Valhala...Peak oil may be true. Regardless, there is a law called "economies of scale." As prices get higher, we transit to another good or service. In this case, if you add up the market capitalization of all the alternative fuel companies that are publicly traded...the government does not have the money to match that kind of investmetn in alternative energies. You may be right about peak oil, however its detrimental effects should only be short term only if its true.

I have been thinking of selling my silver i have about 40 maples and 20 or so ounces in coins but now im saving it. Once i get a job i will buy what i want right now i use my golden rule 50% silver and 50% spending you wouldnt beleiv how much you accumilate in a month. So there are bigger things to worry about than little money trouble. 25% of human effort should go to building a like "Noah's ark" type of self sustaining spaceship. 25% of effort should go to figuring out how to prevent a thing like that on the video. 49% should go to trying to live in peace and happiness together and 1% to this comming collapse of economy. I agree on the thought that people going to 'church' are going to 'get it'.Over the past 5 yrs. Ive watched the 'church' become one big marketing commercial,all these people coming forward saying:'Oh, Im a Christian,blah,blah..." Ive experienced some rejection in church, to the point where I began to second guess its motives and existence.I agree 'the wilderness' is where you find God,and it aint no pic nic people.Its absolute pain for one thing.Not many people are willing to deeal with it.

I went this weekend to buy ammo for my rifles and the store owner said that he is selling out of every rifle ammo and .223/9mm/30 cal that he can get. .223=m16/AR-15 and I believe 30 cal is ammo for the AK-47. He is selling the AKs as fast as they get to his store also and he said everybody is saying they are quietly getting ready for civil unrest. I've been ready for a long time but what he said confirms what I had suspected--people around here are expecting the worst. food for thought-huh?

I'm on 40 acres and I know how to survive without money and raise/slaughter/preserve my own food but how many folks can do that now? 2) Peak oil is a crock (another 'show') as is the economic collapse. Don't get me wrong, this does not mean it won't happen... but as it happens remember that the USA has enough surplus back up of everything needed to maintain life as a self sufficient entity for 300+ years

Valhala...Peak oil may be true. Regardless, there is a law called "economies of scale." As prices get higher, we transit to another good or service. In this case, if you add up the market capitalization of all the alternative fuel companies that are publicly traded...the government does not have the money to match that kind of investmetn in alternative energies. You may be right about peak oil, however its detrimental effects should only be short term only if its true.

we're in hype-mode prehyperinflation. Sectors act as balls in games which peasants are in awe of, up/down. Majority can't grasp simple truth, opinions are worth squat, fiat$ close to being worthless in re to essential services/products. Prior to hyperinflation, many will fall for hype, falsely believe they can invest what is unreal to get what's real. Sheep chase ghosts/empty shells, characters in the game of life, looking to blame fiat beings who are bought/paid for who abet earth/mans demise.

great stuff. But you seem to bit somewhat overconcerned. The thruth is easy: US's debt is that high that they won't be able to pay it back. All they can do is lower the dollar and at the end the system will burst, but the gold will increase sametime, think of the gold in fort worth. After the burst the euro will be the world currency and many of US's debt will be gone. The financers of US (asia/russia/arabia) are already making more solid investments but they will loselot of money after burst

I have been on Mot's blog and nowhere did he claim to be a prophet. He just pays attention to what is going on out as we should also be doing. Mot has taken it to a higher level that's it. The news is out there if you look you will find it.

Who put this guy Ben Bernanke in charge of the FED? He's a weasel who keeps doing the wrong thing. I don't think he's making the decisions though.
Let's see. Inflation is increasing so he LOWERS interest rates. That's is the opposite of what should be done.
