to be back on the island @ a hot dog truck, lol. Thanks so much for this recipe!

  • @MrDwayne220 Thanks much! Glad you enjoyed them and the video.

  • I will have mine with bacon and lobster!

  • @EscapeNewJersey Oh man yes!

  • Looks disgusting!!

  • @EscapeNewJersey It's not!

  • Daniel - This is fantastic! Love your video and commentary. Was that you making the knish or your Imma? I will be making these today! Will let you know. Are you married? Such a nice young man... ;)

  • @KellyLeebaKinseth Haha - no, not married. How did they come out?

  • Gotta try it!

  • @lsatlof yup yup!

  • by the way... thought i would say that these Knishes are like the vietnamese banh bao...

  • @AznVi3tBoi Oh yea! I can see that!

  • dan how did you do that thing with the egg? TEACH ME PLEASE LOL!

  • @AznVi3tBoi What thing with the egg?

  • @danieldelaney 2:00 mark! no yolk broken and no shells WTF! (see what i did there?!) LOL

  • @AznVi3tBoi Ah! Hold the egg between your thumb and middle finger. Your pointer finger rests in the center. Give it a tap on the table. One clean, hard tap. You want to create a fracture, but not shatter. Then push your thumb and middle finger up, and your pointer down. The egg will split at the fissure, and pivot around your pointer. Easy! Buy a box of eggs and practice.

  • I take back my comment from your first video, I actually learned something from these videos. Before this I never knew what these things were called, and now I do so yay.

ps... darn you and calling dibs... oh well im already married so I guess I wasn't in the running

  • @faylinameir BOOM! There ya go! Glad the video's have started to work out for ya! Bummer about the marriage. Never say never. :)

  • @bichitochachi wow! thank you. so glad to hear you're enjoying them.

  • I'm embarrassed to say that I've never had a knish... I would have to say the closest thing to a knish that I've eaten is a burekah (sp?)! I guess they're sorta like cousins, right?? Oy my ancestors are ashamed...

BTW totally calling dibs on marrying Dan D, just saying... LOL

  • @sillysnowflake that also looked like a burekah to me!

  • @sillysnowflake HAHAHA! When are we getting married?!

  • @sillysnowflake I called dibs first!

  • this looks soo good! :D thanks for sharing!

  • In Poland we have Knysza (Knysha). Knysza - pita bread with meat and lots of cabbage and vegetables, two types of sauces and roasted onion on top

  • @blooz87 yum! sounds delicious.

  • I love spinach and cheese knish!! Dan this is perfect for the carboholic like me - potatoes in dough - yum, LOL!! See ya at the Fat Farm, LOL!! Side note some Matzo Ball Soup would go great with my Knish!

  • @ItsMeFawn HAHAHA! Yea… :(

  • Another really great episode, but I have got to stop watching your videos when I'm hungry...good thing I have homemade french bread and lasagna waiting in the kitchen!

  • @aglanceatmyworld Sos sorryyyy! But that french bread sounds goooood.

  • Those look delish! I'm definitely going to have to make some.
